Cast: Barney, Michael, Derek, Tina, Min, Baby Bop.

Writer: Mark S. Bernthal
Director: Jim Rowley

Songs: "Barney Theme Song", "Taking Turns", "Swingin' Up to the Stars", "Please and Thank You", "Snackin' On Healthy Food", "I Try To Be Polite", "Good Manners", "Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavor?", "Splashin' in the Bath", "Three Little Fishes", "I Love You"

Trivia: This episode marks:
The seventh time where Time-Lapse is used. It is used when Derek is racing in his potato sack.
The final episode where Michael appears without Tosha.
The final time Derek is seen without glasses is like in the Backyard Gang videos.
Derek wears the same shirt from "Happy Birthday, Barney!".
Michael wears the same outfit from "I Just Love Bugs."
It is revealed that one weakness of Barney's is being ticklish.
Barney messes up his magic by giving the kids winter clothes instead of their usual outfits. This very situation happened in Waiting for Santa (with The Barney Shake), but in reverse (summer clothes, instead of winter clothes).
During this, Tina wears the same winter hat that Luci wore in "Four Seasons Day".
The keyboard that Barney plays in the song "Good Manners" is a KORG M1.
This group (Michael, Tina, Derek, and Min) later appeared in Barney's Magical Musical Adventure.
Michael wears the same hat and gloves from "Four Seasons Day" and will wear the same coat in "Home Sweet Homes."
Derek wears the same pants in "Alphabet Soup", and Derek wears Adam's coat from "Waiting for Santa", and this is the only episode where Derek wears the only scarf, the only mittens, and the only hat.
Tina wears the same pants from "Hop to It!" and ""I Just Love Bugs"", and Tina wears Luci's hat and mittens from "Four Seasons Day", and Tina wears Luci's old coat from "Waiting for Santa" that will be worn by Tosha in "Home Sweet Homes", and this is the only episode wears Tina wears the only scarf.
Min wears the same pants from "Be A Friend", and Min wears the same earmuffs from "Four Seasons Day" that will be worn by Kathy in "Home Sweet Homes", and Min wears Tina's old coat from "Waiting for Santa" that will be worn by Kathy in "Home Sweet Homes", and Min wears Tina's old scarf from "Waiting for Santa", and this is the only episode where Min wears different mittens.

01:43Thanks for pushing me, Tina.
01:44Now it's your turn to swing, and I'll push you.
01:48Okay, men.
03:14Hello there. Can a dinosaur join in the fun, too?
03:19Sure, Barney. Tina and I have been playing on the swing.
03:22Would you please push me again, man?
03:24Sure, I'd love to.
03:26Oh, I like the way you've been taking turns.
03:29Manners are rules for being nice to people.
03:32And you're using good manners and being polite to each other.
03:37I'll push you all the way up to the stars, Tina.
03:40Okay, man, and I'll pretend I'm swinging at nighttime.
03:45I'm starting slow and swinging real low.
03:51But soon I'll be going much higher.
03:57Then I'll swing so high, I'll be up in the sky.
04:02And pretend that I'm a high flyer.
04:12Oh, there she goes.
04:16She's swinging up to the stars and she just passed Mars.
04:20She better look around soon.
04:23Because if she's not careful to watch where she's going,
04:27I might just bump into the moon.
04:52I like to look up at the sky as I swing back and forth.
04:57It's fun to play outside.
04:59We can do lots of things outside.
05:01And guess what, Barney?
05:02We planned a special outdoor surprise for you today.
05:05Oh, a surprise?
05:07Oh, I love surprises.
05:09Let's see.
05:10Is it a game we're going to play?
05:12Well, that's part of it.
05:13Oh, goody.
05:14Games are fun.
05:15Fun and games, fun and games.
05:16There's more.
05:18Oh, okay.
05:18Let me see.
05:19Is it something special we're going to eat?
05:22It's lots of things we're going to eat.
