00:55Aliens go in and pull out all of the people.
00:57So when we were designing Prey 2
01:00and we had this new main character,
01:02this bounty hunter
01:04on this distant planet known as Exodus,
01:06we wanted to tell a little bit of his origin story
01:08as to how he became a bounty hunter.
01:11So we batted around a bunch of different ideas
01:14and one of the things that really resonated with us
01:16was this idea that he was on that airplane
01:18because that was a really memorable moment from Prey 1.
01:21So we're like, well, that fits perfectly.
01:22We can have Killian on this airplane as an air marshal
01:25You can see he's got his gun here
01:27and the cameraman, Charlie, is kind of investigating
01:30and checking out what's going on
01:32before things start going funny.
01:34And we knew we had this really cool crash
01:35so this is a really cool opportunity to show the crash
01:39obviously from the point of view of someone who was on that plane
01:41and show kind of the sheer terror and horror
01:43that kind of resonates with what was happening in Prey 1
01:45and at the beginning of Prey 2.
01:47This also starts showing Killian himself.
01:50He stands up and he starts trying to protect the people
01:52when you get a little bit of a vibe of who our new main character is.
01:56So the other thing is this gives us an opportunity
01:57to show some of the other connections of the hunters.
02:00Now, some of you who played Prey 1
02:02you'll remember the hunter who is one of the main bad guys you fight.
02:05So there's a hunter that portals onto the airplane
02:07and starts attacking the people
02:08and obviously starts causing some serious chaos and havoc.
02:14Coming up here you get a brief glimpse of the hunter itself.
02:17the hunter head as the thing in its last death grows there
02:21before everything really kind of goes to hell
02:23and goes completely insane and crazy.
02:27And like I said, this really ties into
02:29the connection from Prey 1 to Prey 2
02:31because this is the part where they're grabbing the entire ship
02:33they're pulling the entire ship up to their spherical mothership
02:36which is where they'd go in and grab all the people
02:38and get a really cool glimpse of the sphere for a moment here
02:40that's in orbit around the earth
02:42and clearly there's some madness here as it's invading the earth.
02:50So then when we were revealing the game at E3
02:53we wanted to put together another trailer
02:55that told more of the story of what happens to Killian
02:58after this intro part
02:59after the plane abduction
03:00and after he finds himself on the sphere.
03:03So we talk a little bit more about
03:04kind of how Killian gets off the sphere
03:06because he gets off the sphere in a very different way than Tommy.
03:08If you played Prey 1 you know Tommy blows up the entire sphere
03:11there's a spoiler, sorry.
03:12So at the beginning here Killian wakes up
03:14he's on the sphere
03:15doesn't realize that he's on a distant planet
03:18or he's on this planet orbiting around the earth
03:20and sees the plane crash and looks up
03:22sees the earth is there
03:23he's kind of freaking out
03:25BAM!
03:26Killian's knocked out.
03:27So you see Killian wakes up on this distant planet
03:29known as Exodus
03:30and establishes himself as a bounty hunter.
03:32We'll talk a little bit more about that
03:34but you're going to have to watch the next part
