00:30In demigod, you choose one of these eight demigods, you build them up by buying items, and go out and
00:37battle others for control of an arena in order to gain favor points with the gods to ascend to the
00:43pantheon of the gods.
00:45So here you see the vampire lord heading over into battle, and I'm going to, uh, there you see the
00:51pin of thorns next to me.
00:53And these arenas have lots and lots of minions that you don't really have to worry about directly, though if
00:59you're a general you can summon some minions, but for the most part you don't have to directly control them.
01:05They pretty much do their own thing.
01:07Now what you see here is I'm currently giving it to Regulus, one of the other demigods who's running away.
01:13And then I'm going to come back over here and start capturing the flag.
01:17Now, soon after I've captured the flag, uh, I'm trying to, the flags give me more powers, and I'm going
01:22to take out this, uh, power.
01:27And continue building forth, uh, my, my Dominus' map in order to gain more warp points, which allow me to
01:34get better and better, uh, upgrades to my, for my team.
01:38Now here what you're about to see is I'm going to up, I've just gone up a level, so as
01:42I kill things, I go up levels.
01:44I'm going to pick a new power that lets me turn into a swarm of bats, which does damage.
01:48Your war has increased.
01:51Here, I've cast that, and now, I, everything in between me and there, it takes massive damage, which is usually
01:56enough to kill them, because, like I said, you're playing a demigod.
01:59This isn't just any old unit.
02:01This is, uh, if you played Spring Commander, you can probably imagine what it would be like to play a
02:06game where it's really about the commanders, and you're throwing the commander moves.
02:11Uh, or in Toll Nihilation, the same sort of thing there.
02:13So these are really powerful units, so obviously you don't want them to die.
02:17But if you do die, you do come back after a death penalty.
02:21So here I'm going to heal myself, because I, with a potion I bought, I'm going to go back.
02:26Back into the, the battle, once more in a breach.
02:31And what I'm trying to do here is I'm slowly working my way in to keep capturing parts of the
02:37arena for my side, while preventing them from doing the same thing.
02:41Because as I capture the arena, I get access to more powers, I get access to more units, I get
02:46more war points, and in turn, as I do battle, I gain experience, I gain gold, which I'm going to
02:52buy better and better things.
02:54Now one of the things you may notice is that I have to track on, which means the camera is
02:58tracking my demigod.
02:59This is one of the options that, uh, some players like, and I hear I'm doing, it makes it a
03:03lot easier when I'm getting control.
03:05But, uh, the camera fixates on my guy, so as I move, it automatically keeps him in the center.
03:11You don't have to play like that.
03:12You can play it like an RTS where you're zooming around the map.
03:16Now, as you can see, once you have enough war points, you can go back to your citadel and start
03:20upgrading your citadel to have new abilities.
03:22Here I can make my demigods more powerful, I can make my reinforcements more powerful, get access to better troops,
03:30uh, give my side more gold per second, which is what I'm doing here, and so on.
03:34Now you get access to these, uh, abilities by having a, uh, high war score, which you get by controlling
03:39flags, and of course you need gold, which you obtain by killing enemy creeps and reinforcements and minions and that
03:46sort of thing, and of course killing enemy demigods.
03:48Now I'm going to come back here with some of my money and buy some, uh, potions, and then I'm
03:54going to head back into battle here.
03:56Here's a teleport scroll.
03:58So what I'll do here is I can zoom out, so I use the mouse roller to do that.
04:02You can see, you can see the entire arena at once, and then I'm going to teleport to a friendly,
04:06uh, to a friendly spot.
04:08Here I am, and I can go back, and I'm going to start capturing this flag up here since the,
04:14uh, bad guys took it while I was busy upgrading my citadel.
04:18Now, over the course of the game, what happens is that each side is, over time, you start off basically
04:24even, but as you get, one side will eventually reign supreme by getting better and better units,
04:30and it's becoming more powerful as a demigod than the other side is.
