00:03Grazie a tutti i ragazzi, è david jaffe, direttore di DRAWN TO DEATH.
00:53Non è necessario essere DRAWN TO DEATH o meno di DRAWN TO DEATH.
00:56Allora, a first time, mi pensi, stai proprio, come in high school.
01:01Grazie a tutti.
01:22volevo fare DRAWN TO DEATH.
01:25Oh, my God.
01:26C'è cute stuff.
01:27C'è cute little bunny rabbits and unicorns.
01:31And so, when I got this job, I was just kind of like,
01:33I can't believe I'm actually drawing a butthole right now.
01:41I've always liked dark humor, actually.
01:43I've always been very cynical.
01:46Yeah, because you made the American Patriot rocket
01:49and you put Maiden China on the bottom,
01:50which I thought was wonderful, yeah.
01:52And that's how I got this job, I think.
01:53As it probably was, you designed the Patriot Act.
01:55And it was like, all right.
01:57So here we are, very close to launch of this game,
02:00which has been going on in development for quite a while.
02:02Looking back at it, is there one aspect of the game,
02:05of Drawn to Death, that you are most proud of?
02:08Well, I mean, I'm always working on the characters,
02:09so I'm pretty proud of them.
02:10But I think the thing that really wows me
02:13is when I take a step away from my own work
02:14and I just kind of see the general look of the game.
02:17And I see people playing it, I'm like,
02:18actually, it really does look like very, like, earnest.
02:22You know, it looks very much like what we planned
02:25for it to look like, you know.
02:26It feels like a notebook comes to life, you know.
02:28My mom, who's like a, like, six-year-old, like, old Asian lady,
02:31she saw the game, she's like,
02:32oh, it's like a high school notebook.
02:33I'm like, oh!
02:34You know, like, and that was at PSX,
02:35that was like a year ago.
02:36Yeah.
02:37You know, and I think it's only gotten better since then.
02:40Damn, you're good.
02:40I think just seeing all these, like, dark jokes
02:44that came from my mind, like...
02:47Which is your favorite dark joke?
02:49Oh, man, in the game?
02:50Yeah.
02:51God, that's a hard one.
02:52I think, I'll tell you my favorite,
02:53then you tell me your favorite.
02:54My favorite of yours is the billboard in Alien Town,
02:57which has the old man and woman granny's pies.
03:00Oh, that's your favorite one?
03:02I just love that you've decided to make her a cannibal
03:04who kills her longtime spouse and puts them in her pies
03:09and then sells them to people.
03:10I think that's just wonderful.
03:11But no, what is your favorite dark joke?
03:14Okay, well, actually, I think my favorite one is,
03:17it's on the, I don't know if it's on the cover anymore,
03:19but it's on one of the pages.
03:21Maybe someone will find it.
03:22But it's a banana flashing some strawberries.
03:25And so he's just, like, lifting up his banana skirt
03:27and he's, like, got his whole banana thing coming out
03:30and all the strawberries are, like, horrified
03:31and they're, like, covering their children's faces.
03:34and that was my favorite.
03:38I look at the game and it's exactly what I wanted to make.
03:41And it wouldn't be anywhere close to that without you guys.
03:45And I think you know that.
03:47It feels like that sort of high school angst,
03:50like, it's a metaphor for that.
03:51And so I thank you guys for creating that
03:54because it really brought that to life.
04:05To be very honest, don't give up
04:09time for your first breath.
04:11Grazie a tutti.
