00:00So, Darren, it's really interesting because you said this has come into a combustible situation.
00:04And we spoke about the staffing shortages in air traffic control and also TSA.
00:10What's led up to this moment?
00:13Why is the U.S. facing this and LaGuardia Airport?
00:17This is basically a failure of our elected officials in Congress.
00:22You have the Democrats that are looking to block a bill that is being pushed forward by the Republicans.
00:31The Democrats want more provisions against the ICE agents.
00:36The ICE agents are basically the law enforcement component that's responsible for deporting individuals that are in the country illegally.
00:43The Democrats want more ramifications or more support components attached to ICE, such as the ICE agents not being able
00:54to wear masks.
00:55And the ICE agents should be forced to have a warrant when they enter a private residence or a business.
01:03Those are the points of contention as it relates to the shutdown.
01:07So, as a result of that, we have TSA agents that are not being paid.
01:14Upwards of 400 TSA agents have since left that job.
01:18And we also have skeleton crews working in TSA because you have a lot of the TSA agents that are
01:24simply not coming to work.
01:26They're calling out sick because they're not getting paid.
01:28Ultimately, it's the customer that is flying in these airports that shoulder in the burden.
01:34And that's where we have these massive delays, as you see on your screen.
