00:12it away, John.
00:13Hey guys, so universe mode is just sick this year. We've got a bunch of new features in there. Even
00:18mystery opponents like you'll see here, you never know who you're going to face sometimes.
00:22You know, we've brought in a bunch of new cool features we're going to be going over from Momentum Systems
00:26to creating your own show and some of the presentation elements, the titles, all kinds of cool stuff.
00:33This is a nice little screen. Last year you could see your rankings for your major champions, who has all
00:39the belts, and this year we kind of broke down that major title holder.
00:43and you can see all the guys that are listed in there, all the superstars. It's almost like a Power
00:4625 on www.com, which is, you know, everybody wants to see how all the superstars rank out.
00:51Absolutely.
00:53Then we've got, like I mentioned, the Momentum System. You'll see that over on the right there, this little indicator.
00:58As you win or lose matches with your superstars, they're going to gain or lose momentum, and that's going to
01:03impact their attributes.
01:04Maybe a little bit later you'll see like a plus one or a plus five next to an attribute, showing
01:09how they've changed.
01:10And again, that can all contribute to the high-level aspect of the universe, which is allowing the viewer, the
01:15user, the player, excuse me, to create their own storylines, their allies, their enemies.
01:20And that's what you're kind of seeing here as we're going through the menu screens, you're taking us through the
01:24setup.
01:25Here's a really cool new feature that you guys have added, more team announced names.
01:28Yeah, this is the first time I think we've done this, where you can create your own team and then
01:32put in one of our team announced names.
01:34We're going to count it on you guys to slow it down, go step by step to see where my
01:3770 team names are.
01:39I saw Team Scrooge in there. That one fits me well.
01:43And then here we're creating our roster. We've got logos. You can use your paint tool to make your own
01:48logo up, put on whatever superstars and divas you want into your brand.
01:51Cool. And of course, once you set up your universe, now it's all about creating and executing on those storylines
01:57and letting the game start to determine how your universe is going to play out.
02:00And here we are jumping right into Raw.
02:03And of course, what's cool about this is you guys have added the authentic TV style presentation with that glorious
02:08Nickelback song that we love hearing every Monday night.
02:11And I think as we're going to see here, Screamin' Pyro.

02:14It's going to seamlessly jump right into that first match on the cards.
02:18Let's see who comes out of the gate.
02:20What we saw was Triple H vs. The Miz.
02:22Oh, well, excuse me.
02:23We already killed the anticipation with that.

02:43So, I mean, you talked about the storylines.
02:44That's what we're going to check out here.
02:46Last year with Universe Mode, we had a bunch of cut scenes that would play kind of different times.
02:51You didn't know what was coming.
02:52One of the little knocks on it was that you would see the same cut scene back-to-back a
02:57lot.
02:57You know, the guy with the ticket you'd see maybe too often.
03:00So, we tuned that a lot this year.
03:01You're going to see those cut scenes, but they're much more spread apart.
03:05There's logic.

03:29Yeah, well, I had a little trick up my sleeve.
03:31I called in this guy just to make sure that if I lost, I'd have something to kick your ass

03:36And, of course, it is the legend killer.
03:38It is Brock Lesnar back in W12 since Here Comes the Pain.
03:42The baddest dude on the planet.
03:44The baddest dude on the planet, the man who wants to take on that man who will go unnamed at
03:49WrestleMania 28.
03:51Who knows?
03:52We won't make any conjectures.
03:53But it looks like Brock has it out for someone else right now.
03:57Brock has invaded WWE.
03:59It's on.
04:00So now we've got this Today's Remarkable Match.
04:02You see Miz and the Brock have, the Brock, Miz and the Brock Lesnar have started a storyline.
04:09That's whenever you see those Today's Remarkable Matches.
04:12So we'll jump into this one and see how the storyline plays out.
04:14This is actually next week in our story.

04:16So we played the first Raw, now we've jumped ahead to next week.
04:20Oh, and Randy Orton, cover boy.
04:22You just never know what's going to happen.

04:26Again, and you know, as you're playing these matches in W12 universe mode, you never know when these cutscenes are
04:31going to happen, when someone might invade.
04:33Anything can happen based on who your enemies and allies are, who your rivals are, what your momentum is, what
04:38your roster is like, what brand it is.
04:40I mean, there's so many different factors that go into this mode.
04:43The user can play this mode 365 days a year and they may never have the same experience twice.
04:48Yeah, I mean, you start off, maybe you want to see Zack Ryder get tanked in matches.
04:54I don't want to see that.
04:54Job now, but then you can take him and his overall, I think, is a 70.
04:58Oh, F5.
04:59His overall starts at around a 75 and when you're losing matches, it'll plunge.
05:04And then when you start winning matches, it starts going up and you can make him a 90 overall just
05:08by your success and how you dictate your universe.
05:12That's awesome.
05:12And it all just goes back to just playing the game.
05:15Just playing the game.
05:15You don't have to do anything other than playing the game.
05:17What's Orton doing here?
05:19He's got Lesnar in his sights.
05:21He wants a little revenge.

