00:20Trains A New Era è un nuovo nuovo progetto.
00:24È un grande progetto, è probabilmente la più grande cosa che abbiamo fatto in Trains' storia.
00:29Next generation graphics, advanced physics.
00:33Refactored everything, rethought everything.
00:35Tain delivers pretty much everything you've experienced from Trains in the past,
00:40but then we've got a bunch of new features on top as well.
00:45Our interface has been improved across the board.
00:50We've basically tried to simplify things so that you're only ever a couple of clicks away from where you want
00:56to get to.
00:57So that allows users to load up the routes menu in one window to see what routes they have access
01:05to,
01:06while loading up Content Manager in another window,
01:10having the launcher available in another window,
01:13and maybe even loading one of those routes up.
01:15So they can potentially have unlimited number of windows open to be using Trains or from the One database.
01:24Several years ago we decided that we had to create a new underlying architecture for Trains to take us into
01:32the future.
01:32The relationship of E2 and Trains is simply put that Trains is the game and E2 is the engine.
01:40We also have a much, much upgraded lighting and shadowing system, so everything looks a lot more realistic.
01:46Normal maps really pop out at you.
01:48It's not a bought off the shelf engine, it's written custom for us, by us.
01:55What it means to an everyday gamer is that you're going to get much better graphics,
02:00you're going to get much smoother results as you move around the world,
02:03everything's going to stream in smoothly.
02:05They're going to get the best experience they've ever had in Trains.
02:08They're going to be driving along.
02:10Driving through a forest, all the trees having a shadow on the ground,
02:14cast dynamically from wherever they happen to be.
02:17You see that tree waving backwards and forwards, the shadow moves at the same time.
02:21It's, you know, it's brilliant.
02:24And to have that cast across the track and onto the side of the train and whatever.
02:28Particles like smoke and weather light off the terrain.
02:31Smoke won't penetrate through tunnels or penetrate through a bridge.
02:35It will billow underneath it and billow around it.
02:37So you get some really cool results visually from that kind of thing.
02:41That and the lighting effects are much crisper, much deeper.
02:45You get more bright highlights, more specular, more reflections, more bump maps.
02:51It brings a lot of detail out in the world.
02:53The loco is going to be ramping up.
02:55The smoke's going to be billowing in their face.
02:58There's going to be no pauses whatsoever because the engine is going to be taking care of
03:03of laying off all the processing it needs to do to multiple cores
03:07and not getting bogged down on one core having to do everything.
