00:00This time we're exploring new Scottish waters.
00:03We have been west, we've been north, we've been east.
00:06So it's only polite that we go south.
00:10We're going swimming and beyond.
00:14To discover new pastimes, people, and places.
00:21This is like apocalypse now, but with women.
00:23As we make our way across the Scottish borders through Dumfries and Galloway
00:27and all the way to Scotland's southernmost tip.
00:30This is Scotland's forgotten corner, but not for us because we're here.
00:34We're putting the world to rights while getting very wet.
00:37Have we got down, we'll get down together.
00:39And very, very cold.
00:41I'm alive!
00:43As the temperature drops.
00:45You feel quite dizzy when it's that cold.
00:47On our eternal October swim venture.
00:50I was effervescent. I was swimming in cold champagne.
00:54It's going to be epic.
00:55Yes, team!
01:09Hippie, where are we?
01:11We're in the southern flank.
01:12It's so beautiful, you know?
01:14So beautiful.
01:15There's so many locks and registers.
01:16You've got loads of history.
01:17You've got loads of Robert the Bruce history.
01:18Robert the Bruce?
01:19Yeah.
01:20He got a bugle out and blew it.
01:22He did?
01:22He did.
01:23He blew his bugle here.
01:25And he's kept that quiet.
01:27And we're following his rallying horn blast right through Dumfries and Galloway.
01:32Woo-hoo!
01:33Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba!
01:35You cannot beat a little bit of autumnal sun.
01:37The sun's out for announcement.
01:41It's double dip day.
01:42Double dip day.
01:43Double dip day, okay?
01:44We are getting right in amongst it in the southern flank.
01:47We're off for a dip in Clattering Shaw's Reservoir.
01:50But first, we're heading to lock true.
01:54Tell me this, because I don't understand something.
01:57What's that?
01:57It's a biosphere here.
01:59Ah, Galloway's UNESCO biosphere.
02:01Please tell me that Greg Fack knows what that is.
02:03I know a little bit about a biosphere, not a whole lot.
02:05It's sort of like an area of preservation.
02:08Pretty clear Greg has no idea what a biosphere is.
02:12It's a conservation area.
02:13On a scale of one to ten, how excited are you to be entering the biosphere?
02:18Look, if it's like a sort of Logan's Run sort of structure, it's a ten.
02:24If it's just a fancy word for a bit, then I'm going to say seven.
02:28I'm in at ten here, Greg.
02:30Ten for the biosphere.
02:31Even eleven for the biosphere.
02:32Eleven for the biosphere.
02:33I'm going in.
02:34I'm going in all guns blazing.
02:38Luckily, we're not going to have to rely on Greg's biosphere knowledge,
02:41as we're meeting outdoor adventure supremo Craig
02:44and his wild swimming wife, Lindsay,
02:47who'll be able to get us up to speed with all things biospherical.
02:52We're going to be paddleboarding with them.
02:54Are we?
02:55Yes.
02:56That's fantastic.
02:56I was moaning a bit in my head about the paddleboard bit,
02:59but then I found out we were using the paddleboard
03:02to get to a secret lagoon for a swim, so then I was in.
03:05Then I had a word with myself and I came round.
03:12Len Truel, so that means we're near...
03:15Biosphere community.
03:16Welcome to the biosphere community.
03:19You shall never leave.
03:21No more going around.
03:24Lock Truel, exciting.
03:26Bruce Stone.
03:27We need to ask Craig about some of this Robert the Bruce history.
03:31He'll be bruised up.
03:32He'll be bruised up.
03:35Do you know what started to happen in this van?
03:37We're going stir crazy.
03:38Yeah.
03:39Yeah.
03:40You're going back just here?
03:41Parking just here?
03:42Yeah!
03:47Hello!
03:48Hello!
03:48You made it!
03:49How are you?
03:50Hi, Gilles, how are you doing?
03:51Lovely to meet you, Claire.
03:52No gig, lovely.
