Dragon Age: Inquisition - Il video "8 motivi per amarlo".
Trascrizione
00:04Hello, welcome to AXIS, I'm Robyn, joining us today is Holly, all the way from London, and Holly, you finally
00:12got to play loads of Dragon Age Inquisition.
00:15It was incredible, yeah, no, I was in like a dark room for like three and a half hours and
00:20I got to play loads of it and it was incredible.
00:22That sounds like your dream afternoon.
00:24Yes, the dark room bit especially.
00:25And you're going to talk us through eight reasons that we're all going to love Dragon Age Inquisition as much
00:31as you do.
00:32Yeah, I got eight together, I thought eight was pretty good, there's loads of stuff in that eight, but I
00:36thought eight kind of covered off everything that was awesome.
00:39Cool, so what's the first reason?
00:41Okay, we're going to start with character customisation, which for me, this is the epitome of Bioware games, right, I
00:49spend hours making my characters, I get really lost in it.
00:52It's quite important, isn't it, in RPGs?
00:55Creating a cool character.
00:57Well, you're going to be that person for, well, I'm playing, hundreds of hours, so they need to look really
01:03badass and it's always tempting to make them look like the human blob.
01:08So you've got loads of different classes I just saw there, Rogue and Mage and...
01:11Yes, so for anyone who plays the Bioware games, I'm really bad because I always play the same character, which
01:19is a redhead human rogue.
01:51Have you gone with the same thing here?
01:52How your Adam's apple looks and even like the inner and outer colour of your iris and hair options is
02:00still RPG hair options, there's never enough hair options.
02:04My main problem with things like this is I never know what I look like enough.
02:08I don't know what my nose looks like from the side.
02:10How do you know?
02:11I know I haven't got a very good side profile, so I'm always really conscious when Dave is filming that
02:16I never give a side profile.
02:18But I get really, this is it, I've started Mass Effect games before and my nose hasn't been quite right
02:23in like an hour and a half and I'm like, nope, got to start again.
02:25Start again.
02:26Got to get my nose right.
02:27You got a scar there.
02:28Always have a scar.
02:29Yeah, I always have a scar.
02:30My characters are so generic now I think about it.
02:33Scarred, human, bit of blusher.
02:36Yeah, got a highlight with cheekbones.
02:37I really like the graphics on the lips.
02:39You can even change how glossy they are.
02:41They're really shiny, aren't they?
02:42You can change that if you don't want lip gloss in the battlefield, you can have less lip gloss.
02:48I was really impressed with it.
02:50I love character customization is like...
02:52So you were able to tweak your character to a degree that pleased you?
02:57Kind of, because I was really conscious that we had a limited amount of time to play.
03:02I decided to just kind of make something very basic, but I would have spent an hour at least probably
03:09making my character.
03:10So moving on then, what else is brilliant?
03:13Tell me.
03:14World map.
03:15There's actually a world map.
03:16So if you played previous Dragon Age games, some people...
03:19I'm a fan of the last one, but some people found them a little claustrophobic.
03:22Yeah, it wasn't as big as Skyrim.
03:24That's what I remember thinking.
03:25It wasn't really big at all.
03:27It was very much the city.
03:29It was all about the city, and that's kind of where you lived.
03:31You re-explored the same bit quite a few times at different points in the story,
03:35because the Dragon Age 2 story was spread over a number of years,
03:38where this is just ridiculous.
03:40This is proper world map stuff.
03:42And I was...
03:44Like I said, I played this particular bit for nearly two hours,
03:46and I really only scratched for service.
03:49It's like so much there.
03:51So is it completely open then?
03:53Are we thinking, like Skyrim, you just go anywhere, do anything,
03:57or is it divided into hubs?
03:58You know, how does the open world work?
04:00I feel like it's going to be a little bit divided into hubs.
04:02So what kind of happens is...
04:04This is the Hinterlands.
04:06So I was at the table of the Inquisition,
04:09and they were like,
04:09OK, you need to go to the Hinterlands and sort something out.
04:12So I selected this from, like, an options menu,
04:15and then I arrived in the Hinterlands.
04:17But this section is just...
04:18It's massive compared to everything.
04:20It does look massive.
04:20And there's loads of things to do.
04:22Like, what we're finding here was, like,
04:23a random find in the field.
04:25It's like a big, glowy thing.
04:27Now, Dave is quite kind,
04:30and edited this quite well.
04:32I skipped the instructions,
04:33and it took me quite a while to figure out what I was meant to do.
04:36Well, you've done it first time, Holly.