05:26Well, maybe Brock will have a different opponent he wants to take on in the future.
05:30So, you know, we're not going to show you the rest of that storyline, but there's the momentum.
05:33You'll see that plus one.
05:34And his rivals now with The Miz and Randy Orton.

05:37We've got a relationship going with them and they're going to be interfering in his matches and be fighting against
05:41them.
05:41All kinds of cool stuff.
05:42So here we are with a really cool new feature that you guys brought into WWE 12, and I like
05:46to call it Vince McMahon's favorite day of the year.
05:48And that is the draft mode.
05:50So tell us a little bit about what we're seeing here.
05:51I have no idea why it's Mr. McMahon's favorite day of the year.
05:53I'm just calling it.
05:55Yeah, so the draft comes in after WrestleMania.
05:58You can turn it on or off when you're setting up the shows.
06:02But, you know, the WWE draft, it's the first time that it's followed what WWE does now, where you have
06:08Kane's on SmackDown, I believe, and Big Show's on Raw.
06:11So they're fighting against each other.
06:12And whoever wins this match is going to steal a random superstar from one brand to the other.
06:17Youse doesn't pick it.
06:18The game kind of just randomly grabs somebody.
06:20Again, you never know what's going to happen.
06:22Oh, but it looks like Kane's going to be getting the guy.
06:24Speaking of never know what's going to happen, I don't know if you'll ever see Kane chokeslam the Big Show.
06:28If anybody could chokeslam Big Show, it is Kane.
06:32But it can happen in WWE 12, and damn it, fans, you guys should enjoy that.
06:39Yeah, so, you know, the draft is going on.
06:42There's some other events, like, you know, you can win the Royal Rumble, and you'll, after Elimination Chamber, have the
06:50Royal Rumble winner pick which superstar he wants to go after.
06:53He can go after the major champion from Raw or SmackDown.
06:57It's your pick.
06:58That's awesome.
06:59You'll do that through gameplay.
07:00And, again, it just, I keep, I'm reiterating, but it all goes back to creating your universe in WWE 12.
07:05That's what Universe Mode is all about.
07:07That's right.
07:07And we're about to see who is going to get drafted to SmackDown.
07:11So we do this little presentation when the draft's being selected, and they're cycling through the deck, kind of like
07:17you'd see on WWE programming.

07:23Welcome to SmackDown.
07:24Maybe he'll get his mojo back in WWE 12.
07:26On SmackDown.
07:28That's all he needs.
07:29He did get a little bit of it back on Raw recently, so I am happy for him.

07:33I mean, he's a great athlete in the ring.
07:35And the parkour master.

07:38One of my favorite wrestling styles.
07:41And it's great to see him.
07:43It's my wife's favorite superstar.

07:59You create your storyline.
08:00You draft.
08:01And now we get to the heart of one of the coolest modes in the game, which is creating your
08:04show.
08:04Tell us a little about that.
08:05Yeah, so you can swap out the shows that are, you know, you're Raw and SmackDown and Superstars.
08:10With those, they kind of keep their same logic.
08:12So, you know, like Superstars are still going to behave like Superstars.
08:15It doesn't have its titles.
08:16But Raw and SmackDown, they've got their champions.
08:19Here we're creating Nitro.
08:20We're bringing it back.
08:21We've got a big Nitro WCW presence in the game this year.
08:25Thanks to Road to WrestleMania.
08:28But so we can pick our different champions.
08:30We can separate the belts.
08:31So they start off and you've got a unified tag champion, unified diva champion.
08:36We're going to separate them so that Raw and, or I'm sorry, Nitro and SmackDown are going to have their
08:41own champion.
08:43And you guys have added the matchup screens as well.
08:45That's right.
08:46And then that's also where you can bring in a new created arena.
08:49And speaking of arenas, this is the Nitro opening pyro, which just looks sick.
08:55I think I said it one time off camera, but I personally would love to see Nitro back on TV
09:01after playing it in the game here.
09:02I think some people would object to that.
09:04Yeah.
09:04So this is actually our user interference.
09:07Arn and William Regal are the CPU guys.
