Panic gripped a village in Rajasthan’s Karauli on Sunday after a crocodile entered a house, startling residents. The reptile is believed to have strayed from the nearby river, crossing a hilly stretch before reaching a hut near the home of a Public Works Department employee. It hid under a bed, leaving family members shocked when they spotted it. The forest department was alerted, and a rescue team rushed to the spot. After a difficult operation, the crocodile was safely captured and taken away. No injuries were reported. Villagers said crocodiles are common in the river, but its arrival so far from the water body was unusual.
