00:20So today we're going to be showing you one of our veteran dungeons
00:23And that is the Crypt of Hearts
00:24This will be coming out around the end of June
00:27The thing about veteran dungeons
00:28In particular, this very most recent one
00:31Is that they are hard
00:32I think that's what we'll be showing a lot of here
00:34The good news is that we have the benefit of editing
00:36To make us look like we never die
00:38Although we do die quite a bit
00:39The bad news is that we're
00:42Still going to be having to deal with this incredibly challenging encounter
00:45And when you guys deal with it too
00:46You'll really see how hard it can be
00:49One of the things I'm trying to focus on as DPS
00:51Is I'm going around and making sure I interrupt all the monsters
00:54I have an ability called Deep Breaths
00:56Which allows me to do an AoE interrupt
00:58Also I use a standard of might to stop taking a whole lot of damage
01:01Speaking of dying, that's actually probably my responsibility
01:04So I chose Sorcerer Tank for this
01:07And I particularly like Sorcerer Tanks
01:08Because not only do I have my sword and board
01:10But my sorcerer abilities augment that by allowing me to go into lightning form
01:14Which gives me extra shielding
01:16Of course, puncture or ransack with my sword and board abilities
01:20Really keep the taunt alive on the monster
01:22So the monster will follow me while everybody else does all the work
01:25This boss is particularly challenging
01:27In a lot of ways
01:28It was the one that has maybe the most learning curve
01:31Just because there's so many mechanics
01:33You need to tank the boss
01:34And face her away from the group
01:36Because she's going to shoot out this storm of lightning
01:38She also picks a random person
01:39To drop an entire area that chases them
01:42And they have to run a lap
01:44You can see it happening right there
01:45To make sure that they don't get hit by it
01:47She'll web a team member and then someone has to come free them
01:50Yeah, in these dungeons the monsters tend to hit so hard
01:53You know, even with their base attacks and just dealing with that
01:56That if you're not properly interrupting and blocking their really powerful ones
02:01You'll go down very fast
02:02It's really important that every member of the group play really well
02:05Healers take note
02:07You are going to be in for a lot of work
02:09For this particular run I was playing a Nightblade healer
02:12Basically using the restoration staff
02:14I have my shield in there to help out when times get really close
02:19And the rest of the time I'm running around trying to keep people alive
02:22And trying to stay out of fire
02:27It's a pretty complicated fight to learn all the way through
02:29But when everyone does their part right
02:31You can take her down
02:32Which is kind of what we did there
02:34Which is totally what we did there
02:36In one take too
02:37And did not take five takes
02:38First try
02:40Take that Ruzzle as well from us
02:43I still don't know how you pronounce that name
02:47All right
02:48And here we are with a different boss encounter
02:51This actually starts off
02:52It kind of fools you
02:55It starts off with two of these Daedra here
02:57That we're going to fight
02:58One is lightning and one is fire
03:00One of the reasons we went for the flame twin first
03:04Was Ritch is actually a vampire
03:06So we're a little bit afraid of all the fire damage
03:08We're going to be taking
03:09Since he's our main healer
03:10We want to make sure that he doesn't suddenly get bursted down
03:13Now why did you pick a vampire, Ritch?
03:16That is just my stomp
03:17No tactical advantage
03:18I just like the red eyes
03:20I do
03:20As Maria said
03:21Fire hurts
03:23Skeletal
03:24He comes out
03:25He does the big stomp attack right off the get go
03:26So everyone has to just not rush in right away
03:28And get hit by the big stomp attack with it
03:30Oh god
03:31Yay Paul
03:32Paul and I are super excited about finding this boss
03:35So yeah
03:36He summons these adds
03:37That you generally want to kite
03:38Because they'll explode when they die
03:41Meanwhile you've got to keep DPS on the boss
03:43Off in the background
03:44And then he'll initiate these
03:46Waves of fire or lightning
03:47Depending on the face
03:49And it kind of becomes every man for himself
03:51You can see we're kind of working together here
03:53Ritch is doing a pretty good job of throwing out heals
03:54But a lot of times the group will get separated
03:57And you just kind of have to do your best of
03:58Avoid taking damage
03:59And keeping yourself alive for the duration
04:01Because it's just
04:02It's so quick
04:02These fires start dropping down
04:04So you can see one here
04:05Like I'm way in the back
04:06And oh well I'm separated
04:08I guess I'll just hang back here
04:09And hope I don't die
04:10Yeah so when Paul goes down here
04:12And we can see the nifty death recap
04:13Showing how he died
04:14The key thing is
04:16It's not over right
04:17Maria can come in and run into battle resim
04:19And while that's happening
04:21I can
04:22We'll cut to that
04:22I can stand back and tank him for a second
04:24With some roll dodging
04:26I'll bow tank him
04:27You can see there
04:28I don't want to get hit with any of this
04:29Because I'll just die
04:30Yeah so even though rolls are important
04:33Picking up the slack for others in your party
04:35Who might not be as good
04:37Is pretty common
04:39Yeah so as he gets lower and lower
04:41You can start seeing the cadence
04:42Of these explosions and lightning bolts
04:44Starts going up
04:45And it basically gets to the point where
04:48You can't hold it
04:50You can't hold it together
04:51It's going to fall apart
04:52And it's just a race
04:53It's a race for survival
04:53It's a race to the finish
04:54And everyone's spamming their abilities
04:56And their heals
04:57And just trying to stay alive
04:58As well as they can
04:59And you've got to be dodging
05:01And keeping yourself alive
05:02And healing everyone you can
05:04And doing as much damage to that guy
05:06As you possibly can
05:07I find the best way to finish this off
05:09Is flat on your back
05:10Which is good
05:11You definitely had your share of those
05:13Yeah
05:15Yeah so first try we killed that guy
05:16Which is good
05:17Because you know
05:18There was no editing there
05:22All right here we are
05:23We're getting to the final boss battle
05:25In Crypt of Hearts here
05:27And so this sword is something you run in
05:29You activate
05:30And you summon the boss
05:31And you kind of see a little bit
05:33About what's going on here
05:34Just go touch it
05:35I'm sure nothing bad will happen
05:38Glowing sword in the middle of the room
05:40Yeah just go touch it
05:41We're going to save that for you
05:43To experience when you go through
05:44The veteran version of Crypt of Hearts
05:47Yeah this guy is no joke
05:48You definitely want to be fully buffed
05:49When you take him on
05:50Is he going to use that sword later?