04:37Look at this.
04:37Through the magic of Dave's editing, probably, yes.
04:40It didn't take me three and a half minutes in real life.
04:44I'm not very good at puzzles.
04:46Oh, so you've got to kind of draw the kind of constellations to unlock stuff.
04:53Yeah, and this is, like, one of six in this map alone.
04:56Sorry, I'm in stealth here.
04:58Oh, yeah.
04:58How has that happened?
04:59That's cool.
05:00I was in stealth mode.
05:01It's one of my rogue abilities.
05:03And this is the other...
05:04Look how far you can see.
05:05This is, like, weird.
05:07This is a giant glowing skull on a stick.
05:09Okay.
05:10And you look through the giant glowing skull.
05:12Varric makes some kind of comment about it always being a skull.
05:15And you kind of have to try and find these shards.
05:18They kind of glow when you get near them.
05:20And then you can go off and actually go find them.
05:22So if you can see it there in the distance, it's there to be collected.
05:26It does look very, like, it's scratching that itch that I have of really wanting to dive into a massive
05:33fantasy world that I haven't been able to do for ages.
05:36Certainly not on PS4 yet.
05:38No.
05:38And it looks big and meaty.
05:40But it's got story as well.
05:42So there's been plenty of things doing plenty of guidance.
05:43There's been other kind of open world fantasy games that just haven't done it for me because I like a
05:49bit of direction.
05:50So Dragon Age felt like I knew what I was doing.
05:52I had to go a trophy.
05:53Oh, nice.
05:54They are masters of storytelling, aren't they, Bioware?
05:57Look at this.
05:58It's going to be a good story.
05:59So we've had customisation.
06:00We've had the world map.
06:02What are you going to wow me with next?
06:04Fighting.
06:05Yay.
06:06Yay.
06:07Killing things.
06:08Yeah, hitting people.
06:09So the battle system feels like if you're a big Dragon Age fan, it's going to feel very, very comfortable
06:17to what you know.
06:18But it's been made very streamlined.
06:20So I play this on easy because I'm in it for the story.
06:25I've got no time for difficult battles.
06:27If you hit the touchpad on your DualShock 4, it goes into this mode.
06:32And any Dragon Age fan knows this is like your battle planning mode.
06:35and you can switch between characters and set them up to do different things, which is kind of what I'm
06:38doing here.
06:40Oh, I like the smoke.
06:41Smoke's pretty.
06:42That was me, I think, going in and out of stealth.
06:45That's cool.
06:46See, all these things that look great and all I'm noticing are these little kind of geeky graphical effects that
06:51are on there.
06:52Fire looks nice.
06:53Smoke looks nice.
06:54The ice looks nice.
06:55So I always found the Dragon Age combat quite action heavy as well.
07:01Yeah.
07:01Playing as a rogue, I remember I was a rogue in Dragon Age 2, and you were able to do,
07:06you know, it was almost like an action game.
07:08Yeah, and that's how I play it.
07:10So I don't tend to do this so much when I'm playing on my own, so I've done this just
07:14for you guys.
07:15But because I play it on easy.
07:17Tactics, you mean?
07:17Yeah, I don't do tactics.
07:18Because I play it on easy, I play it like an action game.
07:21So I very much go in and just go a little bit nuts.
07:24If you hit R3 as well, you can target your kind of nearby enemy, and that can help you with
07:29locking on.
07:29Especially if you want to, as a rogue, you want to get behind them and stab them in the back.
07:33And the party members you've got here, I take it they're all AI controlled?
07:37They're AI controlled.
07:38But at any point, you can just hit L1, and you can bring up the wheel, where you can do
07:41potions, and you can also give them sort of direct orders.
07:44Maybe if it's, I want you to heal, or I want you to attack or defend.
07:48You know, you can have full control over them as well.
07:50Cool, so what's next?
07:52Okay, characters.
07:53Because, like, the best thing of every sort of Bioware game is about having your party.
07:56So we're on the party select screen now.
07:59Can you do sexy times?
08:00That's all I want to know.
08:01I hope you can do sexy times.
08:03Otherwise, well, that's the best bit, really.
08:07We didn't get to do any sexy times in the time I was playing, but look, there's Varric.
08:10He looks incredible.
08:12He does look good.
08:12He was so much fun to have in your party.
08:15Look at the freckles and the little pock marks on his skin.
08:18And chest hair.
08:19He's got chest hair.
08:20And there's you, Holly.
08:22That's me.
08:23I have a badass coat on, which I really like my badass coat.
