00:00The Falcons made a trade over the weekend.
00:03They acquired safety Sidney Brown in a trade with the Eagles.
00:06They also kind of swapped fourth and sixth rounders,
00:09so they moved back a little bit in both of those rounds
00:12and picked up Sidney Brown.
00:13He was going to make about a million and a half,
00:15so a depth piece of safety.
00:16About around the same price they'd pay for everybody.
00:18But I also think by doing that,
00:20they allow themselves access at another compensatory pitch next year
00:25by moving down in the draft.
00:27It's a whole lot of stuff going on with that.
00:29Ian Cunningham seems pretty dead set
00:31on trying to stack as many of those as he can.
00:33Yeah, yeah.
00:33I mean, he made a point to emphasize the fact
00:36that they only have five picks.
00:37They've never had that many picks again.
00:38So he's doing his due diligence,
00:40but also filling out this roster with a bunch of one-year deals
00:43where they can have the roster flexibility next offseason
00:46because everything right now,
00:47I'm not saying they're planting on the 26th season
00:49because they're not, but everything is pointing to 27.
00:52When they're going to have more money,
00:53they're going to have more spots.
00:54You still got to take into account
00:55where you got two eligible, contract-eligible guys
00:59who are going to require top-of-the-market type deals.
01:02One of those guys is going to look at the template
01:05with Jackson Smith and Jigba.
01:06Now, he's not going to get what Jackson Smith and Jigba got.
01:10But I sure want to see Puka Nakua's deal.
01:12Yeah.
01:13If Jackson Smith, yeah, I saw what I saw
01:15because we'll see what Puka's deal is going to be.
01:18Jackson Smith and Jigba,
01:19this is coming out just this morning, by the way.
01:20The reports indicate that his deal is worth $168.6 million.
01:25That would make him the league's highest-paid receiver.
01:28Average annual would be $42.15.
01:31They exercised the fifth-year option on him, obviously,
01:33but this is the attempt to get the long-term deal done.
01:36And yeah, now the next guy up is Puka.
01:39Now, Drake London, obviously, is up for a deal as well.
01:41It's not going to be like that.
01:42It's not going to be like that.
01:43No, it's not going to be like that,
01:45but it's going to be pricey.
01:46But it's not going to be that high.
01:47And then you look at where Bajon is coming in
01:49and everything like that.
01:50So you've got those two extensions that you're looking to do.
01:53And I do believe that both of them will get done eventually.
01:56But yeah, the Seahawks are doing some home work
01:59and everything like that.
02:00They signed their other corner, Charles Crose,
02:03to a new four-year, $100 million deal.
02:05And then he was a 2022 first-round pick.
02:08And then they still have Weatherspoon,
02:09who they also want to try to get his contract
02:11as soon as sometimes offseason.
02:13So that's when you see Walker and guys like that
02:16leaving the building because they've got to put that money somewhere else.
02:18So they wanted to just go in.
02:20And they're smart to do this, invest in their young core.
02:22Yeah, and invest in those spots.
02:24Yes, corner, receiver.
02:25Where the money's going right now.
02:26Yes.
02:27Quarterback, receiver, tackle to protect the quarterback.
02:31Obviously corner.
02:32Pass rusher.
02:32And pass rusher, yeah.
02:34And they let the Super Bowl MVP running back walk.
02:36I do – I mean, look, the Falcons are going to sign Bajon.
02:39Yes.
02:39And they should.
02:40But I do wonder if they have a conversation at all just about, like,
02:44I mean, if we're really trying to stack draft picks
02:47and we're really trying to focus on 27,
02:49maybe that's something we think about doing.
02:51It would be a – yeah, I think it would be a tough –
02:53it would be a tough decision to sell.
02:57But, I mean, when the money's all being given to certain spots,
03:00that's not one of them.
03:00No, it's not.
03:01It's not.
03:02But it's not – but he's not one of them.
03:04You know, he's not one of them.
03:05He is a one.
03:06You know, and so – you know, and it could be a situation where –
03:10because him and Jameer Gibbs are in the same situation as far as, you know,
03:13both are extension L of both in the same draft class.