03:53Oh, nice to see you.
03:54This is beautiful.
03:56Hi-oh.
03:57We've been down for that walk this morning
03:58and it's lovely flat cam
04:00and a little lagoon for swimming.
04:02A little lagoon?
04:03Is this a secret lagoon we're going to?
04:05Secret lagoon, the way I know.
04:06Really?
04:07Because I want to ask you about the biosphere.
04:10A lot of people think a biosphere is like a national park.
04:13Yes.
04:14A national park is about regulations,
04:16about bylaws and land management.
04:18A biosphere is about collaborations,
04:21about communities coming together.
04:23It's all about climate resilience
04:24and living and working,
04:26whether you're farming, fishing, forestry,
04:29whatever land management you have here.
04:31The biosphere wraps around that with narrative
04:34and with education comes protection.
04:37People just fall in love with the area,
04:38they want to protect it.
04:39And the locals are in support of this?
04:40Oh, 100%.
04:41That's amazing.
04:42What a privilege I've got of bringing people here
04:45and showcasing the nature we have.
04:47I'm impressed he knows that.
04:48Oh, really?
04:49Are you, Lindsay?
04:51In amongst it as well,
04:52you're swimming, you're a wild swimmer.
04:54I am.
04:54I dabble in it.
04:56You know, around about work life and family life
04:58and everything.
04:58I find it really good for up here.
05:00Yes.
05:00You make a good team that way,
05:02because you're all about getting people out.
05:03I keep people on top of the water,
05:04she brings them in.
05:05I mean, there's locations on the paddle boards,
05:06but on a paddle board you can access
05:09different locations that you sometimes can't on foot.
05:13Jules, I'm afraid we're getting kitted up again.
05:15Human sausage suit time.
05:17I'm getting used to this.
05:19Come on, let's get into it.
05:21Oh, my goodness.
05:24Oh, wow.
05:25That's a painting.
05:29The key with the paddle board is don't lose your board.
05:32So as Craig runs us through the drill on land,
05:34we're kitted out with a harness.
05:36These are called a quick-release belt, all right?
05:39Sign, and that just goes round to your waist.
05:40Otherwise, the main thing is,
05:43push the board along with your paddle
05:44and try not to fall in.
05:46Rocket surgery and brain science, this is not.
05:49I feel safe, hands.
05:51Say that when you get him.
05:54All righty.
05:55Yeah.
05:56On.
05:57So, lie on your tummy.
05:58Oh, it's exciting, isn't it?
06:00I'm off, Sky.
06:02I can go to sleep.
06:04I won't.
06:04I'm loving this already.
06:06If this is all we manage, I'll have had a good time.
06:11This is beautiful.
06:13Where's this going to explore?
06:14Let's go.
06:17Warm breeze, gentle light breath, clear head.
06:21I ache for time to see.
06:24Oh, it's lovely, isn't it, Lindsay?
06:27Oh, I'm banging on to you.
06:28I'm so sorry.
06:30You couldn't have asked me better, would it?
06:33I knew it would be lovely, but this is beautiful.
06:40Now, Craig's not pressurising us to stand up.
06:43You can have loads of fun just like this,
06:45but we've got to try it.
06:47You got a happy stand?
06:49Yeah, let's try it.
06:50All fours.
06:50Get that leg underneath
06:51and then push through the heels
06:55and get ready to paddle your hand on top of it.
06:58Okay.
06:59Just push through the heels.
07:01Nice and relaxing.
07:03Doing that?
07:03And then you're just bending at the hips
07:04just to catch the water.
07:06That's you.
07:07Oh, that feels nice.
07:08Good job.
07:10Nothing more to it than that, Julie.
07:11Is that it?
07:12I don't think is that it.
07:13Yeah, Greggy.
07:15Is Greggy up?
07:17Nice and relaxed.
07:18Nice and relaxed.
07:19I don't want anybody to look at me
07:21because the minute you look at me, I'm falling in.
