00:12:31the buckets to bail out the excess water.
00:12:34You'll then load your letter cubes in your boat, push it to the finish where you will use those letter
00:12:40cubes to build a massive arch puzzle.
00:12:44First two tribes to finish, win immunity, safe from the boat, can't be voted out, losers, tribal council, where somebody
00:12:53will be the fifth person voted out of Survivor 50.

00:29:21was the chance to get to do the things that I love to do
00:29:23and then get to share that with people that are on a show that I love
00:29:26and getting to come up with what I would want for a reward, you know,
00:29:29with the meal that I would want to have if I was out here.

00:29:33Just being a part of something that you love, man,
00:29:35and contributing something to it.

00:29:52The first time I went spearfishing was about 17 years ago.
00:29:55We were in the Bahamas,
00:29:56and I just absolutely fell in love with it.
00:29:59Being able to interact with nature
00:30:01and being able to be immersed in it
00:30:02and being pushed in places where people don't normally go,
00:30:05it recharges my batteries.
00:30:11Every time that I dive,
00:30:12I see something I haven't seen before.
00:30:14It's literally another universe.
00:30:17Being underneath the water
00:30:19makes me feel small in the most incredible way.
00:30:23I find a lot of peace under the water,
00:30:25but there's definitely different challenges.
00:30:27Sometimes the visibility is not as good,
00:30:29and sometimes you're in a lot of current.
00:30:31So you're always reading what's happening around you.
00:30:34I imagine that's the same in Survivor.
00:30:35You've got to adapt to whatever's happening,
00:30:37and you learn how to be around sharks.
00:30:39There's sharks every day that you're spearfishing,
00:30:41and you're battling them for the fish.
00:30:52When you're close enough to get a shot,
00:30:54and it hits the fish,
00:30:55it's an amazing feeling.
00:30:57But that's half the battle.
00:30:58Then you've got to get the fish in your hands
00:31:00as fast as you can,
00:31:01because the sharks,
00:31:01they're going to come after your fish.
00:31:05But once you pull the fish into your body,
00:31:07the shark kind of stops pursuing it.
00:31:10Catching such a big, gnarly fish,
00:31:12that was satisfying.
00:31:13But I didn't want to just bring a bunch of little fish.
00:31:15I wanted to have something impressive.
00:31:17So I can't wait to bring some amazing food,
00:31:19and they're going to eat good.
00:31:21We're going to cook it up and feed them well.

00:54:11But in real life, Ozzy is the most humble, down-to-earth, kind dude

00:54:22And as much as we're all trying to, like, factor in existing relationships

00:54:33And I've loved getting to know everybody here
00:54:35And yet you're all about to write down a name and completely blindside one of the six of you
00:54:42So, Ozzy, one way to look at this is it's a crisis point
00:54:45If you vote out the wrong person, this tribe may not recover
00:54:49Well, Jeff, the fact of the matter is, this also presents an opportunity to build trust
00:54:54Look, I'm willing to put it all out there for these guys, these guys that I've played with
00:54:58They can trust me, and they know that in situations where we need something
00:55:02I'm gonna go out and do the best job I possibly can
00:55:05Christian, Ozzy's looking at the other side, which is, if you survive, the bond gets stronger
00:55:11And that purpose can lead to more cohesion
00:55:14Uh, certainly, but there's the big if at the beginning of that, if you survive
00:55:17And part of that is trust, trusting that not only the group is cohesive
00:55:22But that whatever vote comes next is also not gonna come your way
00:55:27Steph, how do you balance your individual gut versus trying to assess what the group gut is
00:55:35To make sure that they are aligned and it's not you tonight
00:55:38It's hard, I mean, I'm trying to trust my gut
00:55:41But in a game where you're getting so much information from so many different people
00:55:46It's really hard
00:55:47There is no 100% your gut is right, go with that
00:55:51Angelina, how do you balance it?
00:55:54I always let my instincts be the last word
00:55:56And it's the observations, it's the head, it's the heart
00:55:59It's all baked in saying, this is what I feel is right
00:56:02This is what I'm drawn to, this is the right next step
00:56:05That's all I've got out here
00:56:07Mike, obviously it has to serve you
00:56:10It has to serve everybody when they make a vote
00:56:12But it also has to serve the group to some degree
00:56:16Well, the thing that's difficult is
00:56:18I have pre-existing relationships with some of these people
00:56:22I am bonding with some people more than others
00:56:26It's, you know, it's like the dynamics of the group
00:56:28And then there's also, yeah, your individual, you know, affinities
00:56:33And so when it comes to voting, it's like, yeah, there's some people you'd rather lose with than win with
00:56:40You know what I mean?
00:56:41And yet, Mike, it's part of the fun
00:56:43Because you're given permission to do your best lying
00:56:47To try to test your powers of persuasion
00:56:50If I can get somebody off of their idea and onto my idea
00:56:53Yeah, maybe there's something about my profession
00:56:56Which is basically selling people on like a random dream that's totally unnecessary
00:57:02And like, you know, asking them to put a lot of money and resources into it
00:57:06And until you actually turn in what you've done, you feel like you're kind of a con artist
00:57:12You know what I mean?
00:57:13That skill is something that I've honed over the years
00:57:16And it is something that, like, yeah, you wonder if it can be put to work out here
00:57:21And it's a muscle that, I guess, it has a, there's a natural aspect to it, yeah
00:57:28Christian, the interesting thing about what Mike just said is
00:57:31He said, in my job, I have to create things and I have to sell people
00:57:34I have to almost con them into believing me until I'm able to deliver the finished product and show that
00:57:40it was worth it

00:57:45But what I'm getting at is, that's a skill every single person needs in this game
00:57:50What makes it unique with Mike is that that is his actual profession
00:57:54Well, I'll be honest, I've never heard Mike describe it in that way, that that's part of his job
00:57:58But like, I can see it
00:57:59I think that in every one of our professions, there is some kernel we take with us that is useful
00:58:06here on the island
00:58:07So then, how about for you?
00:58:08From the standpoint of, in your career, things are very black and white, I'm guessing
00:58:14That you look at things, if I do this, this will happen
00:58:16Versus out here, it's much more vague
00:58:18Yeah, I mean, a lot of my perspective has changed after playing Survivor
00:58:22Even in my own profession, for sure
00:58:25I mean, it gave me a lot of ideas for my research, for one
00:58:29But more broadly, it opened my eyes to
00:58:34When you're working in a world where all the information you have might not be true
00:58:39How do you investigate what's true and what's not?
00:58:43That's just how it works in all kinds of professions
00:58:45So, yeah, it does recontextualize things
00:58:48I mean, I think it makes me more aware
00:58:51And I think that's a good thing
00:58:53Emily, how often during an afternoon where you're trying to figure out who to vote out
00:58:58Do you change your mind or consider changing your mind?
00:59:01I think you have to come into conversations with an open mind
00:59:04Which means being open to changing your mind
00:59:07And I would say it happens half a dozen times
00:59:10Sometimes it goes A to B and then B back to A and then to D and then to C
00:59:14And I will say, sitting here in Tribal Council at this exact moment