05:24We're going to have an after-school picnic.
05:26A picnic?
05:27That sounds like a super-duper delicious surprise.
05:31It'll be a lot of fun.
05:33But why don't we play a game until we get hungry?
05:36How about a tug-of-war?
05:38Yeah!
05:40Barney could be at one end of the rope,
05:41and we could pull on the other end.
05:43That's a great idea.
05:47Okay, Barney, the team that can pull the ribbon
05:49over to its side of the stump wins the tug-of-war.
05:52Ready?
05:54Yup.
05:55Go.
06:01Boy, you kids are stronger than I thought.
06:04I'm not moving you an inch.
06:06We'll never win.
06:08I have an idea.
06:10Keep pulling.
06:15Ditchy, kitsy, cool.
06:16Stop that.
06:18I'm dinglish.
06:20Ditchy, kitsy, cool.
06:23Hey, you won!
06:24Yes, I won!
06:26Oh, nice going, kids.
06:29That's the funniest tug-of-war I've ever been in.
06:33Why don't we play another game before our picnic?
06:35Okay, what should it be?
06:37How about a sack race?
06:39Okay, let's go!
06:44Okay, the first person to hop past the steps
06:47and then over here to the gate wins.
06:50Everybody ready?
06:51Just a second, Barney.
06:53Derek, I think I saw something in your bag.
06:56Yeah?
06:57Okay, get on your mark.
07:00It was big.
07:02Yeah?
07:03Get set.
07:04I think it was a big bug.
07:07A bug?
07:09Yay!
07:10Go!
07:16Derek is the winner!
07:20Yay!
07:21Yay!
07:22Hooray!
07:24Oh, boy.
07:26Looks like that butterfly got a little shook up.
07:28Not as shook up as Derek was.
07:30I think I'm ready to eat now.
07:32Me, too.
07:33Would you like to join us?
07:35Of course, Tina.
07:36I'd be delighted.
07:38Everything we've brought is in the classroom.
07:40Let's go get it.
07:41Okay.
07:42Bye, Dad.
07:44Michael, could you please help me with the door?
07:46Sure.
07:47You're welcome, Tina.
07:50There are lots of things we can do to be nice.
07:54Sometimes they're hard to remember.
07:58But there are two little things you should never forget.
08:03From January through December.
08:10He's talking about please and thank you.
08:13They're called the magic words.
08:16If animals could talk, you'd hear the fishes and the birds.
08:20Say them please and thank you.
08:22Because they're the magic words.
08:25Use them in the morning, at noon, and night.
08:27Because it's a great way to be polite.
08:30Please and thank you.
08:32They're the magic words.
08:34Derek, would you please help me with this?
08:36Sure.
08:38You're welcome.
08:41We're talking about please and thank you.
08:44They're called the magic words.
08:46If animals could talk, you'd hear the fishes and the birds.
08:50Say them please and thank you.
08:52Because they're the magic words.
08:54Use them in the morning, at noon, and night.
08:57Because it's a great way to be polite.
08:59Please and thank you.
09:00They're the magic words.
09:03Here, Barney.
09:03Let me help you with this.
09:04Why, thank you, my...
09:05Oh, sure.
09:09We're talking about please and thank you.
09:12They're called the magic words.
09:13If animals could talk, you'd hear the fishes and the birds.
09:17Say them please and thank you.
09:19Because they're the magic words.
09:21Use them in the morning, at noon, and at night.
09:23Because it's a great way to be polite.
09:25Cheese and thank you.
09:27They're the magic words.
09:31Okay, everybody.
09:33I think we're ready to eat.
09:34Boy, this food looks great.
09:37It's a picnic full of healthy snacks.
09:43Snackin' on healthy food is what we like to do.
09:46Eatin' apples, oranges, carrots, and some celery, too.
09:50Nuts and cheese.
09:51And some of these.
09:53And a glass of fruit juice, too.
09:57Mmm, these are some of my favorite foods.
