00:00This morning, I am honored to show you for the first time the trailer for our upcoming documentary
00:05on legendary Hall of Fame basketball coach, my dear friend Pat Summitt.
00:09In Breaking Glass, the Pat Summitt story, co-produced by my production company, Rockin' Robin Productions,
00:14we hear from the people who knew Pat best and see and hear never-before-seen moments of Pat.
00:21Take a look.
00:25Is there anything about Pat Summitt fans would not know?
00:32This is where my basketball career started.
00:35Hard to believe, isn't it?
00:37On the bottom floor is where we would feed our cows.
00:40And then on the top floor, my dad put our basketball goal.
00:44I had to work a lot harder. I had a lot more responsibility.
00:47I felt tremendous pressure.
00:49I was scared, I'll be honest with you.
00:51You learn to fight. That's exactly what I tried to do.
00:55She had those blue, vicious eyes.
00:57Give me that glare.
00:58She was a great friend to me. I miss her all the time.
01:01Pat put it out there that women can do whatever they want to do.
01:05She was such a radical.
01:07Take it to them.
01:09She was so much smarter than people realized.
01:11Every player that's played at the University of Tennessee has a diploma.
01:15She pushed you beyond your limits.
01:17You hated it.
01:18Come here!
01:19Deny one pass away!
01:21But then...
01:24You loved it when you saw the results.
01:26I love it.
01:27I may be old as dirt when I'm still trying to win ballgames.
01:32They were dominant.
01:33They were the best team in the country.
01:35Pat Summitt, she could coach any team.
01:37She's living in a world and it's on fire.
01:40Up until that point, there wasn't a lot that had gone wrong.
01:44And then the doctor said,
01:46Coach, you have Alzheimer's.
01:49Pat Summitt, a legendary college women's basketball coach,
01:52faces the challenge of her life.
01:53My mom did something different in that when she got that disease,
01:57she did not hide.
01:58She's like, we're going to fight this.
02:00And you believe it because she's one of the strongest people you know in your life.
02:05How do you beat Pat Summitt?
02:07You don't.
02:08This girl is on fire.
02:11Everybody loved her.
02:13Really loved her.
02:14Check out all this orange.
02:16That's for Pat Summitt.
02:17Yes!
02:17I love this Pat Summitt.
02:19She's walking on fire.
02:21I've been really blessed.
02:22I mean, you win with people.
02:24Watch out!
02:25Pat was a visionary.
02:26She always saw beyond basketball.
02:28What else do you need in your life?
02:32Just more time.
02:34She's just a girl, but she's on fire.
02:40And we wish we had more time.
02:42Yeah.
02:42More time with Pat.
02:43In June will mark 10 years since her passing,
02:47and such a short time after her diagnosis.
02:50And March is Women's History Month, and it's March Madness,
02:55and we thought it was the perfect time to really give her her flowers.
02:58And what we're seeing right now in women's sports,
03:01she was a cornerstone of building that.
03:03Oh, yeah.
03:03And just so grateful.
03:05Dawn Porter, the director that I worked with on this,
03:08she worked with Luther Vandross documentary and Lady Bird.
03:12And so just never before seen, you get to see Pat in a way that many people,
03:18I didn't even get a chance to see her in this way.
03:21That gave me chills.
03:22Like there were really chill moments in that where your body just kind of quivers,
03:26and I can't wait to see the whole thing.
03:27Yep.
03:28You're right about that.
03:28And I can't believe it's been 10 years.
03:30I can't either.
03:30Wow.
