00:14And we're here to announce Hearthstone's
00:17newest expansion coming this August.
00:20That's right. Last time we were all together
00:22was when we announced the Journey to Engroro.
00:24We're now midway through
00:25the Year of the Mammoth
00:27and we're very excited to share with you guys where we're going next.
00:29So where are we going next?
00:30Well, we put a graphic out before the Year of the Mammoth started
00:33detailing the whole year.
00:35We left some clues there
00:37for enterprising players
00:39to decipher our next expansion.
00:41A few of you guys thought we were going to go to Dalaran next.
00:44So Brode, are we going to Dalaran?
00:46We're not. We're not going to Dalaran.
00:48We are going
00:49to Northrend.
00:51Now Northrend is
00:53the frozen north of Azeroth.
00:56It's very cold. It's the home
00:57of the Undead Scourge.
00:59And if you're brave enough
01:01to make it all the way through the Scourge,
01:03at the very heart of Northrend
01:04sits Icecrown Citadel.
01:07You can work your way up
01:08to the very top spire of Icecrown.
01:10There sits the Frozen Throne.
01:12And sitting inside the Frozen Throne
01:14is the Lich King.
01:15The Lich King is one of the most iconic
01:19and tragic figures in Warcraft history.
01:23And that was kind of a big challenge for us.
01:25How do we take a powerful, tragic,
01:28and very dark character like the Lich King
01:31and bring him into the fun, lighthearted,
01:33and whimsical world of Hearthstone?
01:34So, we have an idea.
01:37What if for Icecrown in Hearthstone,
01:41what if everybody dies?
01:58And a little bit of a glimpse of the benzina
02:01And its own way,
02:07it takes a long distance.
02:08And it's still alive.
02:11As if everybody dies,
02:13And it's still alive.
02:13Iron historia level of Hearthstone is still alive.

03:11Knights of the Frozen Throne!
03:13That was incredibile.
03:15It's been forever since we've been talking about trying to make the trip to Northrend.
03:18I'm so excited.
03:20The heroes of Hearthstone have turned into Death Knights.
03:23And we're actually going to be bringing out the magic of the Death Knights, the unholy power of the Death
03:28Knights, to all nine classes.
03:31And the way we're going to be doing that is we're introducing a new card type, the Hero Card.
03:35It's the first time we've ever done that.
03:37We've had minions, spells, and weapons.
03:39But this is the fourth card type, the Hero.
03:42Hero cards cost mana.
03:44They take the place of the Hero you already have, they give you a little bit of bonus armor, they
03:51have a Battle Cry, and the kicker is, they give you a brand new Hero Power as well.
03:56So let's take a look at our first Hero card, Deathstalker Wrexum.
04:01He'll have a Battle Cry that does two damage to all enemy minions, he'll bring out five additional armor for
04:07you, but most importantly, his Hero Power is going to change to Build-a-Beast.
04:11Brode, what does Build-a-Beast do?
04:13You get to craft a custom zombie beast, and that means you get to choose from one of three beasts,
04:20and then choose again from three different beasts, and then stitch them together into a horrible abomination.
04:27We combine the mana cost, the attack, the health, and the text boxes, and you can do some really disgusting
04:34things when you jam two of these beasts together.
04:37So this is taking Rexxar, one of the greatest hunters across all of Azeroth, and figuring out what happens when
04:43he harnesses the power of the undead, and becomes a Death Knight to do amazing things with his beasts across
04:49the world.
04:49We also have a recurring theme of Deathrattle that you're going to see coming back with a lot of the
04:53minions.
04:54So what is one of our first Deathrattle minions?
04:56Well, I'm excited about the Shallow Gravedigger.
05:00And the way she works is that she comes into play with a Deathrattle effect.
05:04When she dies, she'll bring a random Deathrattle minion into your hand.
05:08We've got a lot of cool Deathrattle cards in the set.
05:10In fact, the set's got a lot of death in it, but it also has a little bit of life,
05:15and there's a keyword in Knights of the Frozen Throne called Lifesteal.
05:19Now, you may have seen some things like Lifesteal before.
05:23The way Lifesteal works is that any time a minion does damage with Lifesteal on it, you heal that amount
05:28of damage back to you as the hero.
05:30The Chillblade Champion, for example, comes into play with Charge, but also Lifesteal.
05:34So every time he hits a minion or your opponent, you'll be taking that health back into your hero.
05:39Lifesteal's a great keyword if you're trying to play a control-style game and keep yourself alive against an aggressive
05:46strategy.
05:47Also, this set is the first time we're seeing this mechanic on a spell.
05:52So let's check out Spirit Lash.
05:54Spirit Lash is a Priest spell.
05:57It deals one damage to all minions, but also heals whatever damage you deal back to your hero.
06:03Imagine a board with 14 minions.
06:05That's 14 health.
06:07Yeah, it's incredible.
06:08Now, it wouldn't be Hearthstone without a few additional surprises.
06:11So we have one more card we want to share with you guys today, and that is Prince Kelesa.
06:16And the way that Prince Kelesa works is he can come into play with a battle cry that if you
06:20have no other two-cost cards in your deck at all,
06:23he'll buff every single other minion that's waiting for you in your deck with plus one, plus one.
06:27This card seems crazy.
06:29It is crazy. I don't know what we were thinking.
06:31I don't know either.
06:32Just seen lots of awesome stuff, tons of new cards.
06:35We've got even more to come.
06:39So, with Knights of the Frozen Throne, you'll be climbing to the very top spire of Icecrown Citadel.
06:46Along the way, you'll encounter eight bosses that will be a great challenge.
06:50These will actually be harder missions than any of the missions you've seen before as you've been playing Hearthstone.
06:55And all of the missions that you'll see this time will be free.
06:58And if you played through World of Warcraft's Icecrown Citadel, you'll remember a lot of the characters like Blood Queen
07:04Lanethel,
07:06Sindragosa, Lord Marogar.
07:08We've got Professor Pewtercide.
07:10And, of course, at the very top, the Lich King himself.
07:15For those of you who are brave enough to venture into Icecrown Citadel, there's a special reward waiting for you.
07:22After you complete the first mission of Icecrown Citadel, we'll have a special legendary hero card, Death Knight, waiting for
07:29you.
07:30You like Death Knights?
07:30I love Death Knights.
07:32Cool.
07:32So, the set comes out in August, and we're excited to continue revealing new cards starting on July 24th.
07:42And it all kicks off later today, when we begin the pre-purchase for the Knights of the Frozen Throne
07:48expansion.
07:49That comes with a card back.
07:50It does. It comes with the Frostmourne card back.
07:53Frostmourne is one of the great legendary artifacts of Azeroth, and is the sword of the Lich King himself.
07:59The Hearthstone team has been having so much fun exploring Northrend and turning our legendary heroes into Death Knights.
