00:01Hello and welcome to the atlas commentary for Tears to Tiara 2. We are here on the behest of John

00:33first game but it was never released here in the States. The second game is a standalone one so you
00:39don't actually need to know anything about the first game.
00:43But for those of you who are curious about it, there was an anime that was released for this title.
00:48I think you can pretty much watch it on Hulu Plus if you guys were interested. There's a little bit
00:53of references and nods to people who are familiar with the first game but again this is totally standalone. You
00:59won't really need to worry too much about that.
01:03Let's see here. So Sam here is in the beginning, in a mid-level, or was this mid-chapter?
01:10This is the second chapter. So it's a ways in. So a number of characters are out that we can
01:17showcase to you. The game was also developed by Sting so they've done a lot of strategy RPGs and it's
01:25pretty solid.
01:27And here you can see Sam showing off all the characters. Again, they're all unique. They all have their own
01:32abilities. Here's the map. They're all unique. All the different stages and layouts that you come to expect.
01:43And with each battle you can deploy a certain amount of minutes will change with each battle you can progress
01:49through.
01:51Yep. And how else the different leader is. And each leader has a different skill attached to the character.
02:02And since we're on this screen let me point out some of the unique things that are set for tiers.
02:10So I don't know if you guys can see in the top left corner there's a chain stock. This is
02:14actually, think of it as a super meter for strategy RPGs.
02:18Every time you get hit or deal damage you'll build up this meter and you can use it for many
02:22different things in combat.
02:24For instance you can boost magic. I don't know if you can show that here Sam. Right now. Not right

02:31It's actually going in battle. Yeah it should go in battle. Okay. You can use it for boost magic which
02:34Sam will show later on.
02:37Or use it for unique joint attacks as well as consecutive normal attacks. So you'll be using this quite often
02:46in the game.

03:02On that note, there are a few unique abilities as well for certain characters.
03:08This one in particular is talking about the main character's awakening ability. I think of it as a...

07:33So, there's always a player phase and then an enemy phase.
07:35And once those two phases end, it'll become the next turn.
07:42Another particular thing that we can probably talk about here is, unique to Tears, you can actually rewind to previous
07:49turns as...

07:53So, you can go back as many times as you want to undo plays.
07:58But just a heads up, if you perform the same exact sequence of actions, you'll get the same results in
08:08terms of like dodges or attacks.
08:11Yeah, the percentages won't change.
08:12Yeah, they won't change unless you do something different.
08:14You know, like you buff here and then you go attack.
08:16Or you attack from a different angle and change the percentage.
08:21But if you follow the same sequence, then it's still not going to change anything, even if you do different
08:27actions.
08:28So yeah, it's a little more convenient for freezers.
08:31I mean, what, the only penalty is the amount of time spent in the game, so...