09:59And they're all good for us, too.
10:03Snackin' on healthy food is what we like to do.
10:06Eatin' apples, oranges, carrots, and some celery, too.
10:10Nuts and cheese.
10:11And some of these.
10:13And a glass of fruit juice, too.
10:16I just love fruit juice.
10:18These are the best after-school snacks.
10:21Mmm, yum!
10:23Snackin' on healthy food is what we like to do.
10:26Eatin' apples, oranges, carrots, and some celery, too.
10:30Nuts and cheese.
10:32And some of these.
10:33And a glass of fruit juice, too.
10:37Nuts and cheese.
10:38And some of these.
10:40And a glass of fruit juice, too.
10:47You know, eating healthy snacks is good for us.
10:50And being polite to other people is good for us, too.
10:54Hey, everybody.
10:55Besides saying please and thank you,
10:57what are some ways we can be polite when we're eating?
10:59It's not polite to read to cross a table for food.
11:03You should ask someone to pass the food to you.
11:05Uh-huh.
11:07Michael, would you please pass me the carrots?
11:10Oh, sure.
11:11You're welcome.
11:13And it's not good manners to talk with your mouthful.
11:17You shouldn't make noise or chew with your mouths open, either.
11:21That's right.
11:24I can make a clap with my hands.
11:27I can make a stomp with my feet.
11:31I can make a cluck when I cough my tongue.
11:34But I am very quiet when I eat.
11:37I am very quiet.
11:51When I am chewing my veggies, I always keep my mouth closed.
11:58I can make a cluck with my teeth.
12:02Make a scary noise in the night.
12:05Ooh.
12:06I can make a whistle when I cough my lips.
12:09But when I eat, I try to be polite.
12:11That's right.
12:17I always try to be polite when I eat.
12:20But even if you don't talk with your mouthful, or chew with your mouth open, or smack your lips, you
12:26can still be loud.
12:27What do you mean?
12:29Some foods are just noisy.
12:31I'll show you.
12:32Take a bite of your carrot stick.
12:34Okay.
12:38Mm-hmm.
12:41Now, Min, bite into your apple.
12:49Derek, eat one of those crackers.
12:55Here comes the celery.
12:59Ooh.
13:06Ooh.
13:07Mm-hmm.
13:10I guess you're right, Michael.
13:12Some foods are noisy all by themselves.
13:15But I'm glad you all use good manners anyway.
13:19Sure.
13:19Because we were all taught good manners when we were little.
13:22And speaking of good manners,
13:25hit it, Barney.
13:28Oh, please?
13:30Oh, okay.
13:32Oh.
13:37Okay.
13:38Hey.
13:40Hey, let's tell them about good manners, Michael.
13:44Ready?
13:45Ho-ho.
13:49Hit it, Michael.
13:51My parents started teaching me when I was just two.
13:54All about manners and the right things to do.
13:57They told me learn to say thank you, and learn to say please, and learn to say excuse me if
14:02you happen to sneeze.
14:03Ho-ho-ho.
14:04Yeah.
14:05Good manners.
14:08Good manners.
14:10Ho-ho.
14:11Good manners are important to everyone in the world.
14:16Ho-ho.
14:17Ho-ho.
14:17Ho-ho.
14:17My parents kept on teaching me when I was three, and then the more I learned, the more
14:22that I could see that there's a way to do it wrong, there's a way to do it right.
14:27Everybody use your manners now and be polite.
14:29Oh, please.
14:31Good manners.
14:34Good manners.
14:37Good manners.
14:38Good manners.
14:38Good manners are important to everyone in the world.
14:41Oh, yeah.
14:44Okay.
14:45Watch me now.
14:46Watch me.
14:47Watch me.
14:47Ho-ho.
14:48Here we go.
14:49Ho-ho.
14:56Ho-ho.
14:57Ho-ho.
14:59Ho-ho.
14:59Ho-ho.
14:59Ho-ho.
