Paradox Interactive ha pubblicato un diario degli sviluppatori dedicato all'espansione Rights of Man di Europa Universalis IV.
Trascrizione
00:20Grazie a tutti, sono Jovan, sono il creativo leader di l'Europa Norsalistia e oggi
00:26e oggi voglio parlare di Rites of Man, la nuova expansione.
01:46e poi abbiamo aggiungato qualsiasi o consorts.
01:48Quindi invece di avere solo un rullo e magari un heir,
01:52poi abbiamo già il suo figlio e il suo figlio.
01:55Se il suo rullo dies e non ha un heir,
01:58o un underage heir. In Rites of Man, if you have a Queen or a Prince concept in charge,
02:03they can start wars. You're no longer limited by regency councils. Of course, there's other
02:09cool aspects to this. We've added personalities to rulers. Every ruler, heir or queen gets
02:15a personality as soon as they become an adult, when they're 15 in the game. Personalities
02:20are mostly good, but there's plenty of bad ones. I ended up with only bad traits on my
02:26current ruler in our multiplayer campaign. Not all that fun. But what do you do then
02:32if you end up with rulers with bad stats and bad traits? Well, there's this cool
02:36thing called abdicate, which means that if you have an adult heir, you can use abdicate,
02:41take a prestige and legitimacy loss, and your ruler retires to a monastery or
02:47somewhere, and your heir takes the throne. Well, now you say, well, my ruler is not
02:52always that bad, but my heir is a total loser. Is there a way I can get rid of him?
03:00Well,
03:00don't worry. Rites of Man allows you to arrange an accident or whatever we call it, disinherit,
03:09and the heir is never seen again. And you just have to roll the dice and wait for another
03:14heir. It's a gamble, but you may get rid of Enrico can still. As we continue developing
03:20Europe on Rosales, we keep adding different features that are applicable to only parts
03:25of the world to make a different unique experience every time you play through the game. So in
03:30Rites of Man, there's a few new religions and governments that get mechanics. The Coptic
03:35religion gets a new mechanic where there's basically a cooperative religion. We also added
03:40different cults to the fetishist religions in Africa. We've added a new unique government
03:46to the Prussians, another unique government to the Ottoman Empire. And there's plenty
03:50of more detailed mechanics that are to one part of the world to make sure that every country
03:55feels unique to play. In the time period of Europe on Rosales, not every state was centralized.
04:02So in Rites of Man, we've added more interaction and more information on how to handle your subject
04:08states. First of all, you can now build and develop inside your subjects. You also get far more
04:14information about your subjects in new interfaces and free new abilities to control how the armies
04:20of your subjects behave. You can tell them to start just sieging or being passive inside their own
04:26country to not risk their armies or tell them to be defensive. All of this to augment the options you
04:33were given in the Art of War expansion. Finally, the Rites of Man is accompanied by the 1.18 patch.
04:40We're adding new ideas, new achievements, improved AI, a new culture system where you have control over
04:46which cultures you get. But the coolest and the best thing with all of this is the new technology
04:52system. The technology system we've had in Europe on Rosales now harkens back to the origins of
04:58Europe on Rosales 1, where it was basically said that Western Europe were always faster than
05:04everyone else. Now, this is not necessarily true. In 1.18, the pressure patch, seven different
05:10institutions appear at every 50 years. They appear on the map in semi-historical places and they will
05:17spread through the world depending on how you interact with them, the AI nations interact with
05:22them, and if you can work on making sure that the institutions you want spread to your nation. And if
05:27you don't embrace things like the Renaissance, colonialism, Enlightenment, or the printing press,
05:33you'll slowly get more and more expensive technology and your nation will fall behind.
05:39Rites of Man will be released at October 11. But don't worry, you'll see plenty more of us before
05:44release day as we live stream on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
