00:00Rated T for Team.
00:07Hi, I'm Matthew Nordhaus. I'm the project director for Rock Band Blitz here at Harmonix,
00:11and I'm going to tell you a little bit about the excellent power-ups we have in Rock Band Blitz
00:15today.
00:17Rock Band Blitz is faster paced than Rock Band, and there's more to keep track of.
00:20In order to get the best scores, you want to use your power-ups.
00:23So I'd like to tell you about the best ways to use them to get the best score.
00:29After you deploy Band Mate, you'll want to hop onto a different track,
00:32and the Band Mate will continue to play the one that you were originally on.
00:35Band Mate is great because it'll continue to collect overdrive on the track that it was on,
00:39and it'll continue to feed itself overdrive, which will extend its run.
00:43Another great thing about Band Mate is it'll get you into Blitz mode faster,
00:46because it'll keep smashing gems, and it'll do it perfectly.
00:51A lot of the power-ups in Blitz are a little bit more over-the-top and crazy
00:54than the effects that we had in Rock Band.
00:56Again, pinball's a great example.
00:58It flies around the track, it's a little bit silly, and it's super fun to play.
01:02When you hit a pinball note, this ridiculously large silver sphere
01:05starts bouncing around the track all over the place,
01:08and you have to move your smasher to catch it,
01:10which can be tricky if you want to keep your streak alive.
01:13Every note it hits gets you extra points,
01:15and the longer you keep it going, the faster the ball bounces,
01:17meaning that it's more and more challenging to keep it in play.
01:20Pinball's great on a track with lots of dense notes everywhere,
01:23because no matter where it goes, it's going to score you points.
01:25That's just two of the power-ups of the many power-ups that we have in Rock Band Blitz.
01:29Stay tuned, we're going to tell you a lot more about it in the coming weeks.
