00:28La Turingia Test
00:29This is a first-person puzzler set on Jupiter's Ice Moon Europa.
00:33We started with a common science fiction question, is there life on Europa?
00:38And we went to scientific advisors to try and get an idea of what that life would actually be.
00:44So we're telling a science fiction story and it is really fictionalised and we have lasers and all this kind
00:49of stuff.
00:50But it's based in an underlying reality of wanting to tell a story that could actually be true.
00:57The original prototype was really cool because what happened when we saw people play it is they instantly understood what
01:03was happening and they understood the mechanics of the game.
01:07It's kind of a game where you pick up and you can just play it, you learn through the mechanics
01:12and that's something that we wanted to push in terms of design.
01:16We wanted people from any background to be able to come and pick up the controller and find it a
01:21fun experience to play.
01:22When the team showed me the Turingia Test I thought it was a great development on that last game.
01:26You feel a lot more involved in the world, you have a lot more control over the environment and it
01:32just opens the world up to a lot more possibilities really.
01:37We present the player with a linear story that they can progress through but as well as this linear story
01:44there's also elements underneath that that will change the meaning of the story for the player as they experience it.
01:53We'll see you next time.
01:54We'll see you next time.
01:59We'll see you next time.
02:02We'll see you next time.
02:18Bye.
02:43Developing the game has been about that challenge of making something functional but beautiful.
02:59We'll see you next time.
03:02We'll see you next time.
03:03We'll see you next time.
03:04Bye.
