00:03So today we're laying the first of the floor slabs. We've got 140 tonnes of concrete being
00:09laid. We're using local Cornish suppliers phase concrete. They are using local labour and this
00:15is the first slab of the five commercial units that will form Market Street. So Market Street
00:21itself is going to be the commercial hub of Nanseddon. We have Tesco's coming in which is
00:25really exciting. We have a market hall which is going to be full of exciting food vendors
00:30and all these slabs are going to be following through in the coming months. So everyone knows
00:36this has been one of the wettest winters we've had on record. The guys have really struggled.
00:41It's just been a brutally tough winter. We're really proud of the ground workers. Through
00:46all that they've managed to remain positive and upbeat with great quality, great safety on site
00:52and to be pulling this slab today is a massive achievement for them and we as the duchy are
00:56very grateful to them for doing such a such a good job through such tough conditions. So
01:01this is a huge milestone for the project. This allows us to really set our stool out. We
01:05can now get the steel frame coming onto site. We can allow further trades to come onto site
01:10and really start ramping up progress and hopefully in the next few months start to see frames coming
01:15up out the ground and we'll start to really motor on. So Market Street it's the commercial heart and
01:22the hub of Mansleddon. I think once Market Street's built and finished we're going to have a buzzing
01:27lively site which hopefully all of Mansleddon will be there to enjoy and the wider community and the
01:33wider Newquay community to to bring together as a central central hub. So this is a really exciting
01:39milestone. It's been a really long winter. We've all worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to get on
01:44site. We've got a great design team working away and so for us personally it's really exciting to see us
01:49out of the mud and starting to get into the dry, get the frames up and get the buzz and
01:53excitement of
01:54a busy construction site. So as a very proud local Cornish man I am very excited about Mansleddon and
02:01we have a clear housing need and I'm really excited to be part of Mansleddon. To be building Market
02:07Street is such a key element to Mansleddon to building communities, healthy communities and I think
02:13it's going to be a fantastic project.
