Qatar expels officials from Iran's embassy after attacks on Ras Laffan gas field

00:00Iran has ramped up its attacks on energy sites across the Middle East overnight.
00:04It comes as the Iranian Revolutionary Guard have said we're entering a new era of war.
00:10Here in the UAE, the Habshan gas facility in Abu Dhabi was closed in the early hours due to a
00:16strike there.
00:17And we're hearing of similar reports across the region in Riyadh, in Saudi Arabia.
00:21Several sites were attacked in Qatar overnight, resulting in significant damage.
00:26Now, all three countries have condemned these attacks on these sites, saying it can lead to global security issues.
00:34And of course, they come off the back of Israel, attacking the South Par's gas field.
00:39That's Iran's largest gas field.
00:41Interestingly, President Trump came out overnight saying he had no idea that these attacks were going to take place.
00:48And he's condemned any further attacks on Iran's energy infrastructure.
00:53Now, this morning, Iranian media have issued a statement supposedly from the new supreme leader, Motjabar Khamenei,
01:01saying that he is condemning the killings of several of his senior leadership members, including Ali Larejani, who was his
01:09security chief.
01:11We're also having reports coming out of Tehran saying that Iranians are opposed to this regime.
01:16And they're now taking to the streets in protest.