08:27But yeah, so your character's really great, and people that probably don't know me that well, because my accent's quite
08:32hidden.
08:33And I'm Welsh, and the elves are Welsh again.
08:36Welsh elves.
08:37Which makes me really happy.
08:39That's cool.
08:39It makes me feel like I'm back home in the mountains with my people.
08:44Yeah, so the characters are incredible.
08:45I've already had some new characters introduced in the prologue, which we weren't allowed to show because they didn't want
08:51any spoilers.
08:52So I've seen who I'm hoping is going to be the main male love interest, because yes.
08:59And you can like, you know, you've got relationships with each of these characters that you can decide, you know,
09:04how they go.
09:05Yeah, I found Cassandra.
09:06With like branching conversations and things.
09:07I'm sorry.
09:08I found Cassandra likes when you're like quite sassy.
09:10Yeah.
09:11So there's been a few times where I've given quite sarcastic responses, and you get the little Cassandra approves slightly
09:17on the left-hand side.
09:18You're like, ah, that's how you like it.
09:20So where are we now then?
09:21There's lots of tents and things.
09:23Are you making stuff?
09:24Kind of.
09:24So this, when you come onto the world map, this is your main Inquisition base camp, and you can set
09:29more of these up.
09:30But here in the camp, we kind of see what I'm doing now is the crafting.
09:35So I had to find the requisition first of all, so find the person requesting it, and then I could
09:40unlock, and for that one I needed like five bits of lambswool or something, and then I was able to
09:45create this tent.
09:46And then when I created the tent, it gave me like a boost to like my Inquisition stats.
09:51So there's loads of different other things you can find.
09:53And for this one, for potions, there's like a potions bench, and you go up to it, and it just
09:58automatically restocks your potions.
10:00So when you're out on the hinterlands, it's massive.
10:03So just having one camp is not enough.
10:06So if you're setting up loads of camps, you can keep refreshing your potions quite a lot.
10:09But the crafting and the potion things have basically just had a massive overhaul.
10:14So you're not just finding elf root everywhere, and you end up with like a hundred pieces of elf root
10:19and like nothing else.
10:20Can you make weapons and stuff as well, or is it just like potions?
10:23I imagine you can do.
10:25I have met the requisitions officer, but I haven't been able to actually try it myself yet.
10:29Also, all I made was a tent.
10:31A tent?
10:31I made a tent.
10:32So I know we're talking about like, I just mentioned, having like a thousand pieces of elf root.
10:37But of course the inventories had a massive overhaul as well.
10:40Like it's so much smoother.
10:43I'm a big original Dragon Age player, and that was really like confusing.
10:47There's lots of numbers on words on this page.
10:50Yeah, so I'm in like the main inventory screen.
10:52So every piece of item I've collected is now in this particular section.
10:56But basically, if you use the analog stick on the left, you can go up and down this and
11:01equip things, and you can check if they're better than what you've currently got equipped.
11:04But if you hit up and down on the D-pad, you go through characters.
11:07I see you've got a brilliant staff there.
11:09I do, yeah.
11:11Can you get a rubbish staff as well?
11:13I think that's what you start with, which is basically just a magic twig.
11:16Is it called rubbish staff?
11:18I doubt it's called rubbish staff, but it is just a twig that glows a bit.
11:22I'd like them to be called that.
11:23They start off rubbish, average, good, brilliant.
11:27And then they're better than amazing staff.
11:29Then what do you do when you get that?
11:30You can't go more amazing-ing.
11:33Incredible staff.
11:34Where'd you get to?
11:36Legendary staff.
11:37Exotic staff.
11:38We're on a different game.
11:39Congratulations, we've made it to destiny.
11:42But yeah, there was loads of different things I was picking up.
11:44but it's just so much simpler and so much easier to use.
11:48And also the skill tree had a bit of a workover as well.
11:50Very simple to use, very quick to go in.
11:53And yes, you can turn helmets off,
11:55which if anyone plays RPGs like I do,
11:58helmets can be ugly as hell and you can hide the helmet.
12:01You just want to see your face, don't you, I guess, as well.
12:04Yes, it's really important.
12:06Don't want a big helmet obscuring it.
12:07It's a massive deal for an RPG fan.
12:09You don't spend an hour making your character
12:11to have their face covered by an ugly helmet.
12:13Yeah, if I've spent, you know, time adjusting my earlobes,
12:17I want to see my damn earlobes.
12:18Well, exactly.
12:19If isn't it, earlobes cider, it's really important.
12:22So yeah, nice overhaul, very simple.
12:25Get in, do what you need to do, get out.
