The Auburn Tigers got hot in the second half against South Alabama, and head coach Steven Pearl knew it would take some time to break down the Jaguars zone.

00:00Yeah, I mean, kind of what kind of what we expected, you know, just as far as the first 15
00:05and the energy that we had, you know, I thought defensively we were solid.
00:10You know, offensively, we settled for a lot of early shots.
00:12But here's the deal.
00:13That's what that zone does.
00:15And, you know, Coach Riley does a great job with it.
00:17And they make you settle for threes.
00:20And, you know, we went five for 26 or something, I think, in the first half.
00:25Yeah.
00:25And, you know, when you don't make shots, that obviously gives them confidence.
00:28And, you know, they came down and Jaden Cooper hit some big shots early.
00:32And, you know, Chase Harris is just a really talented player.
00:35So, you know, we were down 11 with 236 and, you know, we were able to cut it to six
00:41by halftime and had a couple of good looks late.
00:44So we had some momentum.
00:45I thought Elijah Freeman did a great job at the beginning of the second half of being aggressive early, attacking
00:50the rim.
00:51And, you know, kind of set the tone and obviously made some shots.
00:55Caden played great off the bench in the second half.
00:58Had a lot of step up him and KO combined for, you know, 35 of our 48 in the second
01:05half.
01:06So guards did a good job of making shots and did a better job defensively of picking up our pressure
01:11and trying to disrupt some of the things that they did.
01:13So, you know, kind of what we expected.
01:16I think it's a good job.
01:16I think it's a good job.
01:16I think it's a good job.
