00:11There are some places
00:11in our media landscape that are so special,
00:15so identifiable,
00:16that we know just what
00:18kind of excellence to expect.
00:24Destinations full of
00:25engagement, excitement and learning,
00:27crafted through decades of experience
00:29and thousands of hours of
00:31delight. We're so
00:33fortunate to partner with two of the best
00:35names in family entertainment, Sesame
00:37Street
00:39and National Geographic.
00:42By using Connect,
00:43we're engaging interactively in those experiences
00:45in a way that's never been done before.
00:50Over the course
00:51of many years, Sesame Street has looked
00:53to gaming platforms to deliver our content.
00:55For us, the biggest challenge for preschoolers
00:57has been the user interface.
00:59And the Connect platform is really
01:01revolutionary in that it takes away
01:03that console controller that preschoolers
01:05have such difficulty navigating.
01:07In addition, the Connect platform offers
01:09the opportunity for the child to really feel
01:11seamlessly a part of the educational
01:13experience and to be a participant in it
01:15as opposed to just a passive viewer.
01:17Sesame Street Connect is about reinventing children's
01:19television and using
01:21the magic of Connect to make the child
01:23a part of the show.
01:25One of the ways kids learn primarily is through play.
01:27So we take things like running,
01:29jumping, hopping, throwing and we transform
01:32those things into fun and immersive
01:33educational experiences for kids.
01:35Giving the child gestures that they can do
01:38that change the format of what's happening
01:39on the program as they watch it in real time.
01:42Whenever you see the triangle.
01:44Getting a child up and off the couch
01:45and an active participant in the educational
01:48experience just naturally leads
01:50to deeper engagement.
01:51They're attuned, aware and focused
01:53on the educational content that we're trying to deliver.
01:56Not only are we using the characters
01:58that you love, but we're also doing
02:00something that really is designed
02:02from the ground up using Sesame Street's
02:05expertise to better educate that child
02:06and better prepare them for preschool.
02:13This is absolutely incredible.
02:15Just below me there's 14 grizzly bears.
02:18Kids are digital natives
02:19and we have to reach them five minutes
02:22from now where they are going to be
02:24and the only way to do that is to be
02:25completely super interactive
02:27and engage them on every level possible.
02:31A grizzly can eat up to 40,000 moths in one day.
02:34There's a lot of different variations
02:36of interactivity out there, but this is the first time
02:38I've seen people taking a television experience
02:40and making it very game-like.
02:42They're up on their feet, they're moving,
02:44and they're learning, and they're getting excited.
02:46That's something I've never seen before.
02:47It makes it so that all the fun isn't had
02:49between the player's eyeballs and the television screen.
02:51It's what's happening in the living room.
02:53We really believe that Xbox can be what kids come home
02:56and turn on to have this interactive experience as a family.
02:58We look for fun and excitement
03:00through our information, our content, the way we present it.
03:02and games add another layer that just amp it up.
03:04It's a way to really get excited about our world.
03:07When you excite kids about their world,
03:10they become stewards of the planet.
03:12They then care about the planet.
03:14The whole point is to make them excited about their world
03:17and take ownership over it.
03:19This is the first time we're taking our show
03:22and laying on top of the interactive experience
03:24in a way that I'm not sure anybody else has done yet,
03:26and it's really exciting.
03:27We can bring an enormous amount of that fun emotion
03:30to an already extremely powerful brand and content thread
03:34so that people can have a fun, engaging experience
03:37with content that really means something.
03:39We trust Xbox to deliver cutting-edge, fantastic game experience.
03:45And parents and families can trust National Geographic
03:48to bring credibility, authority, and excitement about the real world.
03:53And these two things together provide a super rich experience
03:57that nobody else is able to do.
04:00With Sesame Street, we're taking the real television show,
04:04the show that has been beloved for 40 years,
04:06and we're taking all those moments that were originally intended to be interactive,
04:10and with Connect, we're making that work.
04:12Connect Platform really affords us the opportunity
04:15to have a truly interactive experience with the content.
04:18The beauty of the Connect Platform is that kids can finally walk down Sesame Street.
04:23Oh boy, oh boy, that was so much fun.
04:27Elmo's so happy you came to visit.
