Japanese baby monkey Punch 🐒 was first introduced to the Monkey Mountain enclosure at Ichikawa City Zoo, Japan, at just 4 months old in November 2025.

The Real Story of baby monkey Punch 🐒– Punch‑kun is a baby Japanese macaque (snow monkey) born on July 26, 2025, at the Ichikawa City Zoological And Botanical Garden in Japan. He is around 7 months old now and growing stronger every day.
Shortly after he was born, Punch‑kun was rejected by his mother — something that can happen when a mom is inexperienced or stressed. Because baby macaques need their mother for food, warmth, and emotional bonding, zookeepers stepped in and hand‑raised him, feeding him from a bottle and caring for him around the clock.
Still, Punch needed something else — a source of comfort he could cling to. The keepers gave him a large soft toy orangutan, and Punch immediately formed a strong attachment to it, hugging it, sleeping with it, and dragging it around everywhere like it was his real mommy 💖 – a heartwarming sight that captured the attention of animal lovers all over the world. 🧸🐵
