Sei minuti di gameplay per Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.
Trascrizione
00:01All right, we're looking at Resident Evil Operation Rapidoon City. I am playing as Bertha, who is the German Medic,
00:08and her special ability is that she can, one of these, that she can, she can, she can inject herself,
00:15let's see if I can do this, and it gives her some special ability, she can kind of run around
00:20faster, reload faster.
00:22Here, my goal here is to take out all the spec-ups, let's see if I can do that, with
00:32Bertha.
00:35Oh, I just blinded myself. Damn it, Bertha.
00:45And this is Operation Raccoon City, running on a PlayStation 3. This is the E3 build, Vern, so you played
00:50this already, right?
00:51Yeah, I played this using a different character who is a little, uh-oh, what do we have here? Is
00:57this a cutscene?
01:00Uh-oh, this doesn't look good. I have a feeling that things are about to get hairy.
01:06So, uh, yeah, the version I played in E3, it's the same build, but I played a different character who
01:12had a scoped-out rifle, which made things a little complicated.
01:17Okay, I now have to find safety, which is pretty much what I do in every game, so I'm gonna
01:24see if I can get out of here and find safety.
01:27Let's see if I can take my drugs.
01:31Whoa! No!
01:33Run!
01:35Zombies are after me!
01:37And we should make it clear that usually, well, when the game comes out, the intention is that, what, up
01:42to four people can get together and play this together, right?
01:45Only online, though.
01:46Only online, but here, here you're playing as a single player with bots that are allied with you.
01:54Yeah, it's my allied bots.
01:55I don't see them helping you at all.
01:56No, they're laughing, as do those players.
02:00No!
02:01Okay, I'm dead.
02:03How do you know?
02:04I'm not sure.
02:05I, it's a, it's a gut instinct.
02:08Um, you can respawn straight into the area where you died.
02:14You will notice that the German medic wears a leather skirt.
02:20It looks like it's leather.
02:21When she's taking over something, I'm not sure why.
02:25Leather seems to be the, the theme of all the characters.
02:32So, Brian, the original Resident Evils were really slow-paced, and then, like, RE4 and RE5 were kind of more
02:38action games, but this, I would say, is, like, one of the fastest-paced Resident Evil games, right?
02:44I mean, does it feel that way to you?
02:45It feels like a shooter.
02:46I mean, it's got a nice, uh, slick control, so you can move and shoot at the same time.
02:52I can zoom in if I need to.
02:54No down, no down the, uh, the barrel aiming, but that's fine.
02:59I mean, the aiming's pretty intuitive.
03:03Uh, let's see if I can find the rest of these guys.
03:07Do you feel any sense of horror?
03:09No, not at all.
03:10I'm not scared either.
03:12He's not shaking, folks.
03:13Now, look.
03:14No, I'm not shaking.
03:14This camera may be shaking because I'm scared.
03:17Or because of how bad I am.
03:19Yeah.
03:20Rag grenade.
03:22So now, let's see if I can, uh, you know, one of the things I complained about when I wrote
03:27about this, uh, when I played it at E3,
03:31is that I had a little trouble figuring out what the heck I was supposed to be doing and where
03:34I was supposed to be going.
03:35As you can see, I'm going to run around here.
03:37This is a pretty big map.
03:38There's a lot of places to explore.
03:41And it's easy, if you miss a message, to not know what you're supposed to do.
03:45I came in over here through this garage, way over here, right through here, and was kind of opened up
03:52into this room where I was told to kill off all these other armed people.
03:55Um, now you'll notice that there's a little indicator because I filled them all off saying that I have to
04:02get over here.
04:03So I'm going to run over there now that I think everything on this map is dead.
04:07And this is essentially part of the storyline campaign of the game.
04:10When I was at, uh, Captivate in Miami, they had us play in the, the, the competitive mode where human
04:18players play against other human players.
04:20And the zombies are bio, bio weapons are kind of this third force.
04:25Like you're fighting a firefight in a jungle where you have to worry about the lions.
04:29But this is essentially, you've got a storyline repelling you through this.
04:39I'm trying to kill this thing.
04:42Uh-oh.
04:44You could have tried befriending it.
04:45Oh, it's good.
04:47All right.
04:49Let's see what else pops out at us.
04:51All right.
04:51And as we near the five-minute mark, do you have a sense of whether we're hitting some big moments
04:56soon or just kind of more of this?
04:58I think we are, yeah, we're sort of rolling from objective to objective here.
05:03I'm now told I have to survive.
05:05I'm bleeding.
05:06The zombies are going to be more interested in killing me, which they just did.
05:10So there you go.
05:11There you go.
05:11There's a sense of it.
05:12This is not the Resident Evil you're used to playing.
05:14There's nothing scary about it.
05:15You're not going to have to worry about conservation of ammo.
05:18In fact, not only do you have ammo that you seem to be, ammo seems to be kind of full,
05:22but there's also grenades or flash grenades or special attacks.
05:26So this is really a zombie shooter.
05:29You know, you're going in and you're making out the trash, the undead trash.
05:33All right.
05:34That was Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City brought to you by Brian Crescente on the controls.
05:40Coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 and maybe something else.
05:44I don't know.
05:44PC maybe?
05:45Who knows?
05:46Winter 2011, which is the end of this year, beating an X.
05:49One of the two.
05:49I don't know.
05:49I don't know.
05:49I don't know.
05:50I don't know.
05:50Grazie a tutti.
