00:10For those who haven't seen yet our project on Kickstarter, Outcast is an awesome action
00:15adventure that came out in 1999.
00:18We are the developers of the original game working today on this reboot.

00:34The game takes place in a parallel world called Adelpha, it's a planet located in a universe
00:39which exists alongside our home.
00:41The hero Cater Sled is a former nervous seal, and he was responsible for protecting two scientists
00:46and an exobiologist which were sent to Adelpha to locate and repair a damage probe.
00:52Here is Cater Sled, as I said this is the original model that we have integrated to get this
00:57functional demon.
00:59Here is an example of how detailed the face might look in the new version, actually you
01:04should expect the same level of quality for each character.
01:38outcast is a true open world with six large regions to explore.
01:42For this demo we will stay in the region called Shamuzor.
01:45When released it was one of the first game offering a true non-linear gameplay.
01:50You are not forced to go here or there, you can go everywhere, discuss with inhabitants and
01:55you can do the quest in any area.
01:57Or if you prefer you can simply go straight away to fight a patrol of soldiers, actually

02:17Adelpha is populated by several atypical creatures.
02:20As an example, here you can see a herd of wild Tuana.
02:24These creatures are peaceful herbivores that live in the earth dominated by one or more
02:29males.
02:30Like every creature in the game, their behavior is not scripted.
02:34Each individual has its own life cycle and reacts to various stimuli from the environment.
02:40Therefore, you will see them eat, drink, sleep or being intrigued by your presence.
02:47These ones are wild Tuana, but they are also tamed Tuana that you can ride to go faster.
03:10Each character has a spoken dialogue in English, French and German, other languages are subtitled.

05:24We are still using the whole 3D model with the whole animation.
05:28And we haven't yet implemented the special effect related to the weapon, impact or explosion.
