00:00I'm David Rowden.
00:01I'm the stunt coordinator on the Rookie, and we were doing a slight high fall off of the
00:06balcony where a guy's jumping over, so we built a box catcher for him instead of using
00:11a typical airbag or putting him on a wire.
00:14So the reason we use a box catcher is when he comes off of there at any angle he is,
00:19it basically catches him.
00:20It crumples in the middle so he doesn't bounce or there's no accidents happening that way.
00:25So that's what we're using for the scene of him jumping over the rail.
00:28Hello.
00:28My name is Jared Harper.
00:29I'm a stuntman here in Los Angeles, California, and I stunt fell by the character Randy on
00:34the Rookie.
00:34So today we had a jump from the second story of a hotel balcony onto a layer of boxes that
00:41we set up ahead of time and a mesh pad.
00:44We shot that a couple of times and that was pretty easy peasy.
00:47And then after that, we changed where the cameras were looking at a different direction.
00:52And I landed on one of the characters and it was a wrap.
01:04Please tune in to The Rookie on ABC.
01:06See you next time.
01:06Bye-bye.
01:06Bye-bye.
