This video is a study of all of the San Francisco 49ers passing plays from Super Bowl 19 to truly show that Bill Walsh's rendition of the West Coast Offense emphasized more 5-and-7-step drops rather than 3-step drops (as, namely, Mike Holmgren and Jon Gruden's versions of it had). He also had play action passes be a important part of his offense, and because of Joe Montana's athleticism (at least early on in his career), Bill Walsh had Montana rollout of the pocket and either pass or run.
