00:08So one of the big things for us with DJ2
00:10was we wanted it to be more than just a game
00:12you know, it had to be about
00:13inspiring a party in your living room, playing together
00:16and enjoying the music
00:18Multiplayer in 2 is vast
00:21There are six new modes
00:23Partyplay, Streak, DJ Battle
00:25Straight Up Head to Head, Check Point Challenge
00:27and Accumulator. Partyplay is awesome
00:29We wanted it to be about people being able to
00:31jump in and jump out whenever they wanted
00:32so you can set the setlist up and it will just be playing away
00:35in the background and I'm gonna come up and I wanna
00:37play this track, so I'll jump in
00:39then my buddy's gonna come along and he'll jump in as a DJ
00:41so now we've got two DJs playing
00:43somebody else is gonna come along and they're gonna
00:45wanna sing the vocals, I wanna go get a drink
00:47so I'm gonna drop out, music's still playing
00:49seamlessly, party's still going
00:51everyone's having fun
00:54Streak is about banking your note streak
00:56if you drop your note streak you've got no points
00:58you gotta build it up again, you're setting the bar
01:00for the other guy to beat. We have
01:01straight up head to head, so you're playing the same mix
01:04together, except this time you know you can
01:06drop a vocalist over the top, the vocalist
01:08is scored as well. Having someone on vocals
01:10changes the whole dynamic in a room
01:11especially like halfway through where they're about to sing
01:14something, you hit a freestyle section and then you scratch it
01:16and really screw them up, that's quite funny
01:18If you hit a freestyle section whoever gets
01:20to it first wins it, so if we're playing head to
01:22head and I get to it first then you just gotta watch
01:24while I freestyle it. If you hit rewind
01:26in multiplayer mode I lock you out
01:27so I'll rewind and I'll get to play that section
01:30and score the points again but you've got to stand around
01:31looking like it whilst I get
01:34through it and you catch up
01:36So checkpoint, what we've done here is
01:38instead of it being about your final end
01:40score, it's about winning checkpoints
01:42makes it really interesting
01:44In accumulator, instead of just banking the
01:46one highest, you're adding to your previous
01:48bank. DJ Battle
01:50So this is about backwards and forwards
01:52it's me doing something, you doing something
01:54it's like call and answer. This mode is totally
01:56in there for the scratch DJs
01:58the music heads are gonna love it
01:59and it's the closest thing we can do to a real old school DJ battle
02:03DJ 2, the bar has just gone up again
02:05there is something in there for everyone
02:07The music is so good
02:08the gameplay is so much fun
02:09it just inspires people to want to get up and play it
02:12and it's a real good lead up to a night out