07:24And do you look forward, don't you?
07:26Is that better?
07:27Yeah, just keep your head up.
07:28You're like a meerkat.
07:29You're just scanning where you're going.
07:31Nice and easy.
07:31Are your legs bent?
07:33Folks, just feel what's going on.
07:35Just feel what's going on.
07:36Don't overthink it.
07:40This is unbelievable.
07:44It's definitely a sport you can overcomplicate.
07:47I'm just going to hold here,
07:49then we'll just go for a wee float.
07:50Yeah?
07:52So do you just go down on these?
07:54Well done.
07:55People can go on a three-hour lesson
07:57and still not get to a standing point.
07:59One of the things I'm quite into
08:00when I take Pio Paderborn on a tour
08:02is actually silence.
08:07Let's take a few minutes.
08:16Beautiful.
08:18This is why we do it, folks.
08:19This is why we do it.
08:25This is so lovely.
08:27I'd almost forgotten about the swim.
08:29It's going to look deep.
08:31Laguna.
08:34If you look at that cluster of trees
08:36up to the right-hand side,
08:37that is where the Battle of Truel happened in 1307.
08:40You imagine the English garrison,
08:42the 1,500 soldiers,
08:43chasing Robert the Bruce and his team
08:45around this region.
08:46So he thinks,
08:47do you know what?
08:47I'm going to bring you to the most narrowest point
08:49in all of Glen Truel.
08:51Just to be struck with granite boulders.
08:54How mad would that be?
08:58Thanks so much.
08:59I'm addicted.
09:00It's fantastic.
09:02It's so peaceful.
09:03It's like meditation on the water.
09:05All the places we can explore,
09:07if we take these and go swimming,
09:08and I didn't get carapulted off it.
09:11Right.
09:11Craig, Lindsay, Jules, let's get swimming.
09:13Let's get swimming.
09:15Look at this.
09:16Craig's skipping the swim to sort all the kit,
09:18so Lindsay's in charge.
09:20And with any wild swim,
09:21it's always best to wait
09:22for someone who knows the water
09:23before piling in.
09:25Let's watch when you...
09:26No, Greg's writing.
09:28Greg!
09:28Greg!
09:29You're setting a bad example.
09:31He's okay.
09:32He's all right.
09:33No big rocks there.
09:34Nothing stops him.
09:34That's some of the heat from the summer.
09:36That's lovely.
09:37Lindsay, he could be lying.
09:39It went deep quickly there.
09:41It's like sponge.
09:42There she goes.
09:43Beautifully done.
09:49Oh.
09:51Beautiful.
09:52Look at that view.
09:54Oh, my God.
09:56We're lucky, aren't we?
09:57This is where we live in Scotland.
10:01Scotland.
10:02And it's free.
10:16I tell you what,
10:17that's the best facial you could ever get.
10:22It's so cold in your face, isn't it?
10:26It's not too long.
10:28I've got to be careful.
10:29No, I've been too long.
10:31No, that's right.
10:31What does it you always say?
10:32Like a party leave early.
10:34French exit.
10:37That is a beautiful little lagoon, that spot.
10:40Now, Craig said he couldn't promise us the Caribbean.
10:43But it was pretty close.
10:44With that sunshine.
10:46Like, to have that entire lock to yourself feels incredible.
10:49You could cheat yourself to staying in there.
10:51You get comfortable in the water.
10:52You don't feel as cold.
10:54You start to settle into it.
10:56But that's when you want to go out.
10:58Yeah.
10:58Stay safe.
10:59It's a perfect combo.
11:01Wasn't it?
11:02Absolutely.
11:02I'm going to get one.
11:06This soup is amazing.
11:08Made by Lindsay.
11:09Butternut squash and sweet potato.
11:11It's got a wee bit of spice in it as well.
11:13It kicks like a mule.
11:14You need a wee bit of spice when you get out of that cold water.
11:17We do.
11:17This is so lovely.
