00:16Ideas sparking like a sonic boom
00:19From a spark in the dark to a world that gleams
00:25We were chasing lightning in a fever dream
00:29Feels like a fever dream tonight
00:35Generations amplify
00:39From a spark that changed everything
00:42To the future we still bring
00:45Hear the thunder, feel the rise
00:49Fifty years lighting the skies
00:54From a whisper to a global screen
00:59Still running through the fever dream
01:05Good morning, and welcome to this special chat
01:08Sam Connect
01:08Today is a very meaningful moment for us
01:11Because we are celebrating fifty years of thinking different
01:15Fifty years of passion, creativity, and belief in the power of technology
01:20To change people's lives
01:21Fifty years ago, in a small garage, a big idea was born
01:26Apple was founded on a simple notion, that technology should be personal
01:31At the time, that idea was radical
01:34Computers were large, complex machines meant only for experts
01:38But the belief that technology should empower everyday people changed everything
01:43And it set Apple on a journey that continues today
01:46April 1st marks fifty years of Apple
01:49From the first Apple computer to the Mac
01:52From iPod to iPhone
01:53From iPad to Apple Watch and AirPods
01:56And through the services millions use every day
01:59The App Store, Apple Music, Apple Pay, iCloud, and Apple TV
02:04We've spent five decades rethinking what's possible
02:07And putting powerful tools into people's hands
02:10But through every product, every breakthrough, and every moment of innovation
02:15One idea has guided us
02:17The world moves forward because of people who think different
02:20Progress always begins with someone
02:23An inventor, a scientist, a student, a storyteller
02:27Someone who imagines a better way
02:30That spirit has guided Apple from the very beginning
02:33But it has never belonged to us alone
02:35Every product we create is only the start of a story
02:39The most meaningful chapters are written by all of you
02:42The people who use our technology to learn, create, explore, and connect
02:47You've started businesses, written books, recorded songs, and built communities
02:53You've captured life's most important moments
02:56From your child's first steps to celebrating milestones with loved ones
03:01You've run marathons, chased new ideas, and discovered new passions
03:06In your hands, the tools we make have improved lives, and sometimes even saved them
03:12At Apple, we're always focused on building tomorrow more than remembering yesterday
03:17But today we want to pause and thank the millions of people who make Apple what it is
03:22Our incredible teams around the world, our developer community, and every customer who has been part of this journey
03:28Your creativity inspires us, your trust challenges us to do better, and your stories remind us what technology is really
03:37for
03:37As we look ahead to the next 50 years, one thing remains true
03:42The people crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do
03:46So here's to the crazy ones
03:48The misfits
03:49The rebels
03:50The troublemakers
03:52The round pegs in the square holes
03:55The ones who see things differently
03:57And now, I'd like to show you a video about the history of Apple, and just how far this company
04:03has come
04:04Apple was founded in April 1976 by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak
04:10Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955 in San Francisco
04:16And was adopted by Paul Jobs and Clara Hagopian
04:19As a child, Jobs became interested in electronics and pursued this passion alongside Bill Fernandez at Homestead High School
04:27In 1971, he met Steve Wozniak and the two attended the Homebrew Computer Club in Menlo Park
04:33Wozniak developed the first computer with a typewriter-like keyboard that could connect to a regular TV
04:39This device was named Apple One
04:42Recognizing its potential, Jobs sold his VW Microbus to fund its production
04:47And Wozniak sold his HP calculator
04:49On April 1, 1976, they founded Apple Computer Inc
04:54The first Apple logo depicted Isaac Newton sitting under an apple tree
04:58The Apple II was released in 1977
05:00And was one of the three computers credited with launching the home computer market
05:05In 1980, Apple went public
05:07Creating more millionaires than any company in history
05:11Jobs was forced out of Apple in 1985
05:14Due to a power struggle but founded Next
05:17Which Apple acquired in 1996
05:19Allowing Jobs to return to the company
05:22Under Jobs' leadership, the iMac was launched in 1998
05:26And Apple began its rise again
05:29The iPod was introduced in 2001
05:32Followed by the first iPhone in 2007
05:35The iPhone revolutionized the tech world
05:38And helped Apple become one of the most valuable companies in the world
