00:00Iran's foreign ministry says you're not telling the truth when it comes to productive conversations to end the war.
00:05Well, they're going to have to get themselves better public relations, people.
00:09We have had very, very strong talks. We'll see where they lead.
00:14We have major points of agreement. I would say almost all points of agreement.
00:20Perhaps that hasn't been conveyed. The communication, as you know, has been blown to pieces.
00:24They're unable to talk to each other.
00:26But we've had very strong talks. Mr. Whitcoff and Mr. Kushner had them.
00:32They went, I would say, perfectly.
00:36I would say that if they carry through with that, it'll end that problem, that conflict.
00:43And I think it'll end it very, very substantially.
00:46We have very much in mind our partners in the Middle East.
00:50We've had great relationships with a lot of them, as you know.
00:53A lot of them were surprisingly hit, and I was surprised to see it, and so was everyone else.
00:59But we have, they're very much in mind in the discussions.
01:04So the discussions took place yesterday.
01:06They went into yesterday evening.
01:10They want very much to make a deal.
01:12We'd like to make a deal, too.
01:14We're going to get together today by probably phone, because it's very hard to find a country.
01:23It's very hard for them to get out, I guess.
01:25But we'll, at some point, very soon meet.
01:28We're doing a five-day period.
01:30We'll see how that goes.
01:32And if it goes well, we're going to end up with settling this.
01:35Otherwise, we'll just keep bombing our little hearts out.
01:37Who is Steve Wyckoff speaking with, Mr. President?
01:40Who are you speaking with in Iran?
01:41A top person.
01:43Don't forget.
01:44We've wiped out the leadership phase one, phase two, and largely phase three.
01:49But we're dealing with the man who I believe is the most respected and the leader.
01:55You know, it's a little tough.
01:57They've wiped out, we've wiped out everybody.
01:59Is that the supreme leader?
02:01No, not the supreme leader.
02:02We don't, well, nobody's ever, nobody heard of the second supreme leader, the son.
02:07Are these direct calls?
02:08Nobody, we have not heard from the son.
02:11Every once in a while, you'll see a statement made, but we haven't.
02:13We don't know if he's living.
02:15But the people that seem to be running it, and they seem that based on, really, fact,
02:21because things they've said have taken place.
02:24Mr. President, I can't.
02:26Mr. President, I know you've deployed.
02:27Because I don't want him to be killed.
02:30Okay?
02:31I don't want him to be killed.
02:32Mr. President, you've deployed him.
02:34Nobody wants to be that.
02:35Nobody wants that job right now, you know?
02:37Nobody's exactly looking forward to being the head of that particular country,
02:41but perhaps we'll be able to solve that problem.
