00:00There's a fear of, like, screwing things up.
00:02There's too many things going right for this team right now.
00:05It's funny.
00:06That's been the big conversation of, like, some of our producers called yesterday.
00:09Like, did you expect it to go this well?
00:11And I think you guys know I was pretty bullish on the fact that I knew there would be rust
00:16with Tatum.
00:17But you look at the numbers through his first 140 minutes on the court, it's been really good.
00:23And they played good competition in that span.
00:25What rust have you seen?
00:26I mean, I saw a little bit, you know, the shot was a bit off.
00:29Yeah.
00:30But, like, his three-point shot has always been a little bit streaky.
00:33So I don't, like, get too worked up about that.
00:34I don't think it's anything to worry about.
00:37I thought for sure there would be, in general, there would be some woes as he kind of found his
00:42way back.
00:43But, yeah, like, I think you've seen some instances where maybe there's a loose ball and he doesn't dive on
00:49the floor yet.
00:49And that just comes down to trusting your body and being further removed.
00:53And the more reps he gets, the more he'll get back to doing that stuff.
00:56But, like, defensively, he's been great.
00:58He rebounds the basketball.
01:00I think he knew the other night, you know, when Brown had it going, he was like, he just let
01:06him have that floor.
01:07But they both ping-pong off each other really well.
01:10And I knew it would get there.
01:12But I wasn't naive enough to think that there wouldn't be some rust.
01:15And there just really hasn't been, at least in terms of how good the team has been when that duo
01:19is on the floor.
01:20And it's the difference to Jalen Brown that I'm amazed at.
01:23Because it's one thing to say it.
01:24He was saying all the right things before he got back on the floor.
01:27But to actually see it in practice, it's Jalen Brown's team and Jason Tatum's kind of slotting in.
01:33I keep pushing back on this.
01:35I think there's – do you – okay.
01:38Maybe I'll –
01:39Wow.
01:39A lot of thoughts.
01:40All at once.
01:40Fred, whose show is this?
01:44I don't know.
01:45Not John's.
01:46I think that's well – we're all well aware of that, Fred.
01:50Well, I mean, that was the obvious answer.
01:51But you and Hardy share – like, there's no – this is my show.
01:58Like, look, you might think that in your head.
02:00But it never manifests itself on the program, right?
02:02You're just – you guys are out here doing your thing.
02:04No.
02:05It's never occurred to me that I've never thought at all about whose show it was.
02:09No, it hasn't.
02:10It hasn't.
02:12No.
02:13I never wanted a show with my –
02:15I'm not trying to create drama.
02:16What I'm saying is –
02:16No, I never wanted a show with my own name on it.
02:18I understand what you're saying exactly.
02:19I think everyone gets so caught up in it.
02:21It's – we have so much time in media to scrutinize about, like,
02:25oh, it's this guy's team and it's that guy's team.
02:26And I'm not saying they don't think about it.
02:29They might not – like, Jason Tatum might very well think this is my team.
02:32Jalen Brown might very well think this is my team.
02:33But when you are on the court, the goal is to win,
02:37to put up the numbers that you, like, expect to put up.
02:41And I don't think they get overly caught up in, like,
02:43oh, it's a Jalen night.
02:45You know, I'm going to go sulk or whatever.
02:46I just think it's so overblown.
02:49And I think what we're seeing is they understand
02:51they're both still getting a ton of shots.
02:53It's like Hardy in the 90s.
02:54They're still being allowed to thrive.
02:56They're throwing it at them.
02:58Well, who wouldn't?
03:00God Almighty.
03:00God Almighty.
03:05Yay.