15:00Ho-ho.
15:00Ho-ho.
15:01Ho-ho.
15:01Ho-ho.
15:01Hit it.
15:02Good manners.
15:05Good manners.
15:07Ho.
15:08Ho.
15:09Good manners are important to everyone in the world.
15:12Ho-ho.
15:12Ho-ho.
15:14Good manners are important to everyone in the world.
15:18You said it.
15:20Ho-ho.
15:21Ho-ho.
15:22Ho-ho.
15:22Ho-ho.
15:23I just love good manners.
15:25Ho-ho.
15:26Hey, I bet you know some other ways you can show good manners.
15:30You should always cover your mouth when you cough.
15:33Cough.
15:33Cough.
15:33Or when you sneeze.
15:36Ha-choo.
15:36Excuse me.
15:38Bless you.
15:39If you're chewing gum, you should keep it in your mouth and not play with it.
15:42I know a silly song about something you should never do with gum.
15:46Ho-ho.
15:47What's that?
15:49Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight?
15:54If you chew it in the morning, will it be too hard to bite?
15:59Can't you see I'm going crazy?
16:01Won't somebody set me right?
16:03Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight?
16:28Ha-ha.
16:32Ho-ho.
16:34I would never take gum out of my mouth and stick it to something.
16:37Ooh.
16:38Sometimes my mom lets me chew bubblegum, but it's not good manners to blow bubbles in front of people.
16:43It's okay to blow bubbles with friends, though.
16:45But with bubblegum, you can only make one at a time.
16:49Why don't we have some fun making lots of bubbles?
16:52Lots and lots of bubbles, please.
16:54Oh, wait a minute.
16:58Let's make this our very special splash day.
17:01Oh, cool.
17:02And for that, we need some special clothes.
17:06Whoa! Thanks, buddy!
17:08Bye, boy!
17:09Thanks, buddy!
17:10Okay, here we go!
17:13We'll put the bubbles here.
17:15Here, I'll get the door.
17:18You're welcome.
17:22Tina, may I have the fly swatters?
17:25Sure.
17:26You're welcome.
17:28Here, Michael.
17:29Oh, thanks.
17:29Here, Min.
17:30You can use these.
17:32Thank you, Derek.
17:33They use them for what?
17:34For making bubbles.
17:35Just dip them in the bubble mix.
17:37Just watch.
17:43Whoa!
17:44Let me try!
17:45Whoa!
17:46Whoa!
17:48Oh, look at them all!
17:54Whoa, look!
17:54Wow!
17:56Oh, excuse me, Min.
17:57I didn't mean to bump into you.
17:58Oh, that's okay, Michael.
17:59Here we go.
18:00Here's some more.
18:01No!
18:02Whoa!
18:02We can almost get in these, Barney.
18:04Oh, oh, oh, oh!
18:04Yeah, they're so big, Barney!
18:06Well, they sure are.
18:08Here we go!
18:09Whoa!
18:10Whoa!
18:11These are neat, Barney.
18:13And a teeny tiny.
18:14Teeny tiny was a big one!
18:16Whoa!
18:17Oh, wow!
18:18What?
18:18I can fit in that one.
18:19Whoa!
18:20That is huge.
18:22Wow!
18:33Baby boy!
18:36Hi!
18:38I love bubbles!
18:43Splash, splash, splash!
18:46Sometimes I splash too much
18:49I hope I won't get in trouble
18:52But when I take a bath
18:54It's so much fun watching bubble after bubble after bubble
18:58Oh, when you're splashing around
19:00It is fun to pretend
19:02You're a fish or a froggy or a duck
19:04But don't forget to wash your arms and legs
19:08And your tummy and your back
19:12Splash, splash!
