01:46out, we would really like this bank robbery and if we could get out in this kind of violence.
01:52Like, these are very early inspirational stuff that's very nice for when you work with a story to say, this
01:57is where we would like to go.
01:58It also gives a very good indication of what people on the team likes to work with.
02:08Having young guys, if you look at this guy, like this, like that's exactly what we don't want, like he's
02:16way too pretty, he's perfect in shape, he's like, he's not at the end of the rope, right?
02:21He's not, he's not kind of like the guy behind.
02:25This is more the atmosphere that we've been looking for, really characters that kind of fitted in the, in the
02:32storyline that we were looking for.
02:38When we started Cain and Lynch, we had a little bit of a game before that, and Cain was kind
02:43of the star of it, and it was a single player story thing that was going along,
02:47but Lynch was there as a, as a bystander, almost a sidekick, and he just kept popping into the story.
02:54Whenever we did a scenario, it was like, oh, it would be nice to have Lynch here, and why don't
02:58we use Lynch to bounce back on a dialogue or something like that?
03:01And then, at one point, it became quite apparent that it, the whole thing evolved around a, kind of a
03:07buddy movie genre.
03:09Stop bitching. We still got a long night ahead of us.
03:12Bitching? I'm not bitching. We just hate being ignored.
03:15It's not a game where you have to sit and, you know, oh, listen to story, listen to story, play
03:20difficult gameplay or anything.
03:21I think we've hit a pretty nice mix of giving you some background info, giving you some character, giving you
03:27some reason to not like these guys.
03:29I don't like them. I might approve of Lynch. I definitely dislike Cain, but I still care about him.
03:35That's kind of been our approach to, you don't really have to have characters that you can relate to completely.
03:42Look at Scarface or Unforgiving or anything like that, like they're bastards, but I still care about them a little
03:48bit, and that's kind of the path that we've taken with Cain and Lynch.
03:50Cain and Lynch is essentially a story about two fairly normal men that ruined their lives.
04:00It's, uh, and they ruined it so badly that they can't really come back to it again.
04:06So they lost their connection with their old life, and they're trying to fix it so much, like very, very,
04:11really trying to fix the trouble.
04:13But the harder they try, the worse they make it, and they're both in a situation where they never really,
04:20they always fail.
04:41So they don't have to let them grow.