05:42In August 2011, Steve Jobs passed away due to complications from cancer
05:47Leaving a significant legacy
05:49After his death, Tim Cook became CEO
05:52And led Apple through several major developments
05:55In 2014, Apple introduced the Apple Watch
06:07Expanding its product lineup into wearable technology
06:10The following year, Apple Music was launched
06:13Competing in the streaming service market
06:15Apple continued to innovate with the release of new iPhone models
06:19Including the iPhone X in 2017
06:22Which featured facial recognition technology and a new design
06:26In 2018, Apple became the first publicly traded company
06:30To reach a market valuation of $1 trillion
06:38There are so many ways Apple improves people's lives
06:42These are the reasons we do what we do
06:45And this year we are celebrating this 50-year anniversary
06:48By introducing our best lineup of products
06:51Including the biggest iPhone lineup by far
06:54Let's start off with Apple Watch
06:56Apple Watch has impacted the lives of millions around the world
07:00Helping users stay connected and live healthier lives
07:04Today, we're celebrating 10 years of Apple Watch
07:07And taking this amazing little device even further
07:21Apple Watch is an irreplaceable companion
07:24From using Apple Pay without your wallet
07:27To writing a quick email
07:28The display is key when interacting with watchOS
07:32From staying up to date with the weather
07:35To checking off a reminder
07:36Being able to clearly see the UI is necessary
07:39That's why
07:41On the new Apple Watch Series 11
07:43We've implemented the same incredible nanotexture display
07:46As seen on iPad and Mac products
07:49Ensuring you can always read what's on the display
07:52Even in the broadest daylight
07:54And it doesn't stop there?
07:56Apple Watch Series 11 has the largest display on any Apple Watch
08:01Without changing the size of the watch
08:03We've done this by making the borders 33% thinner
08:07Giving Apple Watch Series 11 the largest screen-to-body ratio ever on an Apple Watch
08:13Here's Carter to tell you about the incredible updates coming to health on Apple Watch
08:31Apple Watch Series 11 is the best watch in the world for monitoring health
08:35Letting users track sleep, activity and fitness, heart rate, and so much more
08:40Now we're adding another radical health feature to Apple Watch
08:43Apple Watch already uses advanced PPG sensors to measure blood flow under the skin for heart rate tracking
08:49With complex algorithms enabled by the new S11 SIP
08:53PPG can detect variations in blood flow and pressure
08:56Meaning Apple Watch Series 11 will now alert you when unusually high blood pressure is detected
09:02Back to Asher
09:03Thank you
09:04We would tell more about this new watch
09:06But clearly each ad sounds too lazy and can't afford anything
09:10But cap cut
09:12But that's that Series 11
09:14Our users will love the much bigger display with a nano texture option
09:18Blood pressure monitoring
09:20And the new Siri powered by Apple Intelligence
09:23Apple Watch was built from the ground up to work seamlessly with iPhone
09:27Which is another product we have updates for today
09:30We often take for granted the role that the iPhone plays in our lives
09:35From connecting with family and friends
09:37To getting work done swiftly and easily
09:39To capturing life's special moments
09:42And Apple Intelligence will push those innovations even further
09:46It's time to introduce the second generation of innovative iPhone models built for Apple Intelligence
10:11This iPhone 18 once again pushes the boundaries of what an iPhone can do
10:15It starts with our improvements to the 6.3 inch Super Retina XDR display
10:21First, it gets the same always on display loved by our pro users
10:27LTPO technology allows this feature to operate at the lowest power
10:31So the iPhone is always ready
10:33Whenever needed iPhone 18's display also has a coating that makes it 60% less reflective
10:38Allowing you to see your content better in areas with intrusive lighting
10:42ProMotion has been a beloved feature on our pro iPhone models since 2021
10:48So we've created a new technology that allows us to bring the amazing fluidity of ProMotion to our base models
10:55Introducing SuperMotion a new technology that allows iPhone 18 to refresh from as low as 1hz to as high as
11:0290
11:03SuperMotion is designed to respond dynamically and match your content
11:06Delivering fast refresh rates when needed and preserving battery life when you don't
11:11Like ProMotion
11:14We designed iOS to take full advantage of SuperMotion
11:17It's also great for apps and games
11:20Providing a more responsive experience
11:22Smoother graphics
11:24And more detailed gameplay
11:25That's the Super Retina XDR display on iPhone 18