11:19It was the first wild swim that we've had where we got a history lesson.
11:22I do think it's important when you bring people into an area for the first time that they go back,
11:28present and future.
11:29This has been here forever.
11:30Forever.
11:31Do you know what I mean?
11:31And it's still very untouched.
11:33We actually took the whole place to ourselves, didn't we?
11:35We did.
11:36It's so peaceful.
11:37It's magical.
11:38Unlike husband Craig, Lindsay's got a normal day job.
11:41I work for the NHS.
11:42I'm a hospital pharmacist.
11:44Through my work here, obviously, you know, can see medicines helping people.
11:48But there's also a not so great side to medicine where it can make people feel, you know, worse.
11:53Sometimes have side effects and things like that as well.
11:56And I think we really need to supplement medicines with other therapies.
11:59And, like, getting out in the outdoors and cold water swimming, that sort of thing as well.
12:05Yeah.
12:05I think it's really, really helpful.
12:09Would you believe we're going for another swim later?
12:10It doesn't surprise us.
12:13It's almost like we're addicted or something.
12:18I'm not going to have finished this.
12:19We'll just make you wait.
12:28Oh, how lovely were Craig and Lindsay.
12:31I genuinely didn't want to leave.
12:33And we've got to go inland more.
12:36Mm-hm.
12:36And we're going up to another loch.
12:38OK.
12:38But the reason we've got to get this double dip in today is we've got to meet Sarah Redman.
12:43Because everybody knows that she's the swimming queen round here.
12:47OK.
12:47She's taking us to Clattering Shaw's Lock.
12:49Is that right?
12:50Yeah.
12:50The maze is back to the wall we need.
12:55Hey, you might say as a wild swimming instructor, she's the goat around these parts.
13:01But she's not the only one.
13:03See, up here, there's a family of 80 wild goats that all live in this nature reserve.
13:08What's up there?
13:09Yeah, I've seen one on the crest of the Misty Mountain.
13:12Like Sound of Music?
13:13It looked absolutely beautiful.
13:15Do you know the song from Sound of Music?
13:16Yeah, up on a hill lived a lonely goat.
13:18I on a hill was a lonely goat her.
13:20Lee, o'ley, o'ley.
13:22Hee, hoo.
13:23I did that song in addition and guess what?
13:25I didn't get it.
13:27Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
13:29Do you know who else yodels?
13:31Who?
13:31Tarzan.
13:32Oh, stop it.
13:34Let me hear your Tarzan now.
13:35No, I'm not doing it.
13:49Oh, you practiced that.
13:56It has took a funny turn in the weather, hasn't it?
13:58Well, yeah, but it's, you know, we're at Scotland here, you know.
14:01Oh, look at the lock now.
14:02Oh, clattering shows, look at it.
14:06Clattering shows.
14:06Look at it.
14:09That dam has produced green hydropower for nearly a century.
14:13Perhaps our splashing about will add a few extra watts.
14:16This is it.
14:17It's quite easy with the mist on it.
14:19Oh.
14:20Hello.
14:22Welcome.
14:23Welcome.
14:24So excited to meet you.
14:25I'll be along.
14:26Sarah's brought a couple of wild swimming pals, Brian and Lynn, along for the dip.
14:31Right.
14:32It took a wee turn in the weather a little bit.
14:33It's not great, is it?
14:35But the water is looking fab.
14:37I mean, look.
14:37It's like glass, isn't it?
14:39Oh, it's just amazing.
14:40And it's kind of a terminal and a bit spooky, which I'm loving.
14:42He loves all that.
14:43Yes.
14:44My favourite horror film is The Fog, and it's today.
14:47Oh, no, no, no.
14:48Yeah.
14:48No, no, we don't want none of that.
14:50So, Sarah, what made you set up your company, Spindle Locks?
14:53I've got loads and loads of little locks around, and everybody wanted to come swimming, so
14:59it just snowballed from there.
15:01When I moved up from England, I thought, oh, I'll get right into it while swimming.
