00:21and I'm the creative director of Remember Me.
00:25Today, we're going to take a closer look at the game's combat system
00:28and show you our combo customization feature, which we call the Combo Lab.
00:33Let's dive into it.
00:39The glitches on the screen indicate that Nilin is dangerously low on health.
00:44And when she hits the enforcer, no combo is triggered.
00:47That's because she has no active combo.
00:50So let's open the combo lab and see how we can fix this.
00:54The combo lab represents Nilin's fighting memory.
00:56As you fight your way through the game, Nilin will progressively unlock
01:00and remember her forgotten fighting moves, which we call Presence.
01:05You can have up to 4 active combos and you get to customize them
01:09to adapt your tactics to any combat situation.
01:12And to do that, you're going to fill those combos with 4 types of Presence.
01:16Regen, Power, Cooldown and Chain.
01:20There are around 50,000 possible combinations to create your own fighting style.
01:26But for now, let's create just one health regen combo.
01:29All we have to do is pick Regen Presence from the Presence list and drop them into our first combo.
01:34Naturally, the more Presence you have in a combo, the stronger the effects are going to be.
01:38Now let's try this combo.
01:40Keep an eye on Nilin's health gauge at the bottom left of the screen.
01:43You can see it going up and now she's back in the game.
01:47The problem with Regen Presence though is that they deal very low damage.
01:52And to face this new gameplay situation, we're going to go back to the combo lab.
01:57Let's build a second combo using Power Presence.
02:01These Presence deal high damage and can trigger finishing move opportunities,
02:05whereby Nilin is going to overload her enemies memory.
02:11Let's preview this new combo.
02:16And now let's try it out.
02:45Okay, so these new guys have shields.
02:47And combos are not going to work.
02:51And vaulting over them is not going to work either.
02:57What we might want to do now is actually use one of the 5 special Presence, a.k.a. S
03:03Presence.
03:04Each of these special powers will consume one chunk of your focus gauge,
03:09which you can see opposite the health gauge.
03:12You gain focus every time you hit an enemy and every time you get hit.
03:17Let's try the logic bomb.
03:24Now that did a good job of breaking all the shields.
03:28But now here comes a Seraphim.
03:30Seraphims are flying robots that you will basically never be able to get close to,
03:35but that are going to keep shooting at you, interrupting all your combos.
03:39We can try to use the Spammer, Nilin's mid-range weapon.
03:42Try to get around her!
03:45But now it has generated a shield, so we're going to have to try something else.
03:52The rest in pieces sounds good.
03:55What it does is it basically turns robot units into allies and makes them auto destroy.
04:16That was pretty efficient.
04:19But now comes even bigger trouble.
04:22We're going to need all our Espressons.
04:25And as you can see, two of them are cooling down.
04:28So let's see what we can do about that.
04:31The third class of Presence is the cooldown class.
04:35By performing these moves, Nilin is going to reduce Espresson cooldowns,
04:39which is great, because you'll need to use as many of them as possible.
04:44Let's take this opportunity to also introduce Chain Pressons.
04:48When adding a Chain Presson after any other Presson,
04:51its effect will be duplicated and doubled.
04:53And of course, you can put several Chain Pressons in a row,
04:57further multiplying the effect.
04:58Now let's finish the fight.