11:29On iPhone 18, we needed a chip powerful enough to run features like Apple Intelligence on device
11:36And efficient enough to last the user a day and beyond
11:39With speeds never before seen on an iPhone
11:41So we worked tirelessly to create a processor that meets these goals and this is the result
11:47Introducing A20
11:49It's our all new chip, created for iPhone 18
11:52A20 is built on our 3rd generation 3 nanometer technology
11:57So it's amazingly efficient and super powerful
11:59The A20 chip features a 30% faster 6 core CPU
12:04With 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores
12:08And a 40% faster 8 core GPU
12:11And that's the new, super powerful
12:15Super efficient A20 chip making iPhone 18 faster than ever
12:19With an enhanced display, a new thermal engine, and the Apple designed A20 chip, iPhone 18 leaps way ahead
12:27But there's still more to the story
12:29Last year, we introduced iPhone Air a completely new way to experience iPhone in an incredibly thin and light design
12:36And today, we're excited to give this thinner iPhone a sequel
12:40Introducing iPhone Air 2
13:11The all new
13:11The all new
13:11Impossibly thin, incredibly powerful iPhone Air 2 is coming this fall 2026
13:17Cause that's just the beginning of what we're introducing today
13:21With the advancements made possible by Apple Silicon
13:24We have been able to push the limits of iPhone design and innovation
13:28And that breakthrough and innovation has led to something truly phenomenal that will push the limits of what a smartphone
13:34can do
13:35It's time to recruit the newest member of the iPhone family
14:15So Chand Curse's will pick up the album
14:16But I'm getting to know where the Marvel controlling's which is Smбы
14:22But I'm only looking at the level of look in the new
14:29And that's the najle
14:30Let's review my 46
14:30The newest album
14:31And that's the new
14:32The famous chords
14:33meds
14:34The local
14:44To tell you all about iPhone Fold, the most foldable iPhone we ever created.
14:50Here's FrontPageTech.
14:52Next year, you'll only be seeing three new iPhones.
14:56iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, oh, and, uh, this.
15:11This is the brand new iPhone Fold, and it's probably your next iPhone.
15:17After years of companies like Samsung pioneering and perfecting the foldable form factor,
15:24Apple finally decides that 2026 is the year to pretend they're doing it too.
15:28After experimenting with both clamshell style, like the Z Flip, and book style, like the Z Fold,
15:34Apple has settled on the book style, and for good reason, because they think they've done the impossible.
15:41No visible crease down the middle of the display.
15:46Now, like most Apple fans, I'm guessing you just pretend that other phones don't even exist, so let me catch
15:52you up.
15:52One drawback to foldables, one very big drawback to foldables, regardless of how cool they may look and feel,
15:59is that from perhaps too many angles, you can see and feel a crease down the middle of the plastic
16:06display where the hinge is.
16:08This isn't typically a design flaw, it's just inherently what happens when you take an OLED display and bend it.
16:16Apple, through witchcraft and good vibes, has completely subverted this issue.
16:21They're doing this by using a metal plate that disperses the pressure of bending the display.
16:27That, along with using liquid metal in the hinge, is supposed to make this thing durable enough to hit a
16:32small child.
16:33Although foldables have increased in market share and are considered cool by teenagers and adults that work at Outback Steakhouse,
16:41the visible crease that sits dead center in all foldables is the one thing that, for me, just doesn't feel
16:48right.
16:48A visible crease sitting down the center of every foldable ever is an indicator to me that,
16:54hey bro, maybe we didn't need to start bending these in the first place.
16:58So, removing that crease entirely, making it seem seamless, is a major step in the right direction.
17:05Still silly, but a major step nonetheless.
17:07On the outside, you'll be using what kind of looks like a standard iPhone that has a 5.5 inch
17:14display.
17:15An iPhone that measures around 9mm when it's all closed up.
17:18All in all, relatively thin, considering when you unfold this thing, you'll be greeted with a 7.8 inch iPad
17:26-like display.
17:27It's up to you if you want that in a phone.
17:29I do not.
17:32When this thing is unfolded flat, you're looking at 4.5mm thin.
17:36It's kind of crazy.
17:37And in terms of cameras, four.
17:40There are four of them.
17:41One on the outside, two rear-facing cameras, and the other one is on the inside.
17:46We have so much more to cover about iPhone Fold, and we'll do that after today's sponsor.
