00:05Sì, qui abbiamo il protagonista, Jim,
00:08che è stato sentito a missione a climb una montagna
00:12in order to ripare una comunicazione station che non funziona.
00:15In order to reach the top of that mountain,
00:17he's going to have to go through un'acrede nest,
00:19e questo lo ha avuto un'acrede di un'acrede.
00:24Now, you can see it here,
00:26bursting through the spawner.
00:27This is a Fire Wasp,
00:29which is one of our flying acrede types,
00:32and that means that it will not only buzz around you
00:35and try to attack you at close range,
00:37it also has a long-range attack.
00:39Jim is going into cover here
00:41in order to protect against some of those long-range attacks
00:44and defeat the Fire Wasps here.
00:46Now, he's throwing a grenade at the spawner,
00:48and we'll follow that up with some gunfire here
00:51in order to take it out,
00:52and that will allow him to move into the next area.
00:57Now, we have Jim entering the main portion of the Fire Wasp nest,
01:02and he's going to have to continue taking out the Fire Wasps.
01:05One of them has grabbed him here.
01:07This is another example of what we call the struggle mode,
01:09which is present with all of these smaller acred types.
01:12And what we really wanted to do here
01:13was present something that was not a typical QTE.
01:17You will have to bash buttons a little bit,
01:19but afterwards, as you can see here,
01:20you're actually going to have to aim that reticle,
01:23and when it turns red, Jim will attack,
01:25and that will help you finish off the enemy.
01:29Now, we've jumped a section here to the top of the mountain,
01:32and Jim is going to get to the bottom
01:34of why this satellite dish has stopped functioning.
01:36And we can see here in the distance
01:38that there's a mysterious figure
01:39that appeared to have been fiddling with the station.
01:42What the hell?
01:43And that is quite a mystery here for Jim.
01:49Now, he's going to go here and repair,
01:51and while he does that,
01:52he's going to radio his boss
01:53and try to figure out what exactly was going on here.
01:59Cronus Actual, this is Peyton.
02:01Listen, I don't know how else to say this,
02:03but I think we might have a saboteur on the base.
02:06Saboteur?
02:08Jim, no offense.
02:09You're not supposed to go stir-crazy
02:11until you've been here at least a year.
02:13I'm serious, boss.
02:14Somebody was out here.
02:16All right, Jim, I believe you.
02:18First things first, head into the relay station,
02:21raise the satellite dish, and call up the tram.
02:23So as we can see,
02:25there's something not quite right about the situation,
02:28but Jim's got to focus on his mission.
02:30He's now pulled the lever
02:31that is going to put this communication station
02:34back into operation,
02:35and we get a nice, cool reveal here
02:37of the main portion of the satellite dish.
02:57Now that he's restored functionality
02:59to the communication station,
03:02Jim's going to have to call up his utility rig
03:04that he's left at the bottom of the mountain
03:06using the built-in gondola system
03:07that he's repaired along the way,
03:09and this will call his rig up to him
03:11so that he'll be able to use it
03:12to make some final adjustments,
03:13make sure that the base is able
03:15to communicate with her.
03:17So as we can see here,
03:18he's operating the gondola system,
03:22and that will call the utility rig
03:23back up from the mountain,
03:24and all he has to do is wait for it to arrive
03:26to complete his mission.
03:27Corona's actual, you copy?
03:29I've got the satellite dish working.
03:30Just waiting for the rig to come up.
03:37However, looks like someone's not too happy
03:39having the visitors here
03:40at the top of the mountain.
03:41This is another one of our new Acrid types
03:43that we're showing off here in the video,
03:46and this is the Spitter,
03:48which is a Cat L, large-size Acrid.
03:51As you can see, it's sort of scorpion-like,
03:53and this is actually going to be
03:55one of the larger Acrid types in the game.
03:58Not the biggest by far,
04:00but certainly one of the larger types.
04:02and it's going to be quite difficult
04:03for Jim to defeat on foot.
04:05It's basically a boss encounter.
04:06As you can see, you have to roll.
04:08You have to dodge in order to avoid
04:10its attacks from its tail.
04:13It also spits venom at Jim as well.
04:16So what Jim is really doing here
04:17is he's trying to damage it
04:19and, you know, really trying to stand up against it,
04:21but he knows that his rig is on its way up,
04:23and if he can get in his rig,
04:24it's going to make this a much more even fight.
04:26And so that's definitely what Jim
04:29is looking to try to do here.
04:30Now, he's hit it enough times
04:32and done enough damage
04:32that the spitter is going to retreat to its cave.
