01:29One of the most overwhelming and emotional moments I had during the game's development
01:33was when we opened ION to players at a PC cafe in the form of a friends and family test.
01:37We finally got to watch people playing and enjoying the game after many years in development.
01:42We have been getting a lot of questions from the community over the past few weeks
01:45that they wanted us to bring here to ask to the development team, so we figured why not.
01:51There's been a lot of curiosity in the forums about how abyss points work.
01:55How do I gain them and how do I lose them? What do I do with them?
02:00The more you play in the abyss, the more you engage in PvP, PvE, you will start to accumulate these
02:06abyss points.
02:07And you can do two things with them.
02:08One, you can let them pull up and that will increase your rank in the abyss.
02:13Or you can choose to spend them on abyss items, armor, stuff that is abyss specific.
02:21Players seem to like weapons that change their looks when they are drawn or have special effects when used in
02:26a fight.
02:27Players are having a lot of fun with a sword that extends to attack an enemy at long range.
02:31In the case of item stats, since ION is a game with opposed factions, players love abyss items that enhance
02:36PvP-related attributes.
02:37One of the most frequently asked questions that we've received is, will there be instances in-game?
02:43And the answer to that is yes.
02:46As ION evolves through further expansions and updates, we are going to add many new dungeon instances.
02:52In fact, version 1.5 of the game already contains many new dungeons.
02:55For example, we recently added a very large flying ship instance with three to four hours of gameplay and a
03:01new storyline.
03:02We are planning to theme upcoming instances with environmental graphics that are different from the existing ION world, or zones,
03:08in both substance and flavor.
03:10Another question from our community forums was, will players have mounts?
03:16My favorite feature of ION is gliding.
03:18When playing an MMORPG, players inevitably spend a long time traveling around the world.
03:22Gliding gives characters a different movement option and another perspective from which to view the scenery,
03:26while adding enjoyment to the aspect of overland travel.
03:29It also adds strategic components to PvP that I really like.
03:32Currently, we didn't feel the need to implement a mount in-game, but never say never, might happen.
03:40We have discussed adding a character housing system.
03:43This system would let players fulfill their desire to own property, decorate, and design houses,
03:47enhancing the role-playing aspect of the game.
03:50Why do Asmodeans have that mane on their back and their neck?
03:54Such a funny question.
03:57Yes, I was responsible for that.
03:59We put that in to enhance diversity and differentiation between the two races.
04:03It's a process of evolution.
04:05At the time of the epic cataclysm, the Asmodei had no sunlight,
04:10and the Asmodeans really had to evolve to adapt to this environment.
04:14So they have certain features that you're not going to find on the Eleos.
04:17They're all there for a reason.
04:18I'm presuming it's to keep them warm because it's always snowing in Asmodei.

04:25Our beta community has been extremely curious about crafting.
04:29They want to know, can I become an expert at more than one profession?
04:32Basically, right now in-game, you can pick one that you become an expert at,
04:36and you can level all the other ones up to a certain point.
04:39For our 1.5 update, we're actually going to be implementing another expert slot.
04:46So your character will be able to become an expert at two professions.
04:49So all you crafters out there will be able to pick more than one profession to become an expert,
04:55and create some very unique and cool items for your legion.
