01:17How do you reconcile as a voice actor? Like, I'm this good, I'm this upstanding, awesome kid, but also I
01:25may get into some stuff.
01:26A little bit of... Well, I think it's... I love characters like that because it really reflects life, I feel,
01:34as life is a gray area.
01:35There's no black and white of what's right and what's wrong.
01:38And I think that's something that her character struggles with, trying to figure out on which side she is, how
01:48she feels about the phantom thieves.
01:49Are they all bad? Are they all good?
01:52And so she kind of has to go on this journey of understanding what life is and where she fits
02:00and how she's going to make decisions of how she feels about them.
02:04But have you ever played a character like her, like Makoto before? Is this kind of like new ground for
02:09you or is it like drawing from bits and pieces?
02:11I've played similar aspects. I played a student council president, at least somebody that was running for student council president.
02:22Spoiler alert, I lost.
02:23And I've never played, well, maybe an anime, but certainly not on camera. I have never played a thief, as
02:34it were.
02:35And I have never done anything with this concept, which is why I'm so fascinated by it.
02:40This is the, I feel like there's sort of a paranormal aspect to it. There's a very, I don't know
02:46if spiritual is the right word, but very metaphysical concept to this game.
02:50And it's very smart, but it's grounded in reality. So I think there's a lot for people to grab onto.
02:55So I've never done all of these things in one project before, which is kind of cool.