04:37And that's actually good timing for us
04:38because it'll give us an opportunity
04:40to buy some time while the rig shows up.
04:42We can see a little bit there
04:44from the gondola apparatus
04:46the rig showing up here
04:48as we take out a few of these fire wasps.
04:52and sure enough, here is the rig
04:55that has shown up at the top of the mountain
04:56and now all Jim has to do is get in it
04:59and we're going to try to finish off
05:00the spitter that we saw a few minutes ago.
05:03Once again, when we jump into the rig
05:05in Lost Planet 3,
05:06we're back in first person.
05:08It's very important for us
05:09to sell the perspective
05:11and the scale of the rig.
05:12It is the largest vehicle
05:14we've ever had in the series.
05:16And here, Jim is going to use
05:19one of the upgrades
05:20that you get over the course of the game
05:21which is called the winch.
05:23You start with the claw arm
05:24on the left side of the rig
05:26and the winch allows you
05:27to basically shoot that out
05:29and it will kill smaller enemies
05:31with a single hit
05:32as we can see with the fire wasps.
05:33And then you can also use it
05:35to latch on to larger enemies
05:36and draw them in.
05:39Now, we can see that the spitter
05:41has shown back up.
05:43Looks like it's rested a little bit
05:45and wants to get back in the fight.
05:47So now we're going to give it
05:48something its own size to take on.
05:52We can bash using the drill arm
05:55which will help
05:57and then grab on with the winch
05:59as we mentioned earlier
05:59and then we can pull in
06:01using the winch
06:03and that will allow us to grab the tail
06:05lift it up and attack with the drill.
06:06Now, an important thing to note here
06:08it's hard to tell a little bit
06:09from the video
06:10but when you're actually playing the game
06:11all of these things
06:12are their own unique controls.
06:15So, when you grab onto the tail
06:17you've got to use the trigger to grab
06:18you've got to use the stick
06:20to lift the tail up
06:21you have to use the right trigger
06:23to drill
06:23and you have to aim the drill.
06:25So, it's not a situation
06:26where the game is doing everything for you.
06:28We really want you to feel
06:29as though you're personally in control
06:30of this large rig.
06:32Now, we've taken the tail off
06:33we've bashed it into submission
06:34a little bit
06:35and we're going to try to come in here
06:37now to finish it off.
06:38So, bash it
06:39stun it a little bit
06:40come in
06:41grab with the left trigger
06:42and then we're going to use the drill here
06:44in order to finish it off
06:45which is quite a gory
06:47and satisfying way
06:48to kill the enemy.
06:53And there we go.
06:55Before we finish out the video here
06:57just going to play
06:58one of our cool cinematics here
07:00that's going to show
07:00a little bit more
07:01of the background
07:02of some of the characters
07:03and also give some hints
07:04at some of the mysteries
07:06that Jim and the others
07:07are facing here on EDN3.
07:15Dr. Roman?
07:17Drop your weapon.
07:19Whoa, whoa, whoa.
07:20Easy now, Doc.
07:21Who are you?
07:22Where'd you come from?
07:23I'm Jim Payton.
07:24Just here to check up...
07:25Where from?
07:27Coronas.
07:27What the hell, lady?
07:28Where else would I be from?
07:30Braddock sent me.
07:32I know you.
07:34Right.
07:36They came down
07:36with that creepy fella
07:37you don't like
07:38with the big head.
07:40Just hitching a riot,
07:42I swear.
07:42Barely know the guy.
07:45You may be done
07:46aiming things at me now?
07:52Braddock sent you?
07:53I'm going to make sure
07:54you're okay.
07:56See if you needed any help.
07:58Touching concern
07:59after all these months.
08:02To what do I owe
08:03such an excess of caution?
08:05I might ask the same
08:06shotgun, Sally.
08:10You've seen it then,
08:11haven't you?
08:13Yeah.
08:14Someone in the distance.
08:16Watching.
08:18Hard to know
08:19what I saw.
08:21They say folks
08:22start to crack up.
08:24Out here in the white
08:25too long?
08:27Perhaps.
08:29Do you feel
08:30cracked?
08:31I can't say as I do.
08:33Then there's something
08:34the old man's not telling us.
08:37You realize that?
08:40Trying not to.
08:43I know how it is.
08:45You didn't come here
08:47to ask questions.
08:50But believe me, James.
08:53This place has secrets.
08:58Keep your eyes open.
09:00Or they'll sneak up on you
09:01when you least expect it.
09:06It's not a good
09:07nominous, Doc.
09:08I'm just here to do a job.
09:09Eh, that's convenient.
09:10And yet?
09:12I've got one for you.
