Tripadvisor Affiliate Program 01
Transcript
00:00Booking.com pays TripAdvisor a commission. Let's just say $10. And TripAdvisor gives you 50% of
00:07that commission. That is $5 to you. So, if a booking, for example, pays TripAdvisor $20 for
00:14referral, you get $10. Still, it's very solid. But here's the part I really, really like.
00:21Alright, this is the bread and butter of it. With TripAdvisor, you get paid when users click
00:27out to their booking partners, even if they don't book right away. That's very different from most
00:34travel affiliate programs. TripAdvisor understands that most people are still in the research phase
00:40and they're comparing, they're reading reviews, they're checking out the prices, and they're not
00:47ready to book yet. And TripAdvisor still pays you for sending those people. So, you're not forced to
00:53sell. Alright, you don't need to push for a sale. You're just helping them do the research.
00:59TripAdvisor, even if it says it's an affiliate link, people don't get suspicious. You know,
01:04they don't feel like you're pushing some random website. You are sending them to something familiar
01:09and that lowers friction a lot. You know, that's a really good thing. On top of that, TripAdvisor
01:15gives you like a 14-day referral window. So, that's like a cookie. And that means if someone clicks your
01:21link today and they decide to book something within the next two weeks, you still get the credit. You
01:27still get that commission. And for travel, that's really, really great because people are extremely
01:32well. I'll always say this. Blogs are underrated. Alright, think about how you plan your trips.
01:39If you're going to go over in Barcelona, what do you do? Well, you Google for it. What to visit
01:47in Barcelona? Or where to stay in Barcelona? And as you can see, if you check the Google search,
01:54this is what people are searching for. Top 10 things to do in Barcelona. Places to visit in Barcelona
02:01in one day. Top 5 places to visit in Barcelona. And what are you going to get? Well, nowadays,
02:06you're going to get an AI overview, but people want to get some opinions from real people. And of course,
02:11you're going to land on a lot of these blogs, but not one single one of these blogs. Well,
02:19they give generic city info. They give tourist spots, restaurants. And if you click on them,
02:26you're mostly going to find some affiliate links. Alright, all of these. They don't make these blogs
02:32because they care if I'm going to have a good time in Barcelona or not. They want a place where
02:40they
02:40can just put their affiliate links, whether it's TripAdvisor, whether it's Booking.com, whatever.
02:46And if you click on these, if you click on these links within those blogs, the blogger makes money.
02:52That's it. And honestly, you don't need deep research. You don't need to be an expert.
02:57You can literally ask like AI.