17:51The best iPhones have one screen that doesn't fold.
17:54And if yours doesn't have a screen protector on it, then don't blame us when it's busted.
17:58Don't go out in the world all exposed.
18:01At FPT, we trust ESR for a reason.
18:04They're the best.
18:05When it comes to price and reliability, no one else comes close.
18:09This Armorite UltraFit screen protector goes on with no trouble, no dust, no air bubbles.
18:14Pull this tab, you're done.
18:16It's seven times stronger than other generic screen protectors, and it's clearer than ever with anti-reflective coating.
18:21So your screen has brighter visuals, reduced glare, and more accurate color.
18:25Pair their screen protectors with a case, and you've got the best of the best.
18:30Their hybrid magnetic case is designed for MagSafe with even stronger magnets.
18:34It protects every corner of your phone, and the camera protection doubles as a stash stand.
18:39ESR thought of everything.
18:41Get your hands on the best today by clicking the links in the description below.
18:46Let's have a look at the front of iPhone Fold again.
18:49You might wonder, where is Face ID?
18:52Yep, nope, just like my dad at my baseball games, it's not there.
18:57In terms of security, Touch ID will be making a return next year, right in the power button,
19:03which is also returning to the top of the phone.
19:06The phone will also use Apple's second-gen in-house modem, the C2, to connect to all things cellular.
19:13Where things get a bit more interesting is battery life.
19:16Apple will be using high-density battery cells, thanks to the slimming down of the display driver.
19:21This obviously makes room for more battery, and with the better efficiency of the C2,
19:27this phone might actually last more than two hours when it gets hot.
19:30The only colors available will be black and white, but also very, very expensive.
19:39Apple tests their customers every year, trying to see just how much they can charge for, uh, everything.
19:44And with iPhone Fold, we're talking something in the ballpark of $2,000 to $2,500.
19:51Now, personally, I'm not sure it will be that expensive, but it is the only other iPhone launching in September.
19:59Like I said, we're only getting iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and iPhone Fold, which positions this as the premium
20:08phone of the year.
20:09To me, this sure opens up the avenue to finally call an iPhone Ultra, and charge an ultra price in
20:17the process.
20:18Which, you guessed it, Apple customers will happily sell their next car to purchase.
20:22Cause honey, that car ain't got no Apple logo on it, but the iPhone Fold sure will.
20:31iPhone Fold truly incredible with new capabilities that will make a real difference in our users' lives.
20:37Their unique combination of powerful technology, ease of use, and thoughtful design make them indispensable.
20:44And we're not done yet.
20:46Our Pro models represent the very best of Apple innovations, advancing features across design, camera, performance, and more.
20:54The next generation Pro pushes each of these further in ways only Apple can.
20:59Introducing iPhone 18 Pro.
21:39To tell you all about iPhone 18 Pro, here's front page tech.
22:03This is the only other iPhone coming this year in September.
22:14It's also technically the cheaper option this year in September.
22:19That iPhone Fold is going to cost you as much as a used Honda.
22:22In terms of design, think iPhone 17 Pro, but burgundy.
22:28Luckily, hidden under this design are a couple special new features.
22:33And we'll get to those.
22:34Where things do get interesting in terms of the look of the phone is the front.
22:39Dynamic Island was originally introduced with iPhone 14 as a clever software magic trick to hide the fact that the
22:46actual hardware looked like this.
22:49A circular cutout for the camera and a separate cutout for Face ID.
22:53Dynamic Island turned that design blunder into a feature.
22:57And a great feature at that.
23:00One of the most clever ideas Apple has ever had.
23:03With iPhone 18 Pro, you might notice first the top of the device.
23:07The Face ID is still there, but now it's here.
23:13Face ID seems to be heading under the display this year.
23:16Leaving only the front facing camera visible, which will be moved over here to the left.
23:21Okay, so then what about Dynamic Island?
23:24Well, at this stage, obviously, Dynamic Island is too integral to the actual software experience itself.
23:30It's one of those things that helps make iPhone feel like the iPhone.
23:34So that is staying, but it's also moving.
23:38Overall, smaller because it doesn't have the Face ID array to compete with.
23:42But functionally, effectively, it's the same.
23:45This slight change to the actual physical design of the phone reminds me a lot of the jump from iPhone
23:5013 Pro to 14 Pro.