15:05That's all.
15:05It'd be great for mental health and prostate cancer recovery and stuff.
15:09Oh, great.
15:10And I saw your post on Facebook.
15:12There was ice on the side of the lock when I took him, so he was pretty brave.
15:16And then just went from there, didn't we?
15:18Yeah, and I just got on with it.
15:19I just want to show people how to do it safely.
15:22Tell us what we should be watching out for in this reservoir, because we've never swam in
15:25a reservoir yet.
15:25We haven't.
15:26You need to stay away from the dam.
15:28Right.
15:28People think it's going to suck you down.
15:30It's not going to suck you down.
15:32We're at least one third away from that.
15:35Really, it's just like swimming anywhere else.
15:37Lead on.
15:47Well, it's just the spot now, Sarah.
15:50Greg's off to see the view.
15:51What's it like, Greg?
15:52Oh, it's so beautiful.
15:53It's like glass.
15:54I always say, as you get in, there are three spots on your body that make you go, oh, it's
15:59your bits, your tits, and your pits.
16:03It's not a race.
16:04It's not a competition.
16:05It doesn't matter who gets in first, who gets out first.
16:12I don't want to go in first.
16:14It's too cold.
16:16Ah!
16:17Man, still hold my hand.
16:18If we go down, we'll go down the gibber, right?
16:21She's going, land off.
16:22Woo!
16:23But once you're in, you're in.
16:25Come on.
16:26All right.
16:27Woo!
16:27There you go.
16:29I'll be.
16:30Woo!
16:30Hits.
16:31Hits.
16:32Hits.
16:34Look at which she's all smiling now.
16:42How did you guys meet to be swimming together like this?
16:45I and my fiancé are carers, and we looked after Lynn's husband, who was quite ill.
16:51Sadly, Andy died last year.
16:53Oh, Lynn, I'm so sorry.
16:54I was already swimming.
16:56I just kept going on and...
16:58Oh, how lovely.
17:00And what would Andy think about you doing this, Lynn?
17:02Oh, I wouldn't have liked to see it.
17:09So you're an advocate for prostate cancer.
17:12Do you mind telling us about that?
17:13When I got diagnosed with prostate cancer, once I'd had the operation, which is ten years
17:17tomorrow, the prostate cancer UK helped me, so I started to contact them, and they just
17:22brought me down to London, and they ended up doing a lot of media, and then I wrote some
17:26self-help guides, which they use online, about how to deal with incontinence, impotence,
17:32and fatigue.
17:34Where are you now in the journey?
17:35So I was three years in remission.
17:37Yeah.
17:38Then seven years ago, I came out, and then last week I got a call.
17:42It's getting bigger.
17:44Okay.
17:44So, scans again, and then they'll decide whether to go for radiotherapy.
17:50Right.
17:50If I want it.
17:51Right.
17:52And have you met anybody on your journey that's also been through prostate cancer that does
17:58the dickening and stuff like that?
17:59None, because ultimately not a lot of men swim.
18:02I always said when I came out of the operation, if it is not criminal, I'm going to do it.
18:08There you go.
18:09That's a hoodie for Christmas, isn't it?
18:11If it's not criminal, I'll do it.
18:13Yeah.
18:13So that's why I thought, when I'm here, I'm doing it.
18:20This is absolutely beautiful, this water.
18:26Very serene.
18:27Like glass today.
18:29I feel as if we've disturbed the calmness of the water.
18:47What does this area mean to you guys, and how do you think it compares to the rest of Scotland
18:50for swimming?
18:51This is the best area for swimming.
18:53We've got the locks, we've got the rivers, we've got the sea.
18:56Yeah, we don't have such dramatic mountains, but we've got these beautiful, quiet areas.
19:04And bringing people to them and sharing them, it's just magical.
19:08Not too many people, though.
19:12If you want to get into outdoor swimming, the best thing to do is to find a qualified, insured,
19:19experienced person to take you out for a one-to-one to give you the information that you need.
