Un messaggio da Tim Sweeney per l'Unreal Engine 4.
Trascrizione
00:04I'm Tim Sweeney. I'm the founder of Epic Games. I've been doing this for about 22 years now.
00:13I began writing the Unreal Engine back in 1995.
00:16In a much simpler days then, I wrote about 80% of the first generation code myself.
00:21And for the first three generations of Unreal, we've given our tools out to the community,
00:25starting with supporting mod makers for Unreal Tournament.
00:28And we've also licensed our engine to some of the top companies in the game industry.
00:32And with this generation, we've decided to put the best of both of those worlds together,
00:36giving out our full source and our full tools to the community on very simple, straightforward business terms.
00:42So there's no limit to what you can build as long as you have the idea and you have the
00:46will to build it.
00:51Today we're releasing Unreal Engine 4.
00:53Not just some version of Unreal Engine 4, but the entire thing,
00:56is using both the tools and the entire source code in C++.
00:59And this is the same exact engine used by some of the most respected companies in the game industry.
01:05So it's very simple. You just go to Epic's website and you can sign up for a subscription to Unreal
01:09Engine 4 for $19 a month.
01:11And if you're going to ship a game, then you pay Epic a 5% royalty on the revenue from
01:15your game.
01:17Now is a really great time in the game industry. Developers have more opportunity than ever before.
01:22And with the full Unreal Engine toolset and the full C++ source code for the entire engine,
01:27there's really no limit to what a developer can do.
01:30We succeed when you succeed.
01:32We'll be right back.
01:32Before we go.
01:32Before we go.
01:34Finally, via on Operating the Barbar filter is more accessible and accessible,
01:34as well as possible tools,
01:36wherever everyone want you to view that.
01:36Grazie a tutti
