A measles vaccination campaign led by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) began Tuesday (March 17) in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, where hundreds of children were immunized on the first day as health workers carried out mass inoculations across hospitals and health centers in Goma. MSF medical team leader Monique Diarra warned that immunization gaps continue to drive transmission in vulnerable communities. - REUTERS

00:07here they told me she is suffering from measles and they started treatment immediately she is
00:14doing very well better than when we arrived she no longer has fever or cough she feels
00:21much better than when she arrived and I am happy it's true that we have more than 85 percent
00:33vaccine reliability but we have a 15 percent margin that lingers so even if we have been
00:40vaccinated as long as this margin is there it can still create pockets of measles that's why
00:47it's important to vaccinate and really be sure that we have vaccinated a good portion of the
00:53population especially the most vulnerable