19:26There's a lot of misinformation out there.
19:29Go on the Swim Teachers Association website.
19:32Look you up.
19:33Yeah, just Google it.
19:35Thank you very much for coming to our wonderful corner of South West Scotland.
19:40Are you busy tomorrow?
19:42No, don't think we are.
19:43How do you fancy dips and chips in Girvan?
19:48Actual chips.
19:49Actual, real chips.
19:50A little bit out of the catchment area, but...
19:52We'll make an exception.
19:53Yeah.
19:54I think everyone would understand it's for the sake of the chips.
19:57We'll be there.
19:57Oh, well, you're getting another swimmer.
20:00Let's do it for the chips.
20:01Thank you for inviting us.
20:03Thank you so much.
20:04It's been wonderful.
20:09Well, there goes our day off, Greg.
20:12Greg, where's Jules?
20:13And what have you done with my gal?
20:15She'd never not want to swim.
20:17Listen, with chips involved, I'm in.
20:20Chips, huh?
20:22This area is known for a lot of stuff, but it's also known for its phenomenally dark skies.
20:27Some of the darkest skies throughout the United Kingdom are right here in Dumfries and Galli.
20:31It's an excellent place for stargazing.
20:34Greg, this is the perfect point to tell you where you're staying tonight.
20:38We're staying in a yard.
20:40Okay.
20:40I can see controlling yourself there.
20:43The fact that we're out in this environment, that's the perfect place to stay tonight.
20:50All that chat about dark skies, though, does depend on clear skies.
20:55Which we certainly don't have this evening.
20:57Yeah, I can barely see 100 metres, let alone 100 light-years.
21:00And I'm blinking freezing.
21:02Right, let's yert it up and have a look later.
21:05I am so excited to be in here.
21:08I feel like I'm at Glastonbury at the last, presenting in between the bands.
21:12It's just got that feel about it, and it's roasting in here.
21:15Proper autumn cosiness.
21:18Brian was brilliant, wasn't he?
21:20The fact that he was talking about his cancers came back and stuff, and he was so upbeat about it.
21:25I think that's a real inspiration.
21:27People don't want to feel like they're a victim or I am now a cancer survivor and that's all I
21:31am.
21:32It's, they just want people to treat them exactly the same.
21:36When we first started this journey, I was really worried cos I was like,
21:39what if we're saying the wrong thing?
21:41And of course, the most important thing is to listen and to learn.
21:44And we've learned so much.
21:46The people we've met have been amazing.
21:48I just love it so much.
21:49I feel so passionate about it, I really do.
21:55We're going back to meet Brian and Lynn.
21:57Yeah.
21:57And Sarah as well.
21:58Chips and dip.
21:59Chips and dip.
22:00I can't wait to get to Gervan.
22:02To Gervan.
22:03To Gervan.
22:05You don't hear that every day and you should never be hearing it more.
22:08Gervan.
22:09Come on, Greg.
22:10Let's have a quick keek at those famous dark skies before bed.
22:15I think it's maybe too misty, is it?
22:18It's so misty we've missed it.
22:25No time to hang about this morning, Hempy.
22:29Gervan awaits.
22:32It's time for a rogue side quest to touch the west coast of Ayrshire before heading back south.
22:40We're going off course.
22:41I'm not one to turn down a portion of chips if it's connected to a swim.
22:47Hey, listen, Brian's a trooper, eh?
22:50A lot of guys still, still don't talk about frosty and cancer.
22:55But you have to be brave and you have to go and, you know, get yourself checked.
22:59A lot of guys let these things go and it comes back to bite them.
23:04Oh, Greg, look!
23:05There's the Elsa Craig.
23:06Elsa Craig.
23:07This is us west now.
23:08How do you feel about that, being by the coast?
23:13We've made it to the coast.
23:15Leave nothing but your footprints on the beach.
23:19That's going to do us, yeah.
