00:30in New England feel that we had in Fallout
00:31but take a place that was more rugged
00:34and like a harsher terrain
00:36and then build on that
00:38make something that was sort of a feral
00:40experience
00:41Most of the town is actually destroyed
00:44and the inhabitants live on the
00:46very edge of the town on a dock
00:48So you first arrive to this island
00:49and it's a huge island, you're not sure where to go
00:52and you're pointed to Old Longfellow
00:54who's this salty fisherman
00:55you meet in an inn, this is now
00:57your guide to the island.
00:59I got better things to do
01:01than guide fools to the death
01:02When we looked at making the people
01:04who live in Far Harbor, we thought
01:07about how would people survive in this
01:09horrible irradiated mist
01:10and we knew before all this would have happened
01:12they would have been fishermen, they survived
01:14up here on their own and could take care of
01:16themselves, so that's sort of reflected in their clothing
01:19and then the armor that they wear
01:20They have large meat hooks for melee
01:23weapons and we added a harpoon gun
01:24that's really powerful and does a lot of damage
01:26We added a new lever action hunting rifle
01:29It's very powerful
01:30and has a really cool rate of fire
01:32We added a whole new combat armor
01:35at the very top level called the marine
01:37combat armor. It's the best
01:39armor you can get, short of
01:40wearing the power armor. So we focused
01:43on looking at some of the natural
01:45creatures and what would become of them
01:46as they evolve in this wilderness
01:48So we added something called the gulper
01:50this sort of mutated
01:53salamander creature
01:54We have the angler who's
01:56through his physiology, absorbs the fog
01:58and then spits it at the player
02:00in flaming fireballs
02:01We also have a fog crawler
02:03It's sort of like a really large mutated
02:05and we added a lot of new creatures like this
02:08that would fit in the ecology
02:10of this new location
02:12One of the big things we wanted to explore
02:14with synths in Far Harbor
02:16is this idea of what does it mean
02:18if I think I've replaced someone
02:20I could be a human being
02:22I could be a synth
02:24All of these feelings could be genuine
02:27or they could all be a lie
02:28that someone else has put into my head
02:30and I'm just carrying out some
02:33unknown purpose
02:35We really like the experience
02:37of the glowing sea
02:38in the base game
02:39Huge irradiated landscape, high level area
02:41You find the children of Adam there as well
02:43We wanted to go into the question
02:46of who are they really
02:47What brings someone into a cult
02:50with a belief that
02:52the atomic bomb is somehow a great thing
02:54When we were planning Far Harbor
02:56we knew we wanted there to be
02:58a lot of different endings
02:59or different ways of resolving
03:02the conflicts between
03:04the groups
03:05and that each group would have
03:08a conflict, not only a conflict
03:09that encompasses the whole island
03:11but different conflicts within the groups themselves
03:16We hope you enjoy Far Harbor
