00:08I'm Vanessa Ghilotti. Vanex is a nickname. I represent Tech in Milano.
00:14My name is Steve Palakis. I go by Bloodhawk in the fighting game community and I'm from New York.
00:18My name is Alexander. I'm 15 years old and I'm from Philippines. My nickname is AK.
00:24My name is Jimmy J. Tran and my pseudonym is Mr. Naps. I'm from Northern California, San Jose.
00:30My name is Artur Zeklik. My nickname is Devil. I'm from Poland and I'm representing my sponsor's team, Farm to
00:36Farm.
00:37I won my first tournament when I was nine. I started to play when I was really, really little kid.
00:43The first Tekken game I played was Tekken 5.0 back in about 2004 or 2005. My main character is
00:48Brian. It's been Brian for about 10 years now.
00:51My first serious Tekken was the Tekken 6. King is my favorite character.
00:55Furnamet is the best in my life.
00:58This event was by far one of the most fun to spectate.
01:02Really enjoyed the whole production value of the whole thing. Screaming at the top of our lungs. That was so
01:06cool.
01:06Hi, my name is Mark Julio, also known as Markman. I'm the global sponsorship and community manager at Madcats, but
01:12I'm also one of the leaders of the Tekken community.
01:14I thought the Tekken 7 Global Finals was an amazing event. Action-packed matches all throughout the event.
01:20We had 27 of the best players from around the world. It was a great experience. I'm really glad to
01:24be here.
01:25Lots of love to the Tekken Project team and Bandai Namco Entertainment for really putting on this great event.
01:29My name is Aris and I was flown out here to Japan from America to commentate the King of the
01:34Iron Fist Tournament 2015.
01:36It was amazing. The matches were so close. A lot of the players that you didn't expect were going to
01:40do so well.
01:41They just did great and, you know, I couldn't be happier.
01:44Hey guys, we're here at the King of the Iron Fist Tournament or the Tekken 7 World Finals here at
01:49Bandai Namco's headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
01:51We have 27 contestants from all around the world. People from Southeast Asia, Japan, Europe, and the Americas.
01:58They're competing for 10 million yen or more than 80,000 US dollars. So let's check it out.
02:33We'll see you next time.
02:34Tekken 7 really is a different kind of game. It's not as difficult and not as hard to get into
02:38as Tag 2.
02:39It's more of a fundamentally sound, I'd like to say, and really is a great Tekken installment, I think.
02:45It was really hard to pick favorites throughout the tournament.
02:48I was obviously rooting for Nii. He made it to the Grand Finals, but he fell short to the EVO
02:52champion, Nobi.
02:53So it was actually really good to see that, the clash with the Titans, really, between those two.
02:57Those guys are obviously known as like the best in Korea and the best in Japan.
03:00So it was really nice to see the best of the best go at it.
03:01I was blown away. The announcement showing off, obviously, Akuma from the Street Fighter series was such a great, like,
03:09fan service for not just Tekken fans, but for fighting gamers in general.
03:12It was really, really sick to see that.
03:15Seeing the new characters, or the existing cast with different outfits and everything, it was really cool to see a
03:21new, fresh take on what we know and have come to love with Tekken 7 so far.
03:25Okay, I'm going to be totally honest. Every time they say we have an announcement, it's like, underwhelming, right?
03:30So I was preparing myself to be underwhelmed, but I can't believe it. My pants were in an uproar.
03:35This is crazy. Everyone's been wondering, where's Akuma, right? He's busy trying to kill Heihachi.
03:40And it's integrated into the story of Tekken. Unbelievable. Unbelievable.
03:44Since it's an update and it's what we're eventually going to see on console, I'm really looking forward to seeing
03:48more characters, more customizations, a lot of cool stuff.
03:51I'm just really looking forward to what the future has in store for Tekken.
03:54So really, really an enjoyable tournament. I'll never forget it.
03:57Everyone that's watching, I hope you guys are enjoying Tekken. The future is bright, so I've got to put these
04:02on.
04:14Okay, so I have Nobi, the Champion of the World at the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2015 with me,
04:22and also Masakari-san.
04:24He's the tournament organizer of the largest Tekken tournament in the world, Master Cup, which had 935 people alone this
04:31year, and he plans on the next year.
04:33So let's talk to him a bit. Who was your strongest opponent?
04:36I don't know if I can't even know if I can.
04:40But I was the first time to fight against Tekken, so I really enjoyed my dreams.
04:47So I'm really happy to see that.
04:49So next year, you plan to continue with Tekken.
04:52And do you plan to go to tournaments and such?
04:55Yeah, for sure.
04:56Obviously, everybody has to be introduced to Japan.
05:01I'd like to start to come to come to play with the next time.
05:03If there were still some general tournaments that were great to be met,
05:05the American players than The Strong Style,
05:06it was a lovely place to be made.
05:10So the American players were all involved in their Makesports.
05:13It's so exciting.
05:21Grazie a tutti.
