Prince William meets teenagers studying at Bournemouth's Bourne Academy where he talks to local teenagers who are getting lessons in practical life skills. William sat in the school's outdoor camp and heard about the teenagers' experiences of being taught about tenancy rights and other issues. "I know you've got a lot", William says. Report by Keechl. 00:00Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you.
00:04Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Nice to see you. Cheers.
00:09Is it something, how would you, how would you go about finding that information out of the distance to worry
00:13about it?
00:13I think it would have been like thought about with paranoia rather than like confidence.
00:18Because I think it would have been to think about because it's a lot of money.
00:22So it's not to scare you? No, no, no. It hasn't done that.
00:24So then you've got a lot on anyway. There's a lot of things to think about and worry about.
00:29It's not to add more burden, that's it. What you're learning at school in general.
00:34Do you feel that these, because I see this as kind of a future, future-proofing you.
00:39Whereas do you think your education system at the moment is future-proofing you?
00:42It just made me think, OK, maybe I need to start thinking about this before I actually get to that
00:46point
00:46so I can plan ahead and just be a bit more comfortable when approaching that kind of situation.
00:51Something one of the teachers were saying aside was that they'd heard a comment about somebody saying
00:56well actually now I can think about confidently moving away from Bournemouth.
00:59Whereas previously, because of everything they thought it was safer and easier to be Bournemouth,
01:03they now feel they could go somewhere else.
01:04What else.
01:04One line.