23:53The only way you and your friends will know you have the new one is the front.
23:57There is another way that you'll be able to tell which iPhones are new this year.
24:01Color.
24:02Apple is testing three new colorways for iPhone 18 Pro.
24:06Burgundy, brown, which is just a burgundy or burgundy, and purple.
24:11The cameras this year are getting a massive upgrade.
24:15An upgrade that I would argue is the most significant upgrade that has come to iPhone camera systems since the
24:21addition of more than one of them.
24:23Apple is leaning towards shipping this phone with a variable aperture, which physically changes how open or closed the lens
24:31is.
24:32More open to allow for more light to physically enter in a low-light environment or tighten during brighter conditions.
24:41Basically, the same way the human eye works.
24:44The aperture opening wider also allows for a more shallow depth of field, which in this case would look and
24:51be more genuine than ever, relying less on the computational capabilities of portrait mode and software.
24:58I would like to add two points of caution here.
25:01Number one, I would not be shocked if we only saw this ship with iPhone 18 Pro Max.
25:07And number two, I happen to know that they also tested this last year with iPhone 17 Pro, and obviously,
25:14this did not ship with that device.
25:17So, do with that information, but you will.
25:20There is so much more iPhone 18 Pro to talk about, and we'll do that after hearing from today's sponsor.
25:27Out of all of the VPNs on the market, I use one of them, Surfshark.
25:33From all the benefits of a VPN like hiding your IP address, accessing geo-restricted content, public Wi-Fi protection,
25:41and general online security, you're smart.
25:44You know why VPNs are important.
25:46I'm just here to tell you that Surfshark is the one that I use.
25:49It's the one that I trust.
25:50Use across unlimited devices, desktop, phone, or tablet.
25:54No logs are stored.
25:55They have amazing 24-7 customer service.
25:58And 4,500 servers across 100 countries.
26:02Surfshark is a VPN that does not compromise your experience.
26:06You basically forget that you're using one.
26:08And there are other services, like Surfshark Search, that avoid ads and tracking.
26:13That's a great bonus.
26:14Even greater is getting four extra months for free at surfshark.com slash FPT with code FPT at checkout.
26:22All VPNs claim to be the very best, but Surfshark is.
26:28Link in the description below.
26:29Camera control on iPhone 18 Pro is getting slightly tweaked this year.
26:34As of right now, the camera control button on your iPhone responds both to touch gestures as well as pressure.
26:42But turns out that's kind of a clunky experience in use and also costs Apple a lot of money to
26:47make.
26:48For iPhone 18 Pro, they're simplifying the dynamics of this button.
26:52By removing the capacitive functionality, Apple saves on manufacturing costs, but more importantly, repair costs.
27:00Leaving us only with the pressure sensing functionality.
27:03To go along with the iPhone's incredible computational prowess, this year's model ships with the A20 Pro chip built off
27:11a 2 nanometer process.
27:13So, as is with every year, this year's new iPhone will be even faster, more efficient, leading to better battery
27:21life.
27:21Who would have guessed?
27:23Apple will also finally be replacing Qualcomm inside of the Pro iPhones, shipping this one with the new C2 modem
27:32for faster, more efficient cellular connection.
27:35But it also means that Apple doesn't have to pay Qualcomm anymore, which is the real reason.
27:40But perhaps the biggest change coming to this year's new iPhone 18 Pro is happening more so under the radar.
27:49Literally.
28:11Apple has been working on integrating support for 5G networks
28:16that are broadcasted from satellites, rather than only relying on towers built out of Elmer's glue and chewed up bubble
28:24gum that are sticking out of the ground here on Earth.
28:26This is a plan that I believe became very obvious once they implemented emergency SOS features via satellite back with
28:34the iPhone 14.
28:35And just like those features, this is a big deal.
28:40It is a game changer.
28:42It's one of those things that tweaks the landscape moving forward.
28:45Not just for iPhone, but for everybody.
28:47But by the time this is all implemented 100% of the way they envisioned across all of their devices,
28:53Tim Cook will be long gone because that guy is leaving.
29:02Let's give a huge thank you for everyone joining this event and to celebrate the ways Apple changes our lives.
29:10This wouldn't have been possible without the 50 years of iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches and more.
29:15Thank you for joining us and have a great 50 years of thinking different.
