00:30i
00:31need
00:31to run to the bookstore
00:34to discover something about this tolkien
00:36and the person in the
00:39bookstore said tolkien
00:40i said yeah sort of feeling stupid and
00:43they brought me over and showed me
00:46here's the whole shelf and there you go
00:48there's like 50 things
00:50it is incredible the kind of cultural force that the lord of the rings continues to be
00:55in the 50 years since they've been published the lord of the rings has sold over a
00:58150 million copies and the movies of course were some of the top grossing movies of all time over 5
01:03.9 billion dollars in sales
01:04I'm a pretty big Lord of the Rings fan. I don't dress up
01:08Like any of the characters, but just short of that. I love Tolkien and always have it's the greatest fantasy
01:15thing ever
01:18When I was a kid we would listen to the Hobbit
01:22Audio tapes and the Lord of the Rings audio tapes and the book has always been kind of a a
01:28pretty
01:29Significant feature in our house when return of the king came out. I started crying when the opening sequences rolled
01:37It's a big affair. It's got a love story. It's got bowels
01:42It's got the fight of good against evil. It's got you know, how do you make decisions?
01:46How do those decisions influence people around you and influence the world around you?
01:50You know, so see, it's a very big book in that regard. I was waiting with bated breath for the
01:55movies
01:56Probably from when I first heard they were in production. The two towers I probably watched at least 25 times
02:02and I probably watched Return of the King about 30-35 times
02:05Fellowship of the Ring I saw in theaters once a week for an entire month
02:10With my mom. I feel like every dude wanted to be Aragorn until the movies came out and then everyone
02:16was like Legolas
02:17But no die-hard Aragorn fan all the way for me. He was tall, dark, mysterious
02:23Maybe maybe I had a crush on Aragorn and I'm realizing that now
02:29When the standoff between Gandalf and the Balrog happen and he has that amazing line like
02:37You shall not pass and then he falls and you're like can't have time and you're like no
02:40No, he doesn't he comes back as the white wizard love that part too as much as it is about
02:44adventure and and fighting and wars and everything else
02:49Ultimately what he was writing was about how precious it is to to have a precious is probably the wrong
02:54word he is
02:56precious
02:56so I
02:58Ordered from skyball
03:01The replica of the ring and I wore it on a necklace for about a year
03:07That was an interesting year of my life
03:12If you love talking or Peter Jackson's movies
03:14Lord of the Rings the Hobbit war in the north is that just a fantastic opportunity to get to explore
03:20more of Middle-earth
03:21It does such a good job of staying true to this world to these characters within the story
03:27We developed different personalities and we we were very conscious of trying to come up with personalities that would complement
03:33each other and
03:34Once again that authenticity is very important. We won't be going back that way
03:38I'm thinking the look and feel of a game for me is a deal-breaker if the environments don't feel
03:43immersive and look great
03:44Then I get really annoyed and I have to say that the look and feel of war in the north
03:50is it's beautiful
03:51there's such an array of
03:54Places where they travel to it gives you the opportunity to to see environments and explore places things which are
04:01just names in
04:02in the books like Fornost for instance the ruined city of the Dunedine and you actually get to go and
04:07travel in it
04:08They made you feel as if you're in the Mirkwood or running around in Mount Gundabad
04:14These are places that you've read about or seen in the movies and they look and feel a lot like
04:18that in the game
04:19I like the organic feel of it, you know the the castle walls are kind of crumbling down and the
04:24bows and arrows are made of
04:26pieces of wood, you know, it's not all really slick and kind of polished
04:32expect to see some very familiar faces from the films but also some from the books that weren't in the
04:37films that no one's really seen before
04:38I present to you Eladan and Elrohir the sons of Elrond Hathor
04:43Lord of the Rings brings out the best in artists and
04:48I think this game is another example of how much it means to the people who are designing them
04:52The second I sat down in front of the game I knew I was playing a Lord of the Rings
04:56game
04:56If it didn't say it was a Lord of the Rings game I'd say why are these guys ripping off
05:01Lord of the Rings?
05:13END
05:14END
05:15END
05:15END
05:16END
05:22END
05:29Grazie a tutti.
