00:19I think Forza Horizon 3
00:20is the best Horizon we've made.
00:21We're always trying to better ourselves
00:23to make it more incredible than the last time.
00:26I think where we are
00:27with showcases now is that
00:29we almost don't want them to be possible
00:32in real life. We don't want them to be realistic.
00:34You know, we're trying to create something
00:35which is over the top and
00:37unrealistic and could never happen.
00:45We're on the set of Gymkhana.
00:46We're about to do a stunt with that big
00:49ass freight train.
00:50It's a little nauseating.
00:55Forza Horizon 3 has a number of showcase events
00:58and some of those
00:59we shared with the team at Gymkhana
01:02that inspired some of the stuff
01:04you're going to see in real life.
01:05The first showcase in Horizon 3
01:07was one that we really wanted to blow players away with.
01:11We came up with
01:12a vehicle that you're racing
01:13but the vehicle is actually
01:15winched up by an enormous
01:17dual-rotor helicopter which effectively
01:19just gives it a lift.
01:21The train showcase in Forza Horizon 3
01:24is something we really wanted to do
01:26and really get the danger
01:27and peril that comes from
01:29not just racing alongside a train
01:31but having to beat it to a crossing point.
01:35For us to go and take that idea
01:37and say okay, how do we figure out how to do
01:39something like that in reality
01:41is really quite difficult.
01:43There's probably
01:44between a half a second
01:46and one second variable there
01:48of him making it
01:49or connecting with the train.
01:53The beauty of video games
01:55is that you can get away with things
01:57that you would not do in the real world.
01:59There is a rewind button intentionally
02:01in the game where you hit the Y button
02:03and you can back out of any horrendous crash
02:05or crazy stunt you did and do it again.
02:07Unfortunately, Ken does not have a Y button
02:09on his steering wheel.
02:11It's one take and you've got to nail it.
02:14We always want to do that moment
02:16where this is the reason you share this video.
02:19It's like what are those moments
02:20that are going to have people go...
02:22But with Forza Horizon 3
02:24actually you get to experience that
02:26any time that you want
02:28with a much lower risk than I deal with.
02:34I consider myself one of the luckiest race car drivers
02:37in the world because I get to do this stuff.
02:40I really hope that the fans
02:41continue to enjoy that