23:20Well, let's go have a wee nosy.
23:21Come on.
23:23Can you see them?
23:24Where are they?
23:24I don't know.
23:31Tenty.
23:32There's millions of them.
23:34Hi!
23:41Hi, Sarah, how are you?
23:42Welcome to Dips and Chips, guys.
23:45Hello again.
23:45How are you doing?
23:47Is this always how many there is of you?
23:49Is this what happens when chips get mentioned?
23:54Yeah, are you all ready?
23:55I am.
23:56Come on, you just need to be.
23:57Let's do it.
23:58Woo-hoo!
24:01How long are you staying for this time of year, girls?
24:04Between 20 and 30 minutes is not a half because, sadly, when the 30 minutes come, I go, aw.
24:11That's amazing, mate.
24:1330 minutes?
24:13I'll ask about eight minutes.
24:15There's nothing serious about it.
24:17It's like, come down, we've got half an hour, do what you want, and then we'll go for food.
24:21I love it.
24:21Oh, I love this.
24:22And that's the best part.
24:23Okay, great.
24:24No pressure, no expectation.
24:26Will we do this?
24:27Yeah.
24:28Okay.
24:31Let's do this, thank you.
24:32Oh, it's actually lovely.
24:42Why do you do it?
24:43I just get some of my mental health in, mate.
24:45Just life-bearable.
24:47You've got amazing Ian with you, who's been very brave.
24:50How do you feel?
24:51That's so great.
24:52I do enjoy it.
24:53I'm just no one for gone weakly.
24:55I love it.
24:56Love it.
24:57I love it.
24:57Yes.
24:58You just feel so lovely and fresh and invigorated.
25:02It's fun.
25:02It's mad.
25:03And that could be, like, continues for ages after you come out.
25:07Yeah.
25:07I can't believe we're in October, we're in swimsuits, we're in Scotland, we're in Girvan, and we're on a beach.
25:15And you feel great.
25:18Who would have thought?
25:19Mum and daughter.
25:20So who was doing it first?
25:21She was doing it first.
25:23And do you like some of me and Mum?
25:24Yeah.
25:25Can you two work together?
25:26Yeah.
25:27My mad idea first, and then I've been bragged to come along with me.
25:32Oh, wow.
25:33And we know why I do it, because I bloody know.
25:40I'm just going to hang here for a second and let those three exit first, so I'm not the first
25:44out.
25:45Because I'll tell you something, that's a hardy bunch of women.
25:49They're out there singing.
25:50There's about 25 of them, they're having the time of their life, and it doesn't look like they're coming in
25:55any time soon.
26:01Brian, save that!
26:09Yes, Brian!
26:11Thank you!
26:13We're all heading in for our chips, how let's go first?
26:17Chips and a cup of tea.
26:19Awesome.
26:19That's a laugh.
26:20Good.
26:21I love cold water.
26:23I do.
26:24So good for you.
26:25That was just lovely.
26:26The water's beautiful.
26:27Well, that was amazing.
26:29I really hope some of them have stuck around for the chips.
26:31This is it.
26:37Nobody's going to miss the chips, Greg.
26:40Oh, my hair's so cozy.
26:43And Brian's got an extra treat for us.
26:46Oh, wow.
26:48I thought, I've made a cake about ten years ago today.
26:51I've just had my prostate and cancer removed.
26:54So why not?
26:55Oh, you're natural.
26:59Surgery delayed Brian's cancer by years, but despite it returning, he's keeping positive.
27:06So who asked who to get married?
27:08On the beach.
27:09And I'm always looking for things on the beach.
27:11And he's like, what have you done this time?
27:12You heard the ring.
27:14And he started to cry.
27:15When he's going to get married?
27:17That's up, Dan.
27:19Let's do it now!
27:25That was the best.
27:26It set us up well for the next bit of our journey.
27:29To the southernmost tip of Scotland.
27:31The journey continues.
27:32To the southernmost tip of Scotland.