03:16Do you look at whatever that number is now as far as where Christian McCaffrey
03:20and Saquon and those guys are?
03:22I also think you just look at what the Giants – like, the Giants moved Saquon
03:26and then just got dragged for it for two years.
03:29Because it's hard.
03:30And the Eagles won the Super Bowl the next year with him.
03:32Because he's – and his thing about it, yeah, he's a running back,
03:34but he was your best player.
03:35Right.
03:35Just like Dijon.
03:36Just like Dijon.
03:37Dijon's your best player, you know.
03:39And so you always take a shot when you lose your best player,
03:41especially when the best player is the focal point of everything you do offensively.
03:44Yeah.
03:44And you don't have a quarterback to kind of –
03:49Yeah.
03:49Yeah.
03:50Yeah.
03:51You're the Giants.
03:52Yeah.
03:52You're the Giants.
03:53Yeah.
03:53And just to carry on top, they videoed you doing it.
03:57Yes.
03:58And then put that video on the internet for everyone to see for two years.
04:01Yes.
04:01So every time – and then Saquon jumped over a guy backwards.
04:04Yes.
04:04Like everything that could have possibly gone wrong –
04:06Did go wrong.
04:07Went wrong for you in that situation.
04:10Oh, there was one other thing that I wanted to mention.
04:15But I lost it.
04:17So there it is.
04:18That's the NFL No Huddle.
04:19You got anything else?
04:22No.
04:22Because I think – do we mention the whole thing with Trent Williams?
04:27They don't pick up his $10 million option, but they're still trying to get a new deal for him.
04:32I remember what I was going to say.
04:33All right.
04:33Tua Tunga-Vailoa will be on the show tomorrow.
04:35Yes, he will.
04:35So we'll have – do we know it's in the –
04:3712-20.
04:3712-20.
04:37Okay.
04:38So almost 24 hours from right now we'll be telling you about Tua Tunga-Vailoa.
04:42So that'll be fun.
04:42Yes.
04:42I mean, that's one of the – as we've spent the last couple of weeks in this offseason with the
04:46Falcons.
04:48Him being signed and what happens between now and the season.
04:52Is it the biggest story?
04:54Him and Penix?
04:56Probably.
04:57Yeah.
04:57Yeah.
04:58Now, I saw some Pigeons at Penix.
04:59Well, I don't believe that.
05:00Did they say he's not playing paintball?
05:02No.
05:03Not on her Achilles.
05:05He might have been a sniper.
05:06Yeah, just post up in the tower.
05:08Yeah, sniper.
05:09Sniper.
05:10Sniper fire.
05:10Kind of – looks like his style of quarterback.
05:13Yeah.
05:14Because he's a sniper.
05:14Yeah.
05:15Kind of stand there and snipe him.
05:19I played paintball one time.
05:21That was enough.
05:22Oh, yeah.
05:22I thought I – I played plenty of times.
05:25The first time I ever played it, I thought I re-aggravated my ACL injury.
05:28Yeah, you don't want to do that.
05:29Yeah, man.
05:29Slipped down a damn hill.
05:30Yeah.
05:31Like, uh-oh.
05:32Sam Gelinas' birthday party freshman year of high school.
05:35Kelly Lewis shot me point blank in the knee.
05:37Wow.
05:38That thing's hurt, man.
05:39Didn't like it.
05:40Yeah, that was enough for me.
05:41But it's fun.
05:42It was pretty fun.
05:43Pretty fun to tell that.
05:44You get a lot of people out there playing teams and stuff like that.
05:47Yeah, paintball is fun as hell.
05:48But it's just all the other stuff that goes with the running,
05:50the wearing all the stuff, getting shot with one of them damn things.
05:52You get shot.
05:52They hurt.
05:54They just hurt.
05:54I'm not afraid to say it.
05:56Yeah, dog.
05:56Those little paintballs hurt, man.
05:57Only weighting is eÅŸ to the sides of the Chi shoes.
05:57It's all the other stuff that goes through, could be laid out.
05:57See, that's all the stuff.
