PEP Non-Celebrity Editor Bernie Franco received the Outstanding Online Feature on Youth and Education award at the Lasallian Scholarum Awards 2026 for his piece, “Life Story of Wenna Joy Culibra: From Kasambahay to cum laude.”
The story highlights Wenna's journey from working as a kasambahay to graduating cumlaude at Caraga State University, becoming the first degree-holder in her family. She finished her education degree as a Gokongwei Brothers Foundation TeachSTEM College scholar.
