00:15We've brought along two of our uploaders, Sting316 and Zerkovich, to test out the brand new game. So let's go

00:21Just having a look around the studio, see how it all works, see all the hard work these guys put

00:26We've just had so much fun playing the games and meeting the whole dev team that's put out this, you
00:29know, quite epic game.
00:30Pretty awesome, yeah. I've always wondered how these guys put everything together. So it's good to see the technology behind
00:36things.
00:37It's a lot of fun. It's a lot of flailing around, trying to beat your friends, trying to get those
00:41high scores and yeah, I've really enjoyed it so far.
00:43So we've just got a rundown from the Rare Studios and we're now going to scan ourselves into the game
00:48and see what our champions look like. So let's see how that goes.
00:52Yeah, the champion creator is really clever, yeah. I was surprised it'd pick everything up, even the beard and the
00:57fringe and everything.

01:12Now in Kinect Sports Rivals, you get to play as leaner, meaner, all-around, souped-up versions of yourselves.
01:18But as well as going head-to-head in the game, we wanted to see how you guys would fare
01:22in the real world, starting with bowling.
01:26In Kinect Sports Rivals, bowling is all about creativity. You can show off your skill, your style and even your
01:33strength.
01:33You can release the ball at different points, give it a spin and nail down your favorite technique.
01:39You can also supersize your bowling ball and make it tear down the lane.
01:45We've done our best to make our version look similar, but a lot of what makes the game so much
01:50fun was lacking.
01:51No meteor balls here and lots of time in the gutter.
01:58Tennis soars to new heights in Kinect Sports Rivals.
02:02Players get to serve up their skills on a pristine court atop a towering stone pillar,
02:07surrounded by blue skies, palm trees and adoring fans.

02:47Duck past the digital defenders, take powerful shots on goal, make stunning saves.

02:54On the pitch, in real life, getting hit hurts.
02:57And the talent level dropped to embarrassing deaths.
03:01In the game, your champion always looks cool, but...

03:09In Kinect Sports Rivals, you can hone your shooting skills on a variety of unique targets.
03:14Not only that, but you can steal your opponent's targets for more points.
03:18And use turrets to force your opponent to dodge out of the way.
03:32Let's just say the real life version lacked some of the skill and style.

03:38In Kinect Sports Rivals, your champion will fearlessly climb rocks, metal structures and
03:43fantastical constructs with a breathtaking backdrop.
03:47And you can take down your opponent in dramatic fashion.
03:50All while encountering unique challenges like wind zones and getting to shock your rivals
03:54if they get too close.
03:56That's how it's done.
03:56In real life, well, Steven breaks down some of the differences.
03:59Well, one, there's actual heights involved in this, so I'm petrified already.
04:04Two, there's a rope attaching me from certain death.
04:07Three, it's a bit chafey, as you can tell.
04:11And trying to dispatch your opponent isn't recommended, or nearly as thrilling.