19:24Sometimes I splash too much
19:26I hope I won't get in trouble
19:29But when I take a bath
19:31It's so much fun
19:33Watching bubble after bubble after bubble
19:35Well, when you're splashing around
19:37It is fun to pretend
19:39You're a fish or a froggy or a duck
19:41Quack, quack
19:42But don't forget to wash your arms and legs
19:45And your tummy and your back
19:49Oh, when you're splashing around
19:56It is fun to pretend
19:57You're a fish or a froggy or a duck
20:00Quack, quack
20:00But don't forget to wash your arms and legs
20:04And your tummy and your back
20:06And my tummy and my back
20:09Oh, playing with water is fun
20:16Hey, let's have a splash party
20:19Yeah
20:20We can do all sorts of fun things with water
20:22Yeah
20:25I watch my daddy do this every morning
20:29Oops, missed a spot
20:33Just as good as my dad
20:36Boy, this is smooth
20:41I don't think the fish are biting, Barney
20:45And do you know why?
20:48They're too busy swimming
20:50Oh, see?
20:54Look at the fishies
20:56Oh, they're pretty
21:02Down in the meadow in an itty-bitty pool
21:05Live three little fishies and a mommy fishy too
21:08Swim, said the mommy fishy
21:10Swim if you can
21:11And they swam and they swam all over the dam
21:14Boop, boop, diddum, daddum, waddum, chew
21:17Boop, boop, diddum, daddum, waddum, chew
21:20Boop, boop, diddum, daddum, waddum, chew
21:23And they swam and they swam all over the dam
21:27There they go
21:29One, four, one
21:33Stop, said the mommy or you will get lost
21:36But the three little fishies didn't want to be bossed
21:39So the three little fishies went off on a spree
21:42And they swam and they swam right out to the sea
21:45Boop, boop, diddum, daddum, waddum, chew
21:48Boop, boop, diddum, daddum, waddum, chew
21:51Boop, boop, diddum, daddum, waddum, chew
21:54And they swam and they swam all over the dam
21:58Be careful little fishies
22:00That's a big ocean out there
22:04Hooray, said the little fishies
22:05Here's a lot of fun
22:06We'll swim in the ocean till the day is done
22:09So they swam and they swam and it was a lark
22:13Till all of a sudden they met with a shark
22:16Boop, boop, diddum, daddum, waddum, chew
22:19Boop, boop, diddum, daddum, waddum, chew
22:22Boop, boop, diddum, daddum, waddum, chew

22:28A shark!
22:30Oh, look out!
22:34Help, cried the little fishies
22:36Look at the whales
22:37Look at the whales
22:38Quick as they could
22:39They turned on their tails
22:40Back to the pool
22:42In the meadow they swam
22:43And they swam and they swam all over the dam
22:47Boop, boop, diddum, daddum, waddum, chew
22:50Boop, boop, diddum, daddum, waddum, chew
22:53Boop, boop, diddum, daddum, waddum, chew
22:56And they swam and they swam all over the dam
23:01Welcome home, fishies!
23:08Derek, would you like to see me make a star out of water?
23:11A star out of water? How can you do that?
23:14Watch.
23:14Okay.
23:29Hey, pretty neat, Tina.
23:31Thank you, Derek.
23:33Okay, Baby Bop, guess how many cups it will take to fill this up and bring the ducky to the
23:38top.
23:39Let me see.
23:40I guess eight.
23:43I guess six.
23:45Maybe three.
23:47I say four.
23:48Okay, Baby Bop, fill it up.
23:51Okay.
23:52Fill it up.
23:55One.
23:55One.
23:56Fill it up.
23:58Two.
24:01Fill it up.
24:03Three.
24:05Fill it up.
24:08Four.
24:09Oh, yes!
24:11Good guess, Michael.
24:13You were right.
24:14It took four cups to bring ducky to the top.
24:17Ooh, can we do one more, please?
24:21Sure.
24:22Okay, guess how many cups it will take to fill this up.
24:25I say twelve.
24:27Maybe seven.
24:28I think ten will fill it.
24:30I guess eight again.
24:33Okay.
24:34All right.
24:35Here we go.