12:27It's all there.
12:28It's no fuss.
12:29I like it.
12:30And so for you, Holly,
12:32you've played the first two Dragon Age games,
12:34I guess this feature now that we're seeing
12:35is very important for you.
12:37Yeah, and so I'm like 300 hours plus, I think,
12:40between the other two Dragon Age games
12:43because romancing Alistair time and time again
12:46is important to me.
12:47Everyone always mentions Alistair.
12:48Who is this man?
12:49Alistair is the world's most perfect man.
12:51Is he?
12:51Yeah.
12:52He's wonderful.
12:55Rob, have you ever lit a lamppost in winter?
12:58Yes.
12:59Carry on.
13:00Anyway, yeah, you can import your world.
13:03So they say the app will be coming out.
13:05You can do it on the web.
13:06It's also like an Android app as well.
13:08It's coming out about a month before launch,
13:09so I need to check if it's there.
13:11But it's called Dragon Age Keep,
13:13and you can go here and answer some questions
13:15about your previous game.
13:17I'm assuming they're questions.
13:18About your previous game,
13:19and then kind of rebuild the world.
13:21Okay.
13:21So that things you've done in the past will carry over.
13:24So, you know, if we're playing the first Dragon Age
13:27and maybe you end up with Alistair,
13:30that'll have a much bigger effect on the world
13:33than maybe if you had the elf origin
13:36where you couldn't marry Alistair.
13:38So if you've had these things
13:40and you have spent 300 hours in your game,
13:42you kind of want it to carry over
13:43to Dragon Age Inquisition.
13:44That is cool.
13:45Cool for both old school fans
13:48and people who are new to the series as well, I guess.
13:50I hope Alistair's in it.
13:51I'm sure he will be.
13:52He sounds like a very important man in your life.
13:56He is.
13:57My first true life.
13:59So the main thing I'm wondering, Holly,
14:01is what is the Inquisition, though?
14:04Inquisition?
14:05Tell me about it.
14:06Really, I don't want to give you any spoilers.
14:07Like I said, I've played the prologue,
14:09which was like the first hour and a half,
14:10that kind of explained why I'm doing what I'm doing,
14:13but I really don't want to ruin it for you
14:15and give it all away.
14:17But you are part of the Inquisition,
14:19and what you're trying to do is secure power
14:21for the Inquisition within the hinterlands.
14:23That's what you're seeing here.
14:25So things you do, like setting up new camps,
14:27which you've just seen happen,
14:28and it's about to happen again,
14:31increases that kind of power
14:32that the Inquisition has over this area.
14:35Maybe taking part in some battles
14:37that you might find,
14:38or completing quests,
14:39will all help with your influence.
14:41and that's really important to the story.
14:44So I had to do certain things in the hinterlands
14:46to be able to continue with kind of the story stuff,
14:49which I did,
14:50and then I spent like 10 minutes trying to kill sheep.
14:54So you can make tents out of their skin.
14:56Well, yeah, because you've got to sleep somewhere.
14:58You can't sleep under a sheep.
15:00It's looking very good.
15:01It's looking really pretty and big
15:03and fantasy-ish and with beards and swords and sheep.
15:07And it just ticks every kind of box,
15:09so if you loved the original Dragon Age,
15:11it looks and feels like one of those games.
15:15The battle system's really quick.
15:17The UI is looking slick,
15:19but all the depth is still there if you want it.
15:22There's loads to explore.
15:24There's loads to see and do.
15:25The voice acting's wonderful.
15:26The characters I've been introduced to
15:27feel memorable,
15:29more memorable maybe than previous games.
15:31You know, two had some good characters,
15:32but a lot of it for me felt a bit fluffy.
15:35And yeah, I just, oh my God,
15:37I'm going to lose my life to this game.
15:40and hopefully I'll meet the man of my dreams.
15:42Wow.
15:42Well, everyone, I'm sure, is really excited now,
15:44including me.
15:45Yay!
15:45So make sure you stay tuned
15:47because we're going to have more Dragon Age
15:48on the channel coming up.
15:50Yes!
15:51So make sure you subscribe,
15:52otherwise you might miss it.
15:53That would be a shame.
15:54No.
15:54Bye-bye.
15:55Bye-bye.
15:55Bye-bye.
15:55Bye-bye.
15:56Bye-bye.
15:57Bye-bye.
15:57Bye-bye.
15:57Bye-bye.
15:57Bye-bye.
15:58Bye-bye.
15:58Bye-bye.
15:58Bye-bye.
15:59Bye-bye.
