00:17Today we want to give you a behind the scenes look at the creation of our announcement trailer.
00:22Creating something this impressive requires a lot of time but also a lot of talent in multiple fields.
00:27Let's meet the people behind it.
00:30When we started to work on the announcement trailer, we started with the game.
00:34What's the game about? The danger of a believable battle amongst warriors.
00:38That's what's the basis of the trailer and it's also the basis of the game.
00:43The originality of the trailer comes with the complexity of it.
00:47Having a single long take actually makes it very difficult to accomplish.
00:51It's a real immersion on the battlefield.
00:53It's an adrenaline rush we wanted to provide one of the viewers to feel immersed in our universe.
01:00We wanted the viewers after seeing it to be like, okay, give me a sword. I want to fight now.
01:06When we were looking for a director and for a crew to make this piece, we had this really good
01:12luck of encountering Platige, specifically our director Tomek.
01:16We were sitting at a table and his eyes lit up and he said, wait, wait, wait, what if we
01:21just made this piece really pure?
01:23What if we just focused on the purity of the warrior? Pushed everything else aside?
01:28And he started talking and 20 minutes later, I'm like, this is my guy.
01:32I want the trailer that is in this guy's head.
01:37It's been awesome.
01:38I've had, it's one of the easiest creative collaborations I think I've ever had.
01:42So I couldn't be happier at this point.
01:43We'll see if it holds.
01:45The general concept, the base concept is return to the basics.
01:51It's showing the fight as something primal, something which is in our veins, in our lives, in our blood.
02:01And we've got all this beautiful technology which is behind the games.
02:05And we are trying to bring this emotion from under our skins, from inside and have some fun with these
02:18primal emotions.
02:19Because, yeah, war is bad and fighting sometimes is bad, but it helps you actually discover yourself.
02:26It's not about beating someone.
02:28It's actually about fighting with someone.
02:31It's not about story, it's not about great characters, it's about primal feeling of being a fighter.
02:42And I hope that this trailer will cover that.
02:46As a stunt coordinator, I was blessed with a lot of talented people coming from different disciplines.
02:52So martial arts, MMA fighters, acrobats, cowboys.
02:56We had video references, we had weapon experts, we had martial arts guys, we had experts from all regions and
03:06all countries and everything.
03:07Even though we're looking for good fighters, we're basically building our own martial arts or our own fighting technique.
03:16Because we're fighting swords, we're fighting with katanas.
03:19But it's a very peculiar way, so very genuine to this game.
03:25Starting from nothing, from a piece of paper, and nine months later, sitting in a theater in Los Angeles and
03:33looking at the final piece, you're like, okay, that is wonderful.
