00:04What is going on everybody, Mantrus here with Arex and in this Titanfall Breakdown we're
00:10going to be going over Custom Pilot Classes. This is a feature you unlock at level 5 so
00:17let's jump right in. Right so there are 8 different things that you can customise with
00:21your Pilot Class. There is the Primary Weapon, the Anti-Titan Weapon, the Sidearm, the Tactical
00:26Ability, Ordnance, Tier 1 and 2 Kits and the Gender. Now we're going to take a look at weapons
00:31in greater detail in another video so stay tuned to the Official Upload Gamertag so you
00:35know when that video drops but in the meantime let's take a look at some of the other options.
00:39So let's kick it off with the Tactical Abilities. So there are 3 of these, there's Cloak, Stim
00:43and Active Radar Pulse. Personally I think that Stim is just the best way you get across the
00:47map a lot faster, also if you pair it up with your parkour and your wallrunning it allows
00:51you to travel greater distances so I just don't really see any need to use anything else but
00:54I mean why do you particularly like Cloak? So for me Cloak is better than Stim because
01:00you can hide from Titans and Titans are the big powerhouses of the game and if you can
01:05hide from them you're more likely to survive. Also if you're flanking around the map it
01:09does help to be a little less noticeable. Alright so lastly there is obviously Active Radar Pulse
01:14so what do you think about that one? Active Radar Pulse for me is a bit of a gimmick. The
01:19way it works is an x-ray which kind of pops up momentarily and for me it has limited use.
01:24The one time I think it would be useful would be if you're trying to learn say a new map
01:28because especially if there are a lot of kind of tight corridors and you want to sort of
01:30like you know you don't know what's around the corner then you know it might be handy
01:33to at least be the see through the wall. But anyway that is obviously the tactical abilities
01:37so moving on you now have Ordnance. Now this is kind of like you know your projectile, your
01:40explosives, that sort of thing. The Frag Grenade is your standard type of grenade
01:44you know you throw it and it blows up. On the other hand the Arc Grenade you throw it and
01:49it disrupts electrical equipment in the area. So for instance people in Titans get their vision blurred and
01:54pilots also get a similar effect. Satchel charges are like mines that you can place around the map
01:59and then detonate manually. The Arc Mine is interesting because it's basically a mixture
02:04of the last two. It uses the effects of the Arc Grenade with the application of the satchel charge.
02:11However unlike the satchel charge it detonates automatically when either pilots or Titans cross
02:17its path. So personally for me Arc Grenade has to be the winner you know it's in all of my
02:21pilot loadouts
02:22and it's just really really good if I get into a pinch against Titans. I did try the satchel charge
02:26for a bit. I really did want to like it but I just found that you couldn't throw the you
02:29know throw
02:29the satchel charges far enough so you had to get too close and obviously if you're too close when
02:33you detonate it then it has adverse effects. Now next up you have the tier one kit. The enhanced
02:38parkour kit does exactly what it says on the tin. It allows you to wall run and hang off walls
02:43for
02:43longer periods of time. The explosives pack allows you to carry an extra grenade. The power cell allows you
02:50to recharge your pilot ability faster. The run and gun kit allows you to shoot while sprinting with
02:56small arms such as SMGs and pistols. The penultimate kit is the quick reload kit and that allows you to
03:04reload your gun faster. And the final kit is the stealth kit. This gives you silent footsteps and makes
03:11your jetpack boosters almost invisible. Moving on to the tier two kit. The minion detector makes your radar
03:18constantly show all AI enemies on the map. The dome shield battery makes your titan's dome shield
03:25last for a longer period of time. The warp fall transmitter knocks a few seconds of the time it takes
03:31for your titan to fall in from the sky after you've caught it in. Dead man's trigger is a pretty
03:37funny
03:38kit. Upon your death any explosives you planted automatically explode. The ice pick allows you to hack
03:44turrets and spectres much quicker. The guardian chip makes your titan more intelligent when it's AI
03:51controlled i.e when you're not inside it and controlling it yourself. The other cool thing
03:56about this one is not only does it make it slightly more intelligent but it also makes it more aggressive
03:59in its encounters. So if you really do want to use your titan remotely then this is definitely something
04:04for you. Right so that just about wraps up this video. Hopefully you found it helpful and you learned
04:08something new. Don't forget to add the official upload gamertag as a friend and follow us so you can
04:13stay up to date on all of our titan full coverage and be sure to tune back and upload every
