00:12welcome to another preview for Tribes Ascent.
00:14Today we look at the Blitz update.
00:16Blitz includes
00:17a brand new game mode, an update
00:19to the Technician class, two new maps
00:22added to the Quick Play queue,
00:23and a bunch of additional voicebacks.
00:26Let's take a look.
00:30The headline feature of this update
00:31is a variation on Capture the Flag
00:33we call Blitz. In Blitz,
00:36every time your team
00:37scores a flag capture, the
00:39enemy flag base changes location,
00:42often to a more secure area.
00:44So you're going to see more
00:45varied flag capture routes during
00:47each match, and different team
00:50tactics are required to defend
00:51and capture those flags as the
00:54stand moves. With this release,
00:56we support CTF Blitz
00:58on three maps, Arx Novena,
01:00Katabatic, and Dry Dock.
01:04The Technician class gets his update
01:06this time around.
01:08His new primary weapon
01:10is the TC-24.
01:17It fires four short-range
01:19explosive projectiles before having
01:21to reload.
01:23It's a great weapon for uncovering
01:25infiltrators and harassing the enemy
01:27while your turret eats away at them.
01:36The newest belt item for the Technician is
01:39the Repair Kit.
01:42The Repair Kit will
01:43automatically repair any damaged
01:45structures or mechanical objects
01:47around it. This can be used
01:49in combination with your own repair
01:51tool, or you can free up your
01:53secondary slot for an additional weapon.
01:55These repair kits are perfect
01:57for topping off health on defenses
02:00while you move on to other things.
02:05Finally, the Technician gets a new pack.
02:08The EXR Turret.
02:12This brand new turret
02:14has a longer range than the
02:16light turret and fires a small
02:17explosive rocket.
02:20It deals less focus damage
02:22than the light turret, but makes up
02:23for this with flexibility
02:25when deployed outdoors.
02:30The Technician also
02:31gets a brand new skin this update.
02:34The Specialist.
02:37With this update, we promote
02:39the maps Dangerous Crossing
02:41and Permacross to the Quick Play queue.
02:44Thanks for the feedback on these maps.
02:46Based on your suggestions,
02:47we made modifications to both
02:49flag stands, tweaked the fog
02:51on Dangerous Crossing,
02:53and also added set dressing
02:54to Permacross.
02:56We look forward to having you guys
02:57play these maps on the Quick Queue.

03:10Sound familiar?
03:11With this update, we introduce
03:13additional voice packs using
03:15the classic original voices
03:17from Tribes 2.
03:18There are 5 male voices,
03:215 female voices,
03:22and 3 Bioderm voices.
03:23So, plenty to choose from
03:25and expect plenty of VGS voice spam out there.
03:28Also, for those of you in North America
03:30who have been asking about central servers,
03:32with this release, we're pleased
03:34to give you the option to
03:36purchase and configure custom servers
03:38located in a central region,
03:40Dallas, Texas to be specific.
03:42As a note, this is only a custom
03:44server option and not for Quick Play.
03:47Internationally, we continue to expand.
03:49We just got back from a great show
03:50in Germany, Gamescom,
03:52where our booth was packed.
03:54With this release, we introduce a beta version
03:56of German language support
03:58and French language support
04:00on both our website and the game client.
04:03Finally, as always,
04:04there's a bunch of balance changes
04:06and bug fixes in the release.
